A great venue with plenty of seating room and an amazing interior. Came here for the first time in May to see I Prevail and was not disappointed. There’s plenty of standing room on ground level, but if it gets too crowded or you’re looking for a place to just chill and enjoy the music, grabbing a seat up top is a good idea. There’s plenty of places to sit, but I suggest sitting up front for a good, unobstructed view of the show.

Had a great time here seeing Metric & Zoe! It is a LiveNation venue, so beware of the ticket fees (which are a bummer), but the venue itself is decently laid out and seemed to be well kept. Drink prices are about what youd expect from this type of venue, but the staff was polite. Overall great experience, look forward to seeing more shows here.

Came to the Aztec to see Chevelle show was great! Cost for stuff was basically avg (cost us 12 bucks for 2 sodas & a bag of M&Ms). The seating was good location wise but I do advise if your a tall person your gonna have a tight squeeze if your sitting on the balcony(not sure if seating is different in other sections). Overall it was a great experience sound was excellent & friendly staff. Not to mention the design of the interior was amazing!

A really awesome theatre built in the 1920s and wonderfully preserved. When you go, do yourself a favor and step out of the show for a minute to explore the place. The architecture and decor in this theatre sets it apart from newer venues around town. Seriously, take your time and look all around the place - youll find so many interesting things. Its a good venue for live music events and the occasional movie screening. Great sound, and not a bad seat in the house. For movies, they dont seem to make the balcony dark enough, so the light can be distracting - the screen could also stand to be larger for such a large venue.Convenient city parking lot just a couple of blocks away and a couple of parking garages nearby. And I almost forgot to mention this - the mens room has a lounge area with a couch and everything! Thats something you just dont see every day.Draft domestic beer is $12 friggin dollars though!!!

This venue is awesome. The Aztec decor is interesting and adds a lot to the theatre. The sun above the stage is especially cool. Its a mid sized theatre that can hold a lot of people, but even at the very back of the standing only general admission area I still felt like I was close to the band and could see everything. The staff was friendly and helpful to first timers. They have a parking garage right next to it which is appreciated. There is a concession stand inside with drinks and food. They had a merch counter too for shirts and stuff. A small smoking patio is somewhat tough to find, but the staff will help you if you ask. Great place to see a band.

First visit ever and the experience was off the hook! (People still say that, right?) From the plush velvety carpet, to the faux Aztec sculptures... I felt transported from the River Walk to the Yucatan Peninsula! Then they show started and I was off on another trip... Wink-wink! Cant wait to go back!!! Excellent staff, even security made my visit more pleasant they werent encroaching on the crowd, opting to a more vigilant approaching as opposed to a more hands on one?

Loved the venue. It is smaller, so your definitely closer to the stage. So leave your binoculars at home. We ended up going to the theater and paying for upgrades way less than if we would have bought online. The venue itself kind of reminded me of a Las Vegas themed Casino.Only downfall for ladies, they dont have enough restrooms. They had enough bars on each level that you never had to wait in line for a long time pier prices are ridiculous but thats normal at any concert. If you want a good view and have a seat definitely get the tickets in the Mezze.

The Aztec Theatre is a wonderful venue, they always have a custom drink based on the show and plenty of merch and booths. The seating feels really limited and the space is small but works. Performance was awesome! However I dont believe this venue should host big name bands that could sell out the place as far as rock/metal music goes. Thats just my person opinion as a lot of people want to get rowdy and push towards the front. Had a friend who suddenly could breathe and had to leave early. I know there are certain precautions that might not be ideal for A/C but man it was hot. Thanks for the experience though! Everyone was really nice!

The Aztec is cool. What I like about it is that it is small and intimate. Im not sure what the seating capacity is, but it cant be many. The acoustics were decent, the show was good. I will say, though... the seats we purchased online were NOT what we ended up actually getting. When purchasing, we picked seats along the mezzanine balcony (in the very front) but somehow got seated in row D, 4 rows back, and were told A-C were reserved. We were told by staff we could buy upgraded tickets. Which is definetly not what it showed online when making the transaction. After talking to a couple other people sitting around us, they were in the same boat. Not cool considering these were $200 (a piece) tickets that were advertised in a misleading way. Drinks were also a little on the high end, but you expect that out of a place like this. All in all, a decent spot. No real bells or whistles, but a small venue with some kind of cool ambiance.

Went this weekend for Queensryche concert. Bought the VIP package w table, access to get in early etc...ended up sitting right next to the sound board which was perfect. Waitress only came to the table once so we walked to the Warrior room. Warrior room No waiting for the bathroom or drinks. Down side to the Warrior room no one there and no music playing. I expected more of a VIP vibe but was very disappointed. Now time for concert we sit then find out people can stand in front of us TALL people! Then I had a drunk guy staring at me the whole time. I bought him some water and I escorted him to another area where he could sit. Wasn’t my problem but.....made it mine. Again no waitress. For what I paid I didn’t feel the VIP experience at all. I should have seen them in my hometown of Houston where I know I would have received a better experience or waited to see them in Vegas.I had a better time at the t-shirt table.

The two negatives that I have, which may not come as a big surprise, are: 1) drink prices were comedically high...a single bottle of water cost just a little bit more than a 40 pack from Wal-Mart, and 2) the amount of leg room in the seats was akin to sitting economy class in an airplane.Still had an amazing night though!

The Aztec is a visually impressive venue; however, attendees would be well advised to know that the place is run in a manner similar to that of a timeshare condo. Want to have a good seat? Prepare to pay a severe price for an upgrade. Also, beware that, if you choose not to upgrade seats, they are not assigned and the very instant you leave - even to grab another food or beverage selection while a friend or family member stays there - your seat is up for grabs. Like the song says, glittering prizes and endless compromises shatter the illusion of integrity. At the Aztec, its all about the $.

The Aztec Theater seating is very personable, so there are no bad seats. If you are performers and love to be close to your audience or vice a versa well this is the perfect place. Its historic architecture details warm and gives off unique cozy and quaint vibe that is inviting. Within this wonderful setting the live acoustics are distinct to the listening pleasure. I highly recommend this place and if it was available I would buy it. These type of settings are timeless, but rare with the changing times. Just the setting alone leaves you with an impression that you had a good time and that you attended an event that was not only personable, but special.

Intimate venue for a theater, so why 1 star? Ticket shows 7 pm but actually that was doors open time (not shown on the ticket.) While waiting in line employees come around and offer early access for $30 more per person. Give me a break, show on the ticket that doors open at 7 show starts at 8. In my opinion, just a way to try and fleece you for more money as they were prepared with iPads to charge your credit card to get in early. While the show was great, sound was great as well as the sight lines, I will never go to another show at the Aztec. Once I find who owns and operates the venue, I am done with visiting any of their properties. Service from ushers leaves much to be desired in their helping you find your seat.

This was my first time at this venue and it was awesome! We parked on the outskirts of downtown and took an uber ride there which I strongly suggest doing because it can turn into a bit of a madhouse down there. Its not an overly large place so the show felt very intimate and you even have a great view from the General Admission seating up at the top. We saw Badfish (Sublime Tribute Band) and they nailed it! Giving 3 stars because I was disappointed that I paid $208.90 after taxes and fees for seats I wasnt told would have an obstructed view due to the higher safety rails at the bottom of the aisles. Wish the ticketing website would mention that as I would’ve chosen different seats. If you get the mezzanine, I do not recommend sitting in the aisle seats 15 & 16 (or the equivalent seats on the opposite side of the mezzanine). I was row D. Other than that, things went as expected.

This was a NO RE-ENTRY event, so that means I was potentially stuck in that loud poorly mixed front band line-up for 3.5 hours. Only one front band was ticketed for the event. Historically, Doors @ means one hour before front band, two before main act. Unbridled greed, stupid staff, overall waste of time and money. Corporate live music sucks.
