Very peaceful all the family enjoy even my dog places to make picnic and bathrooms. I think if they put more picnic tables and bathrooms is gonna be better...

Paved trail with lots to explore. We took our kids who are 5 and 8 and it wasnt too difficult for them to ride their bikes. Very well maintained.

This lovely park is bordered by the Kishwaukee River. Its quiet and peaceful with options to walk on thw bile path that will take you to Blackhawk Springs or up through the actual park.

We use the West entrance as a takeout point. A convenient place to put in and take out canoes, kayaks, and tubes, but you will have to deal with either a steep bank in one part or a muddy bank in the other. If youre ok with that, then this place is a super convenient spot on the river.

Superb place for picnic or outing. Shed, grill, outdoor table chairs and that river side make the place perfect.

Great park to fish from the open banks. Decent smallies and rock bass in the river.

Tubing to Atwood Park from this location is so much fun! Entry & exit sites were really easy too!

Great place to view the Kishwaukee river and local wild life. Kayak and canoe landing is close to the parking lot.

Kishwaukee River is severely flooded but the park is still accessible. Park was reasonably clean with little litter. There are barrels provided throughout the park for waste as well as plenty of picnic tables and grills throughout the park.

Wonderful place to dot and watch the river or go for a hike. Very peaceful.

This is a Great place to Walk the Dogs, Ride your Bikes. The Trails are paved and it isnt Buggy at all. This is the first Trail in the area this year that we didnt get eaten Alive by mosquitoes. Its very well kept and quiet. There is also Access to the Beautiful Kishwaukee River for tubing, kayaking and fishing. Hope everyone enjoys this trail s much as we do.

This is a fun place to go to. It is the woods and it gives one the opportunity of being out in nature without having to travel far. There is a small river where people like to fish, kayak, and sometimes swim weather permitting. Having a bar-b-que is also a very popular activity.

It was very hot and humid out so the forest preserve was nice and cool. Quite a few people were tubing down the river to stay cool. Id visit it again someday.

Wanna have some fun on land and in water?! Go to kishwaukee river, and bring rafts or canoes! Dont forget ther drinks and food!

Kishwaukee River its a wonderful place to canoe. Stoped at Kishwaukee River Forest Preserve for lunch. Steve Larson the canoe guy is a great guy to rent canoes from. Look him up on the internet. He can do a to 2 for four-hour canoe trip for you and drop you off You can also camp on his property. This is especially pretty in the fall. Tell him the canoe man sent you.

Great place for picnics, gatherings. Bike path that connects to Blackhawk springs forest preserve.

Love the nature and that its got the river flowing through

East side of park has a steep drive in with multiple shelters a clif and some old concrete stairs. Much calmer than the west side. More traffic do to the pull out of the tubers and kayakers.

I went to the east side of the park and walked through. You cant even see the river. The park district does a lousy job of maintenance. They let the brush grow in from the road to the river.
