Very beautiful place. Stunning design everywhere inside. So much history in it. Always enjoy coming here for performances. I wish they would have more choice and shows would be happening more often! The seating is a little tight. But you cant expect much of a leg room and a cup holders in a 100 year old theater.

The Coronado Performing Arts Center built in the 1920s is a wonderful venue for live music. Youre close to the stage and the artists can connect to the audience. Great acoustics and a great performance by Mike Love and the current Beach Boys band.

Delightful little venue in the heart of Rockford. Perfect for a play, musical, or stand-up routine. When you walk into this place you’re immediately struck with how ornate everything is on the inside. It has the old-timey feel to it, like you’ve gone back to the roaring twenties. The seats were comfortable and the staff was kind enough to ask practical questions around things like coat check, restroom facilities, and seat placement. The acoustics within the theater carried very well which made for a really fun environment throughout the entire evening.Looking forward to seeing another show here at this location soon!

This is a beautiful and ornate theatre. Even the actors were taking pictures!! It is a beautiful theatre with a European flare. The seats are small but comfortable. I have never had a bad seat and have been to the Coronado several times. I prefer the lower balcony 3 (LB3).

This architectural jewel in downtown Rockford was meticulously restored a number of years ago. It is the home to the Rockford Symphony Orchestra and other performing groups. If you have a chance to visit to see any of the shows or concerts, please do not hesitate! Its true that the seats have less leg room the higher you sit, but sitting anywhere gives audience members a chance to see exquisite period details! Theres a parking structure across the street for easy access. I dont think youll be disappointed!

As always the Coronado didnt disappoint.. Beautiful theater thats been well maintained over the years hosting a wonderful event. Ive been coming to this theater now for over 40 years... Starting with watching movies as a kid and journeying over time through the numerous owners (Kerasotes, Plitt...etc.) all culminating to the shows that are put on today. Lewis Black was terrific as always.. his satirical rants about todays society and the people who govern over us had us all in stitches.

This was my first time to the Coronado. The venue was easy to get to from Wisconsin. Had no problem getting through security with ease for Scotty McCreery. Easy in parking but took a bit too get out. Cocktails were too small for the price. Seats were comfortable. Bathroom was big but on the lower level. Overall it was a nice place. I would come back.

We saw Ailey II tonight and were blown away! Besides the performance being so outstanding, the venue was equally impressive. The Coronado is truly the crown jewel of Rockford. I marvel at the majestic beauty inside of the building. The grandeur of the architecture and the ornate fixtures is truly breathtaking! If you have not experienced this for yourself please do it at your earliest opportunity. You will not be disappointed!!

The City of Rockford Illinois has a lot to be proud of with this building. Rockford citizens hold your head high.Interior of this building is just unbelievably beautiful. An understatement. My only regret is that I didnt bring my SLR Canon camera to get good quality pictures of this place.I came from 3 hours north of here and if it wasnt for the show it was the art deco of the Interior that made our visit all that and then some.Talking to some of the locals which exuded pride. They told me the building was originally built in 1927. And completely renovated just a couple of years ago at a price of around 17 million. A local bank was the biggest donor and it took donors see this through. Now the show I came to see was Yamato drummers. It was a treat both me and my other half really enjoyed. The only thing obscuring a beautiful perfect evening. While there for the show and a stay at the hotel we received a blizzard of about 8 to 10 in of snow.Heck actually when I think more about it, that was just the icing on the cake

They have restored the Coronado to its 1920s glory. I graduated in this theater, and when I was a child I watched movies here. It was always a magical experience...but it is even nicer now. They dont show movies here anymore. This is a fine venue for concerts and the performing arts. We saw the Rockfird Symphony Orchestra and they were wonderful! The acoustics are perfect now. The theater is so pretty, the ceilings all repainted, the gilded parts sparkling, the chandlers intricate and impressive. A nice reward for finally visiting the old home town.

Saw a sold out show here. The theater is very nice. Sound was good. Staff was good. Its an old place so the seats are small and tight.Getting in and out of the place was an absolute nightmare. The show had to start 45 minutes late because the parking situation is so bad. Had to sit in the garage for 45 minutes due to the terrible traffic control. Concession stand does not take credit cards and was outrageously slow.
