This is a must visit theater when visiting the San Antonio area. Broadway Productions are played here. This is a very nostalgic time area Event Center, purchase your tickets in advance and find nearby parking also. Theater seating is in the entire building so plan accordingly for those needing access to the many stairs that are found in this location.

This place is beautiful! Everyone was very helpful in directing foot traffic. My only complaint is that the womens bathroom was small. I was late returning to my seat during intermission due to standing in line so long! So more stalls would make a big difference.

Such a beautiful theatre and classic from the late 1800s if Im not mistaken. But they have the original elevators from back in the day, fully operational and one of the only plsces in the nation that do! Fun fact! This is my favorite places to see any show! Thats how beautiful it is.... Decorated to the max! Cute peacocks up at the top, pretty statues, etc. Its just gorgeous, lots of older folk working here, that are super cool!

A hidden gem of a theater in San Antonio! After making it through the metal detectors, the place is a starry wonderland with lots of colors and artwork to admire. Enjoy a quick snack or beverage or if your lucky, a seat at the Starlight Lounge to look down on Houston St. To take in the crowds. Don’t forget to find the beautiful white peacock inside! My only complaint is the cold temps inside and the massive exiting of crowds once the show is over. But they have great traffic control outside with police officers.

Ive always loved this magical theater. Its still the same beautiful place with the sky full of stars on the ceiling ️.I used to go with my mom and dad when my dad would get tickets passed on to him where he worked (at the Express News). The person who originally got the tickets didnt have kids so he wasnt interested in seeing Annie, Peter Pan, and other musicals he didnt have time to see.I recently returned with my husband and teens/tweens to see Hamilton. It was a huge splurge but very worth it. I loved sharing the beauty of this San Antonio landmark with my kids. If you find yourself wanting to share something new with your family, try a night at the Majestic!

We went to see Hamilton. It was a wonderful experience! Beautiful interior reminiscent of old San Antonio. The staff is very responsive to a myriad of situations, i.e. crowd and line control and giving directions. And of course Hamilton was FABULOUS! Even the food service at the seats was great; MUCH FASTER than we thought it would be considering the huge crowd. Im sure we will be back again and again!

LOVE this place ! What a great theater. Always clean and always a blast to come see a show at the Majestic. Believe them when they tell you that almost all the seats are good seats. There’s only a few that have visual impediments like beams , but they’re clearly marked on the theater’s website. They have a nice variety of shows. From Broadway shows to musical variety shows to family and kid-friendly performances... you can’t go wrong. My biggest complaint is the $$$ drinks and snacks. Obviously, this is one place where they gut you; $10-15 for a small trail mix ???? The only other gripe is the LONG lines for the bathroom during intermission, but they do move quickly.

I have been to the majestic. Years ago (before the remodel) to see RENT.Last night we went to see Celtic woman. The performance was nothing short of amazing! The acoustics were phenomenal and the remodel REALLY impressed me.There is massive attention to detail. A huge peacock, birds flying, stars in the ceiling and clouds that move.Next time I plan to stay in the mezzanine. We really enjoyed ourselves. The drinks I will say are a bit high, but its not out of the ordinary for such a place. Thanks for a great night majestic!

So Ive seen several shows recently from tickets I got from work. This included valet parking. The staff here are ALWAYS humble and very interested in speaking to the public whether its a hello or parking or returning your car, youre buying a drink (by the way, the drinks are fabulous) or they are working the elevator. Very cordial and polite. The theater is always clean as well as the bathrooms. Seating is always comfortable and since I have corporate seating, the waitress is always attentive in the rare occasion I need something. Ive never had a negative experience here. I recommend this venue when you see an event being done here. Youll be comfortable and almost feel like youre at home.

Cant say enough good about this place. I have been here about 4 times for various plays and musicals. This place is a great local theater. The old school elevators with the operator is perfect. I have had a bad seat in this theater. I think this place should be a landmark if it isnt already. There are multiple places to eat within 3 walking blocks and two directly across the street. This is a great place for a date night. Support your local business I love it here.

Ive been here so many times! Ive seen George Lopez, Martin Lawrence, Wu-Tang Clan, Nick Swardson, and recently Jo Koy. I cant remember who else but this theater is beautiful. It really should be featured in a special or a star should shoot a special here. Its an amazing theater. The more we go the more we see theyve added for customers to make it more convenient and comfortable. When we buy tickets to a show and its at the Majestic were very happy because it adds to the great experience.

Love this place! Today was my 3rd time here for thr musical Phantom of the Opera and it was breathtaking from the murals to the singing. Everything works seamlessly together for a great experience. For parking you can park just a block down from the theatre at Rand Garage on Soladad street but I would advise to purchase the parking ticket beforehand as I was parked for 4 hours and was charged $16.50 with tax for that time. Through park whiz it would have only been $11 for an even longer time to be able to park. Recommend doing the second option instead.Majestic theater is the place to visit whether you are a native San Antonio or a tourist!

It was our first time visiting the majestic. We live in Austin so it was a fun day trip to see the theater and Wicked. We sat in the suite section to the left side and had a good view and could hear pretty clearly. I know some people said they couldnt hear well but we didnt have that issue. The suite seats are comfortable and spacious. I like that this level had its own bar and restrooms! Its a beautiful building with great architecture inside. There is a parking garage located behind the building you can park. There are servers that take your order and deliver to you while you are seated in your seat. It was a magical experience seeing and hearing the San Antonio Orchestra play. Great play theater in the heart of downtown on Houston St. All seats give you a good view of the stage but the higher you are of course, harder to see details! Broadway touring shows and celebrity acts come to please all your likes in entertainment. If you want to see something and you will be visiting the area I suggest you look up online for what is playing (there are other Theaters also) and book well in advance. Tickets go quick especially for the more sought after seats. We booked 3 weeks ahead and still got mezzanine but on the end. Still saw the stage just fine.

A very neat, older venue right in the heart of San Antonio. Easy to get to with plenty of parking nearby. There is quite a bit of street construction going on nearby, so be careful of that while navigating downtown. We saw the Wu-Tang perform here and it was an amazing show. Our seats were in the lower mezzanine and we had great sightlines of the entire stage. The seats and rows were clearly designed for maximizing the number of viewers, not for comfort. Im of average height and my knees rubbed the seat in front of me. We ended up standing for the show, for full enjoyment and participation, but for a more relaxed show it could present some issues.Drink prices were ridiculously overpriced. $12 for a 16oz beer is crazy. But, then again, we werent there to get bombed, so I could justify buying one or two refreshments to enjoy during the show.Overall, a solid venue that I would consider visiting again for the right artist. Oh, and dont forget your earplugs! Youll be happy you took them after the show.

I have seen many musicals and concerts in this venue. The stage is one of the most intricately beautiful things Ive seen. Most performing arts venues Ive been to are more modern but very utilitarian. Not so the Majestic. Elegantly ornate. Brings you back to a time when people dress up for an evening of the-yay-ter. Ushers are very courteous and funny too. You can tell they love working there. Concession stand has wine, beer, cocktails and snacks at very reasonable prices. That being said, seats are a tad narrow, orchestra seating is not stadium style so woe to you if someone just even slightly tall sits in front of you. Restrooms are clean and serviceable but not enough stalls to accommodate everyone during short intermissions. Small inconveniences which can be still be overlooked by most.

The Majestic Theater brings in everything from concerts to Broadway plays. The facility itself is kept clean which is nice, there is only one bathroom on the first floor, and one bathroom on the second floor. Which means for the thousand people that are in there, theres quite a line. Ushers are usually standing by to help people and show them where to go. The bathroom lines are organized thankfully. Seating itself can be rather crowded, if youre a bigger person it will be uncomfortable as the arms are stationary and always down. The building itself is beautiful, the inside is breathtaking. If you ever have any doubts about coming here, at least do it once. Would recommend to anybody, anytime.
