Enjoyed the walk way. Saw different plants and trees, beautiful fountain and two swans swimming in the pond with koi fish with ducks, very neat. Then a path running along the Rock River. There was a bride and groom having pictures taken... such a lovely spot for that. All ages will enjoy.

It was a beautiful day. I love taking photos of my daughter and granddaughter her. I got some great photos of my daughter for her 16th photo. She recently turned 16. Our granddaughter however had different plans. The rose garden, almost all bloomed over, was full of bugs. We did manage to get some beautiful pics in the lawn on the hill.

A must visit in Rockford. The Park District truly is the gem of this city and this conservatory and rose garden are top notch.I strongly recommend a visit to one of their many family friendly events or just to visit and take in the natural essence of mother earth.

The conservatory is quite small, but plenty to look at inside. Went midday during the week, and was the only one there for about an hour. The gardens outside extend pretty far along the river. Roses had already bloomed and gone, but you can tell theres a huge variety and they must look amazing earlier in the year. Ill be making the trip back next year to see them. Lots of ducks and even two huge swans in the pond. Please dont feed them bread, its not healthy for them. They have small bags of food for them you can use.

This is a beautiful place to stop, rest and relax! Many many varieties of trees and plants to look at. Super nice pond with a fountain that lights up at night. Little creeks running into the pond. Several small waterfalls that are lovely! Large goldfish swimming around with ducks and even a pair of swans. Frogs sitting around... so much to look at. And all of this is on the outside of the conservatory! The conservatory building was closed but you could look in windows at all the amazing tropical plants. Benches all around to sit and relax on. Statues to look at. A great place that I just love stopping at. You should make a point to stop if you can!

Beautiful! This is a great place to visit in the winter. The temperature inside was about 65 degrees when I visited. The orchids were beautiful and offered lots of color. There are multiple types of palms which makes the room feel tropical. Price was $8 for adults they do offer half price Tuesdays!

Very cool place to visit if you are a plant lover. Filled with orchids, palm trees and other tropical plants. It is rather small, so not a ton of walking to do, but it is filled with benches to sit on among the plants. They have a great outdoor space as well, in the warmer months filled with beautiful seasonal flowers, and gorgeous Christmas light display in the winter.

Although it is a great place to visit throughout the year I think my favorite time to visit would be in early February. It is a nice balmy temperature and makes me forget that we are still in winter even just for a few hours. Regardless of what time of year you decide to visit you will not be disappointed. If you do come in the cooler months just make sure to have a tee shirt available as you don’t want to overheat. Enjoy your relaxing visit!

The highlight of the visit was absolutely the corpse flower. So glad I got to see one in person. I couldnt believe how fast it grows. Staff was extremely knowledgeable and happily answered all of our questions. Even offered to help us take pictures with the plant. Would recommend for anyone in the area looking for something to do for 45 min to an hour. Cant wait to see when the corpse flower blooms soon!

Beautiful grounds, especially when the roses are in bloom. You can walk around the outside gardens for free or pay a small fee to go inside the massive greenhouse. Definitely worth it, inside the greenhouse is amazing and they have different displays periodically. Plus a way to support the local community. Many people have their weddings here.

Visited this conservatory while in town visiting friends. Its a super cute little place and the way they light it up at night in the winter is pretty great. Its not super big but its a nice way to spend an hour. When all of the palms grow in fully it will be a really great place.Would come back in the future if I got the chance too.
