Fantastic food! I had the fresh, fried catfish lunch special for seniors. ( Choice of meat, 2 sides, bread And drink for $10!!) The cornbread muffin was excellent. The whole group was very pleased with their meals. And the $2 margaritas werent half bad as well! Definitely going to go back!

The food is delicious, but never more so than at Sunday brunch where you have a fantastic brunch buffet with any southern comfort favorites. Dont forget to taste their mimosas, that come in many flavors of youre looking to venture outside the traditional orange juice and champagne. This is my go to and as long as theyre willing to keep serving, I will be returning.

I was so disappointed. I was in San Antonio to celebrate my birthday, and I planned to end my weekend visit by eating brunch at Tonys. The first time I visited Tonys, it was in this nice colorful shoping center around three years ago. I saw it advertised on a local show, and decided to check it out. The place was small, but the atmosphere was like no other. The band was playing and the customers were having a great time. The staff seemed as if they were all related. There was an array of food, BBQ chicken, fried fish, fried chicken, ham, biscuits, and so much more!! Now, November 15, it was a drab. The price is around 30.00 including your drink for brunch. The menu is very small. 80% of the food that was there on my previous visit was now gone, but the price was the same. Now you stand in line and they serve you. Its understandable, because its covid out there. Besides the limited menu items, when my daughter and I was going through the buffet line, she asked for three waffles. The waffles are the size of your palm(small). The guys asked her, are you gonna eat all of them? This is a 30 dollar buffet, if she wants three waffles, it shouldnt be an issue. There really wasnt anything there that I wanted to eat, so I got bacon and I went over to the prime rib line. Whe I asked for a piece of the prime rib, the man cut me a piece so small, (about an inch wide and an 8th of an inch thick). I asked if I could get another piece, the guy took the plate back with an attitude and gave me another small piece and was like... thank you.... really??!! Again, the food selection was limited, chicken was cold, the waffles had so much sugar in them that I couldnt eat them. For three people, we paid 93 including a tip. We probably only ate a few eggs and bacon. Save yourself the disappointment and money. Go to Golden Corral for brunch and its far better and only around 8.99 per person.

By far if not the best place Ive ever ate in San Antonio! Staff was friendly and the food was cooked to perfection! Most definitely will be coming back! Did I say the FOOD WAS SPECTACULAR ALREADY

I’ve been to this restaurant a hand full of times for Sunday Brunch. The choice of foods for their brunch buffet is outstanding . It is one price for the buffet and you are able to make as Many trips as you like. They offer eggs, waffles, bacon, sausage , plus amazing soul food. If you have a sweet tooth, they offer a variety of desserts . The mimosas are great as well. The live jazz music adds a nice touch for the ambiance. The staff is always really friendly and helpful. I think this is a great reflection of the leadership that they follow. We continue to go back because we can’t get enough. It is easily one of our top favorite places for brunch In SA.

My family and I visited for the first time. We had our food to go. We ordered the Fried pork chop, blackened catfish and shrimp, fried catfish and shrimp, and the meatloaf. All those plates came with 3 sides and a bread choice. We thoroughly enjoyed our entrees and sides( mashed potatoes, okra and tomatoes, buttered corn, cabbage, fried okra, rice). Very delicious. We really appreciated that the extra sides are put in a small containers that seal well. Everything traveled home well. We cant wait to return.

Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. Ive had nothing but great experiences here and will keep coming back. Kinda of like a cafe in Phoenix that I enjoyed.

I thought the food was good home cooking. Portions were good. I do recommend that if you are not used to lots of salt, state that you prefer less salt on your food. The blacken fish and the fried cabbage were way too salty. However my reason for going were the collard greens and cornbread. I was not disappointed. They were so delicious. I enjoyed my fried red catfish. Yummy. We had to bring food home. We dont eat that much. Waitress suggested we order the senior dish next time. That has 2 sides to your meal and is only 10.00. I will definitely go back when Im craving greens and cornbread. Free parking and outdoor patio available.

A group of us met here for lunch recently. We had a variety of dishes. The service was fantastic. Our food came out quickly and piping hot. The ambiance of the place added to the experience. Everyone loved their meals. The sides were hit or miss but we mostly liked what we had. My friends raved about the biscuits and I really liked the cornbread. I have to say that the ox tails were out of this world. Another friend and I friend had them and both absolutely loved our choices! I highly suggest you try them! We’ll definitely be going back in the near future.

Came across this searching for a brunch buffet in San Antonio. It turns out Sunday is a jazz brunch buffet so I had to come try it. Place was full but has tables available at 12 noon, we were greeted by a friendly staff member then sat at a table near the jazz musicians. It was explained to us that Sunday it is only a buffet option and informed of some featured items, Ordered some mimosas and headed to the buffet area. Overall the buffet area was very clean and stocked with food, I noticed they are fully staffed and are on top of food quality, great job on that. The perfect selections of soul food and the classic favorites. All of the staff were very respectable and friendly despite the full restaurant. Even seemed that the owner was around and mingling with guest, very welcoming environment.Food: delicious thick cut bacon perfectly cooked, classic chicken wings with a perfect cook and crisp & tasty sides. The prime rib was DELICIOUS so much flavor. My favorite was the Cajun peel and eat shrimp you could taste the freshness of those shrimp they were not frozen shrimp. They were served cold but had the perfect Cajun flavor! Nice dessert selection also.This is definitely a gem for live jazz and delicious brunch. As of 10/19 $25 per adult.“Everyday is like Sunday”

The food was amazing loved the fish and greens. But what made me love the restaurant was our server, her name was Sonny, she was so nice and efficient. She made our dinning experience worth it, definitely coming back.

Tony G has changed, ordered meat loaf and cornbread as usual. The cornbread use to be fresh, sweet and soft, yesterday it was cold, hard and just plain , the meatloaf now has canned gravy poured all over and tasted bad. Tony G if you’re reading this please go back to the old recipes.

Ate here for the 1st time today and I can say with confidence I would return. My food was a little cold but it was still edible with good flavor. Our server provided excellent service and the restrooms were clean which is definitely a plus for me. Overall my family and i enjoyed the food.

First off let me start by saying that the food variety for Sunday brunch is amazing! The staff is friendly....... The food is wonderful! The quality and quantity is amazing to say its Buffett style! The greens are immaculate to tase . I love that fact how their are so many sides they have available for the many different meats. I will always return here . The mimosas are wonderful so many different flavors to choose from. I am very proud of the owners of this establishment . I pray for nothing but blessings for this place ! I would recommend it to any and every one.

Great customer service! Food was underwhelming to say the least. Oxtails were literally a blob of fat...Inedible. The chopped steak was cooked well, but the gravy lacked seasoning. Green beans were lacking seasoning as well. Mashed potatoes were excellent.

I got breakfast delivered from here just now (since were still In These Covid Times) and I cannot say enough about how good this food is. Oh my god. The waffles tasted like a fresh-from-the-oven glazed donut. Like it even had the slightly crunchy texture of a good glaze somehow. Never had a waffle like it. The chicken paired with it PERFECTLY. And then, good lord, the grits. I got the Serious Grits, which come with a sausage, mushroom, bell pepper and onion mix to stir in, and from the first spoonful it was spectacular. Just perfect savoriness throughout. I could not have wished for a better breakfast. Three of us ate well on just these two things and I feel full and blessed.

Whether you want breakfast lunch or dinner Tony Gs is the place to go. You will not be disappointed. The food is always hot fresh and flavorful

Im interested in group economics going farther than from my pocket to the business. I want it to go from the business into the Black community too. Maybe Im asking to much

I walked into Tony Gs set down and was never approached I was totally ignored by the young ladies behind the bar so I never ordered the place was not crowded. I sat there for about a good 8 minutes and then I walked out.

This was a perfect brunch. The food was good and the live music was great!On Sunday, the only option is a brunch buffet. I was a little leery at first bit I am glad that we stayed. I had hash browns, greens, corn, mac and cheese, roast beef brisket, fried fish, loaded mashed potatoes and a corn muffin. There were other options but those are the ones I tried.The price is $22.95 for the buffet. The brunch includes dessert as well but I didnt have any because I was stuffed. I would definitely recommend!

They have really good food and the prices are very reasonable. Their sweet tea is great too... its hard for me to find many places that have true sweet tea. I really like this restaurant. First time visiting I wanted Grits and Shrimp they didnt have it order fish with stuff crawfish, greens yams but the yams were too sweet and the fish was too salty. I went in we sat down didnt have a good experience the waiter give us plastic utensils no condiments Cool hard bread we order the frycatfish and shrimp they give you about 4 1/2 oz of fish with 3 microwave shrimps the corn tasted like it was straight out of the can ,candy yam had the can taste as well the fried cabbage blench in water horrible,then they got the nerve enough to charge you $16 +dollars for 6 plate pure garbage. I advise anyone who read this please dont go there the food is horrible.

I stopped by here with my husband on our lunch break. We were both able to get our food and enjoy it within our allotted break time. Great portion size; food was well seasoned. The collard greens were perfect. The only thing not up to my liking were the mashed potatoes. They were pretty runny and the Mac n cheese tasted just like box velveeta which isn’t bad but I expected homemade. The cornbread was excellent. Our waitress was great but I can’t remember her name. She was prompt with refills and bringing out our food and taking payment. The atmosphere there was great. Everything was clean and organized. The location is not too far from my job so I look forward to stopping in more often.

Came on Sunday 8/2/20 food was horrible food sitting in buffet areas uncovered during a pandimic smh guy working in buffet line with the GB Packers mask literally dropped his ear pod in the fish tray took it out and laughed about it like it was nothing i was the only customer around to see still had the same fish ready to serve I had to tell him to change it myself just so nobody else would eat the contaminated fish shm food was just bad period I will never be back

No instant grits here! Outstanding brunch with a nice mix of traditional soul food goodies like collards, grits, and chicken n waffles along with standards like eggs, bacon, and biscuits. A live band makes an appearance before 11, and there are mimosas for the thirsty. Definitely worth your time, your dime, and the drive into downtown before noon.
