So we went to Komnata to celebrate my best friends graduation from college. We chose murder mystery. And first of all it was filled with satanic ideology and items. We didn’t expect that and wouldn’t have chosen it if had we known. However, the experience itself was fun to do with friends. Secondly, they had a large gate that lead to a crawl space. The gate was heavy. It was open and when I started to come out, it closed on my back. It was a really heavy gate and when I explained what happened to the worker, she said sorry and she doesn’t know how it happened. No offer for a free game in the future, or partial refund or anything. I was injured by their game. I gave it 2 stars because we had fun regardless but I wish they would have cared more about my injury.

Had an outstanding experience here at Komnata. Weve done several escape rooms, and this was probably the best weve ever done. Highly recommend.

This room was really cool! Everything worked really well and it definitely brought me and my team mate closer together. Our game master Maria was awesome and very funny and helpful. She definitely made the experience even better. I am for sure coming back to solve the other room.

This was the first escape room that me and my wife visited, we had a great time. Our host was very fun and informative. We plan on coming back and doing another escape room.

I went with my son and his friends for his birthday and had an amazing time ( We did the Impossible Murder Mystery). The atmosphere from just walking into the place to the whole experience was enthralling. The way you get clues and try to escape is very unique. Not just open a door with a lock and key sort of stuff. Lots of suspense and scares (and not in a cheesy guy in a costume jumps out at you kinda way.) I am counting on trying the other rooms here and also taking my smaller ones when the family friendly room opens.

I took my family of 5 to this amazing place, and we all had a real good time. We enjoyed Since we get inside 100% recommend . Period. We had to word together as a team find clues, solve puzzles, interact with the items inside the dungeon to escape.

We had a really great time this was the first time I have ever done one of these and I was a little skeptical but it really is fun and adventurous.I really like the storylineand how everything falls into place once you figure out the connections.I came into town from Houston and took my daughter there with me. The suspense and thrill was Non-Stop.We did the murder mystery but I plan on coming back to do the dungeons and Castle story line next time.

My husband and I recently did the murder mystery room and it was crazy good! We’ve been to three other places in SA and this has by far blown away all the competition this far. The clues flowed well and really challenged you to think and get involved. Everything was well thought out, interactive, suspenseful, and kept you on your toes. Will definitely go again! Bonus points: the pricing is great!

It was the first time I have ever done an escape room, and it was so much fun. I ended up doing the murder mystery which was very entertaining from the beginning to the end. The hostess Huda was so wonderful, she is an amazing person. I will definitely come back, and highly recommend this place.

My daughter and I had such a great time. We have done a few escapes in the past in other cities and found this is one of the best! Juda was a wonderful host. She played her part very well to help us get into the story mode. I cant wait to go again and participate in the other room.

It was my first time attempting an escape room and I had the BEST time here! I tried out murder mystery and the attention to detail was phenomenal. It was challenging enough to keep me on my toes but not too challenging to where it was impossible to escape. Maria was also a great host and thoroughly explained all of the rules and was just overall super friendly! Will DEFINITELY be going back to try out the other rooms!

This escape room was great! The atmosphere was more intense than the other escape rooms I went to. The puzzles were very engaging and well thought out. I did the Impossible murder mystery, and I highly recommend it!

It was fun! My first time doing an escape room and it was about what I expected. However my friend told me it was actually scarier than the ones she has gone to before. The clues were tough but not tough enough that we couldnt get out! They offer to give you hints if you ask. I liked that it was multiple rooms and all the hidden objects.

Attempted three of their rooms today and I will admit they were very well thought out.The rooms were extremely atmospheric, almost eerie at times, waiting for those jump scares that may or may not happen. Some interesting puzzles with some really diabolical tests made the whole experience even better. Only downfall was being locked inside a box and your fellow escapee Breaks Wind. Not a pleasant experience but Im sure our hostess found it amusing!Speaking of which, our hostess Julia was very attentive (and attractive too, with a beautiful accent!) and on hand to guide us through some of the difficult moments..Would I recommend Komnata Escape rooms? WOW! What a freaking night. I have done 40+ escape rooms and THIS right here was my most favorite experience EVER!! Me and my friend played Boxed Up and absolutely enjoyed it. The room was challenging but not too difficult at the same time. The experience was so immersive and made us feel like we were actually being kidnapped. Huda was a fabulous game host and she did a phenomenal job!! Give this place a shot because you won’t regret it.Edit: We went back and did the other two rooms and they were amazing too! Impossible Murder mystery was so much fun and scared me quite a bit. St. Angelo’s Castle was also crazy good with immersion and puzzles. Suroor was a fantastic game master and really made the experience great. Highly recommend any of the 3 rooms!!

Best escape room place I have been to. I have now done all three of their current escape scenarios and it has been an amazing experience each time. The quality and interaction that they provide is a step above any other escape room location I have seen. I am looking forward to the Frakenstein room whenever it opens up.

We came to do the murder investigation on a double date and we had SO much fun and cant wait to go back and try another one. It really had a creepy factor which we loved. Defininitely more intense than others I have been to. Fantastic experience.

The atmosphere of the escape rooms here was amazing! The puzzles were challenging and varied. Some other escape rooms have simple solve a combination lock and use the answer to solve another combination lock, but Komnata had physical puzzles, brain teasers and more. Wish they had more rooms, it is awesome!

Man, we had the absolute BEST time! The games were incredibly immersive, the hints were fair, the puzzles were challenging, and we loved the games so much we did two of em two nights in a row! An absolute MUST STOP if youre in the San Antonio area! Shout out to Maria, our game master. She was absolutely phenomenal at her job. She was such a Dave!

My friend and I decided to play all 3 of their rooms and WOW we had a blast. Ill start off by saying all three rooms were incredibly immersive and probably some of the best weve ever done. Huge shoutout to Huda and Suroor for being incredible gamemasters and making our experience so great. if you ever have a chance you should definitely come here highly recommend it!

We had a great time with the murder mystery. Just scary enough, good puzzles, and not too easy or too hard. Maria was an outstanding guide and her creative and thoughtful interactions made the game more rewarding than other escape rooms we’ve done. Thank you!

Okay so this is absolutely the best escape room that I have been to. Very creepy vibe that goes with the themes! Me and my boyfriend have done all the rooms! Im just patiently waiting for new room to open up!

Full immersion experience! Between the costumes and backstory you feel like you’re there. Overall production value was top notch! Definitely one of the best escape rooms I’ve been too.

We had a blast at Komnata Quest in San Antonio- during a celebration/reunion for our dads birthday! The staff was so supportive, friendly, and adaptable to any concerns we had. They went out of the way to answer any questions and made us very comfortable with the process. I really enjoyed the theatrics of the experience and the castle escape challenge was thejust right challenge and very enjoyable for us. We laughed a lot during and after! Thanks for the great evening and fun way to celebrate our dads 82 birthday!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience. This was our first time playing a room escape game and it was great and we will definitely play another game soon. Our host was great she made us feel at ease before we played our game. I am going to recommend Komnata Quest to all my friends and co-worker and anyone else who wants to play.

My sister and I did the murder mystery, it was the perfect amount of fun, challenges, and scares. It was the first escape room for the both of us, we finished with 7 minutes to spare, definitely worth the money. You also get free pictures at the end!

We had a really fun experience!! The front desk woman was incredible at selling the setting and bring us into the story. Our guests had been to several in San Antonio and said that this was by far the best one yet. Its not just one room you escape from, its several to get to freedom, and they have multiple of settings and plots to choose from!! Were going again!!

This was our 1st time doing an escape room and it was awesome! The story line was good and the staff was friendly. I definitely recommend this place! BONUS: is that every game you play is a private game unlike others places. You dont have to worry about getting stuck with random people only the party you showed up with!

Awesome place. As soon as you walk in, the entire waiting area is painted black, and has obscure lighting. Really sets the mood for things to come. Need to use your wits to finish these puzzles and escape. Affordable price. Really feels like your being kidnapped at the beginning. Cant wait to go back and try more rooms. Omg we had THE BEST time here. Not only did we beat the clock, we beat the record! By 4 mins. We exited at 26 mins and change lol. Even the hostess was like What the heckWe had so much fun here and cant wait to return.

We’ve done two escape rooms (the 2 person one and the murder mystery) and both were fantastic! The room for the murder mystery was surprisingly large and had multiple different rooms. The puzzles were great, only a few of the puzzles involved using a key or code in a lock, which was a great change, compared to most rooms where you have too many codes and keys and not enough locks. The staff were also very friendly both times and gave good but not overly revealing hints. 11/10, looking forward to our third escape room!

Komnata charges the same flat rate per person (which is great for saving money if your group is small) and books rooms privately so you dont have to join a group of strangers. The attendant was friendly and there are lockers to store your belongings during your escape. They will ask you in the beginning if youre okay with hints, so you can choose to allow them or not.My partner and I did the St. Angelos Castle room and it was a little bit short (it only took the two of us 40 minutes to complete it even though it can hold up to six people). But they made up for this by means of immersion and the whole atmosphere. It was very dark, and the beginning part when you are led into the room while blindfolded can make you feel quite anxious and maybe a little scared.My favorite part is that many of the clues led to solutions that were more complicated than just opening locks. Other escape rooms Ive tried were just lock after lock after lock, while this one had some more inventive and out-of-the-box puzzles.Overall I had a great experience and would definitely go back again!

My friend and I had a wonderful time!! Our hostess, Katt, was wonderful and we loved the experience so much we did a second Escape after we finished. It took a little work to solve, but we definitely enjoyed ourselves and will be back soon :)

This is one of the best escape room spots in SA. Spooky sets and cool puzzles. Only knocked a start because theyre one of the most expensive, though they do offer early bird pricing.

Weve gone to and completed many escape rooms all over Tx. Komnata is our favorite by far. It really makes you feel like you are apart of the room, and the experience is beyond entertaining. We went two days in a row while vacationing in San Antonio. The staff was professional, and are very familiar with the rooms. Is was a great family experience, and we will be back for more.

After playing at every escape room in san antonio this has to be my favorite. The box is a experience like no other and I loved it. The St. One was also pretty awesome. A group of 2 can complete this is you work well together. Best part was this escape room had nothing broken! No locks that when you put the code in wont open or devices that that dont trigger at the right time. Best overall escape room in san antonio when fun and critical thinking come into play

My wife and I had so much fun in the Boxed In challenge. Our host, Suroor, was great. The challenge was fun, suspenseful, required teamwork, and was an overall success. It was our first escape room and we cant wait to come back. It was a great time.

Komnata Quest is such an amazing Escape Room Experience! It went above and beyond my expectation for an Escpae Room. My husband and I are big fans of these types of games and this company is down right amazing with both the experience and quality of each room we have completed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

Clever, creative and thematic! New to Escape rooms, Saint Angelos Castle has set the bar! Our party of 6 thoroughly enjoyed the clever construction of the rooms, the creativity of puzzles and riddles, and the the overall theme (we had to dress in monk inspired robes). An added bonus---you get a complimentary photo of your group! Youll receive hints during the escape only if you request it. Our host, Julia, was a gem. she provided detailed instructions to make the experience safe, but fun. We will definitely seek out other Komnata Escape rooms as they seem to be more elaborate and well-planned.

Great experience, the staff that was there made the experience so authentic. This was my first escape room and this was the best place to experience my first one. You can opt out for hints or not and it was great. Be ready to move and think. I will definitely be going back!

Such an amazing place! We have done all three rooms and each one of them was awesome in their own way! The lady who runs it is wonderful and helps add to the suspense and adrenaline! The only downfall is that right now there are only the 3 rooms so we can’t go back until there are more or they get changed! Otherwise, we’d always go!

We had a blast! We did the murder mystery room and it was not too easy nor too difficult. The room was also not just one room, it was a small maze that made the experience more immersive.

The games are so different than I played before. There is high tech. Most of the games that I played were about padlocks but Komnata Quest combined both padlock and high tech together. Saint Angelo’s castle game was amazing. The lady who is taking care of the game was extremely nice and she prepared us for the game with a sort of ritual which made us extremely excited. We spent one full amazing hour inside. I will definitely go for the other games.

What sets Komnata apart from others is the effort they put into immersing you in the scene. Youll be telling all your friends about it! The puzzles were unique, interesting and just the right difficulty level. Ill definitely be keeping an eye out for other Komnata locations in my travels!

We did Saint Angelos Castle and I have to say it was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was great and you feel like you have been locked in a medieval dungeon. Puzzles were challenging and fun. Unlike other escape rooms, the time your group books is with your group alone. It was challenging, fun and Maria was a wonderful host.

My friend and I did the Saint Angelos Castle and Impossible Murder Mystery rooms. Both were phenomenal. Good set designs. Good stories that feel immersive. Hardly any traditional locks. Challenging but fair and logical. Weve done a bunch of rooms and these were two of the most fun. Impossible Murder Mystery has some legitimately scary stuff. The woman that owns it was very nice, helpful, and did a great job with the story telling. Absolutely check them out, one of the best there is.

I enjoyed the theme, the puzzles werent super super challenging but did require insight. The backstory and intro was immersive and fun. Overall this was a good place for me to start being a first time escapee I think they only have 2 rooms though, we did the medieval times themed one.

The employee was helpful and kind. We did the mystery dungeon room and it was awesome. There were multiple rooms and varying puzzles with varying difficulties.Totally worth it.

Such a cool new place! We did a team builder at St Angelos Castle and it is so very well done! I promise its not scary...you may panic the first few minutes because you will have a hood slipped over your head but wait it out youll really enjoy the room! Costumes are involved which allow you to get into character and the guide is great at telling the story! I absolutely recommend visiting this place, by far one of the best escape rooms in SA.

We did the great inquisition quest first and loved it so much we came back for the murder mystery one. The inquisition was challenging and fun. Creepy in the greatest way possible. Then the murder mystery was scary! Definitely a must. It was a thriller to say the least. Loved both! Do all the quests you can! Good luck!

Great place and atmosphere. I played Boxed Up game with my friend. It was a unique experience which was worth for the time and money that we spent, so we ended up booking the Saint Angelo’s castle game for the next day. I am sure that it will be fun too.

One of the best escape rooms Ive been to. They definitely went above and beyond with the backstory and immersing you in the story. Various types of puzzles to solve and clues to figure out. Not just a bunch of locks or the same type of thing over and over. Fun and creative. Friendly staff. Highly recommend!

This was a really great experience. The staff were really fun and the puzzle was challenging without being overwhelming. My wife liked it so much that she went back the next day for a different quest. I would recommend this Escape Experience over some of the others I have done.

We had an amazing time at Komnata Quest. We are first time Escape Roomers, and we completed the Spanish Inquisition dungeon in 57 minutes! The props, puzzles, and overall setup was fantastic. Our guide was helpful and threw a hint or two whwn we got stuck, but not enough to give away the answer. We will definitely be returning!

We did the Saint Angelos Castle room. Weve done nearly every escape room in San Antonio, and this one was definitely the most immersive! The room was impressive and large, and the puzzles were extremely unique. Out of the 20+ rooms weve done, we all agree that Saint Angelos Castle is at the top. We will definitely be trying out their other rooms in the future.

Came in from out of town for my sons 14th birthday and wanted to try something new so we booked St. Angelo castle. First time visit to an escape room and we all loved it. Theme, atmosphere and props were so well thought out that we were all blown away. Will definitely do this again.

This also was my first escape room. Our friend organized the people attending. We had a diverse group with varied background to help solve the clues and make it out in time. A great time with good friends!
