It has been at least a year and a half since I’ve been in this area! COVID-19 really did change my whereabouts; however, I made time to walk the Tower of Americas and area. Not many people so the timing was great! Masks were definitely used. The weather was beautiful and just an absolute perfect day to take pictures with my macro lens!

The place has awesome view of the city. There are two decks one is the inner deck and then the outer deck. Inner deck is fully enclosed but the outer deck is not fully enclosed so the winds will hit you so wear a jacket or something. They have 4d & 3d shows running these are like short 10 min movies so dont forget to attend. They have the usual other attractions like game centers and gift shops. But do attend during dusk time so that you can view the sunset, city during daytime and then the best part is seeing the city lights.

The fountains surrounding the tower cool the area and fill the garden with relaxing white noise that takes you away from the bus of the city. The make beautiful photo spots. The tower restaurant is a fun experience. The sunset is stunning, the service is attentive and efficient. Its a Landrys establishment so the food is somewhat above average and the prices are high. Its definitely worth a special night out.

I dont know how they get reservations, cant get them to answer the phone or return messages. That right there is enough of a turn off to want to even bother going. Its all about customer service and creating a memorable experience. Starting off like that i cant imagine what the rest wouldve been like. We got some good bonuses and wanted to go there to celebrate. There was 10 of us wouldve been a good amount spent esp in liquor as a few really like to indulge. Well as many times as this place changes owners or occupants. Well wait til someone comes in with skills.

Love the view and the experience! Food was good, but not worth the $180, plus $30 tip (service was good), and $15 parking. If youre going out on a date and want to impress, then this place is good. A family dinner, not so much. Other than that, the restaurant and the staff are REALLY nice and welcoming. The theater is a nice little place to visit after dinner. The outside of the building is clean and the water fountains around make it extra relaxing.

The Tower of the Americas was such a great experience and the best place to be in San Antonio during sunset. You can watch the city skyline turn orange, then watch them light up afterwards when it gets dark. Not too much you can do upstairs, but it is definitely worth the view. We came from the Riverwalk, which was also a peaceful stroll before going up the tower. They only use one elevator, so recommend you arrive at least 30 minutes early. The 4D short film “Rio” was quite random though...

My wife and I enjoyed our 15th year anniversary here. I will say I was very skeptical about the food and prices but for our anniversary it was nice. The amount of food for the price was skimpy but the waitress, servers and staff we interacted with were friendly attentive to our needs and overall very good. I would recommend to visit for the view alone. If you are going for a special occasion I recommend going when the sun setting for the view because its priceless.....!

This is a great spot to take kids. Its a great spot for anyone really. Theres a lot of history at this building. since social distancing guidelines are in place it will take you quite a while to get to the observation deck. It will take you twice as long to get to the restaurant. Currently there are only six people allowed in the elevator. please plan accordingly and have a great time. I highly recommend seeing this city gem.

Don’t waste your money dining here. If you want the view, go to the observation deck. We sat at the bar/lounge. I ordered a margarita and it tasted like flat ranch water. Absolutely no flavor. I sent it back and ordered a Manhattan - how could a bartender mess that up? They brought it in a martini glass... strange. Tasted decent but it was $17 a drink! Then the appetizer, spinach and artichoke dip, tasted like they didn’t drain the water out of the spinach and it was watery. It was so bland and had zero flavor! Then we ordered the Callahan cut prime rib. 18 ounces. Great cut of a steak and super tender but ZERO flavor. I don’t think they even put salt on it. They still charged me for the margarita even though I sent it back. I had to get it taken off. For $140 meal, I was expecting so much more. Oh did I mention, the wild life exhibit? There was a BAT flying inside the dining area. Quite entertaining watching it do laps around the restaurant and flying directly over us making us duck for cover. We will not be returning.

The service was ok our waiter was very attentive. However, we go for the food dont we? I ordered the king crab. Its about a 60 dollar plate. 56 bucks to be exact.. I got a baked potato with it. The king crab was sub par. It was very small for king crab. Do not expect any seasoning. I could have made for a better presentation in my own kitchen. My husband got the steak it was verrry salty. Thank god for the good service and view cause thats what your paying for I guess.

The view is great, but we were not very pleased with one of the employees. Specifically bought wrist bands to view the sunset, however, we waited a very long time in line for the elevators and missed it! Come to find out the elevator opens on both sides, but the elevator operater was only opening one side. We finally got in line for the other door of the SAME elevator and were able to get on. After telling the operator we were upset we missed the sunset, he claimed that we must have turned out back on the elevator doors and didnt see them open! My advice is go over 30 minutes before the sunset or you will miss it.

For sure this is one of the most beautiful and iconic places to visit in San Antonio. On the website you can find all the information about the place and the amenities offered here. I think the best hour to go up there is between 7-8pm because you can enjoy the views during daylight and at night, both views are stunning, on the top of the tower winds are usually very strong. At the base of the tower there is a beautiful garden with fountains and waterfalls which is very nice and enjoyable. The restaurant located on the top is rotating so you will be able to enjoy the views of the city from all the possible angles. Really nice place. I loved it. 5/5 ️️️️️

Went there to celebrate my birthday, reserved the table in advance. When we came over, they walked us to the table I didn’t like, I wanted to be by the window, they made out of it a big deal. Why they didn’t ask me where I want to be seated when I reserved? Service is very poor, my water glass was empty for a while, when they brought food and put it on out table, it slided down on my husband’s white pants, but the waiter just left without saying anything. Mess. Restaurant is rotation around and I got to see lots of dust around. And it’s during Corona time. They need to do better cleaning. Happy hour wasn’t available at the restaurant, you had to go upstairs to order it or something... but it is on their menu and online. Quality of food is ok, maybe 3 stars, but not fine dining at all

Id pick zero stars if I could. Our family plus at least 30 other people got stuck up on the observation deck because no one ever came up on the elevator to get us. The button was pushed numerous times but no response. Theres no working phone number to reach anyone, theres no email to reach anyone. Very poor customer service, and horrible if there was a medical emergency. Luckily the one pregnant lady was okay. You also need to figure out your social media/website information. Lady at the front, ticket booth, said you havent had someone update your website since , COVID, which is very unprofessional, and not very businesslike for a business such as big as this. Id really like to hear back from someone able to tell me what steps are being taken to make this a better experience for others. Youve got people coming from all over the state, country, and World to see this, and youre not having a very good showing this weekend.

San Antonio - it was a pleasure to see you from the top of the towers. The tower of America’s was of course, a show stopper and a necessary attraction if visiting San Antonio. This attraction doesn’t take a lot of time to do, so don’t plan to be there for hours. It’s definitely a quick, easy elevator ride up to the top. Unless you decide to eat at the restaurant (we didn’t venture in). The movie was okay but more geared to kids. The bathrooms were extremely clean. The snack bar/ coffee bar was overpriced. If I could give this place zero stars I would. This is the second time we have been here and both times have been disastrous. The first experience included a lost reservation and a failed attempt at a steak dinner once we proved we had a reservation. By the way this was our anniversary back in December. This experience included a lost vip slot which was suppose to include a desert and menus celebrating my husbands birthday. The dinner included no drinks for the kids for over and hour and steaks that comprised of 90% RAW fat. It was inedible and just plain gross. This was there 46 dollar herb crusted prime rib. Service was terrible and the manager stated they do not accommodate anything special for vip’s even though this is an add on. The only thing going for the place was the view which is absolutely amazing ! I would recommend going during happy hour and sitting at the bar there are cheaper drinks and apps. If you sit downstairs they do not honor the happy hour specials. Between parking cost and the food cost this is not a family friendly place and the food is not worth it !
