4 out of 5 stars only because the bathrooms are not as clean as they usually are, otherwise I would definitely give 5 stars because this is an amazing Park and see their family and kid oriented. I always enjoy coming here early in the morning because its peaceful, calm, not busy and just plain relaxing. This is a great Park to bring your kids turn around have fun or even just to bring you and your loved one to sit and relax got. And its even enjoyable to come alone just for some peace and quiet for some peace of mind. Thank you Hobby Hunter Park crew! This is by far my favorite Park in Riverside, as to date.
This is one of the Parks and Recreation gems here in Riverside, it is really an amazing place for some R & R with family, taking kids to the playground, play sports, walking, running, skating and any wholesome fun but what I love the most here is the little choochoo train rides and looking at the happy kids faces full with wonder...
Great park with lots of room to walk. The playground is updated for the kiddos. Unfortunately, there are a lot of folks living in their cars at the moment. However, they mind their business and dont bother anyone.
? Nice Sports Park theres kind of a lot of people there but they seem to keep to themselves really nice I think everyone would enjoy it there especially if you play baseball or basketball I just like to jog its a real great place to go
Looks like a nice clean park. We stopped here during COVID-19 to have a picnic in our car. There were lots of people there playing sports. We were here at lunchtime and the sprinklers are on so you can’t sit down on the grass. Bathrooms are available but I’m not sure if they were open. They seem to have quite a homeless problem at this park we saw many walk by as we picnicked in our car.
Nice open park setting with paths for walking or jogging. Has baseball fields set up and public restrooms. There’s also a basketball court. Plenty of grass area for use but not a surface that’s maintained well enough or intended for soccer, although I’ve seen pick up games there. There tends to be a lot of homeless people staying in their cars in the parking lot.
Hunter Park is a huge park and easy to navigate. There is more than one bathroom conviently located handicapped accessible. The parking lot is appropriately sized and in good view of the park. there are multiple baseball fields and a track around the park for walking. Theres also a small train that runs on holidays and for special occasions. Very clean. Five stars
Peaceful and fun to bring your kids. The restrooms of course are closed but there is a grocery store(Stater Bros) around the corner.
I love Hunter. Its spacious. Its safe. Theres a lot to do.
I take my grandkids there they love it
Close to home ,and my fur babies love it , but now i see kids onsmall motorcycles getting in the way scareing my dogs
I like this park a lot cuz its got the choo choo train tree
Nice Park its kinda far away. But i visit a friend there meet at the park, it was really nice!
Hunter hobby Park is a most amazing Park in Riverside beautiful quiet you got the trains running twice a month everybody rides free nice shade trees beautiful beautiful baseball diamond soccer field picnic areas playground what more can I say most amazing Park in Riverside
I enjoy going here for my daily jogs. There is usually a good amount of people here in the evenings which makes me feel safer knowing Im not alone. This lark has long walking tracks throughout the whole park so it is definitely made into a nice park to walk around during the day
Quiet and peaceful. The park has plenty of trees to provide adequate shade. Its in a nice area so I feel that its pretty safe.
Im going to start by saying that Ill skip the obvious things that everyone else said already. We get it :)Lots of grass, great for dogs and walking, police come through the parking lot every time I go so I feel safe there, conveniently located near a grocery store, gas stations, and freeways, well lit some nights (I dont know what the schedule is about), lots of parking, entrances/exits on two different streets (it matters, trust me!), and so far all my little picnics here have been just fine. Be the change you wanna see!
Ive been here since a little kid playing soccer, but its a pretty chill park with a bunch of space. You can play basketball, baseball, soccer, football, volleyball or go on the playground here.
Big park. Plenty of room to social distant our selves
Enough parking for the whole family. The only thing is that there is alot of homeless that are either in the restrooms or just layed out on the floor, and parking lots. Big enough field to play ball. Softball fields are empty sometimes. But when there is any kind of event there will not be any parking so try to get there early to get a spot for parking.
Great park. Very well kept.
If your kids love old steam trains they will love this park. They have miniature trains they can ride for free and parents you can give a donation if you want them to continue this awesome tradition. Its a beautiful park with lots of space to just relax.
Great park, such a big area and beautiful trees
Excellent place really unique experience staff is awesome definitely earned the *****
Lots of parking and a great, cement walking loop. Lots of poop bag stations. I wish the had drinking fountains for the pups.
I went to relax for a while and ended up taking a nap.clean people mind there business
Great place to get out and walk the dogs! No shade. No restroom at the time.
Nice big ol public park with a terrific theme! If youre into trains so is this place.Theres a miniature railroad with accompanying rail signage right here in the park! I hear that there may be a small train about someplace. Just havent found it yet!Large trees, ball fields, full playgrounds, and much green grass are to be found here too!
I love riding the little train
Lots of interesting people in the parking lot during this time.
This park used to be nice until it became a campground for the homeless. Wish it could be a place familys could enjoy and feel safe. Instead the homeless leave their trash everywhere and could care less about society.
Its cool
Nice softball fields. Nice playground. Miniature train that kids can ride with their parents around the park a couple weekends a month. It has always been very well maintained when I have visited
Clean, nice lay out for a walk, disappointed that the train is not running.
Great walking paths for evening walks
Nice and clean park perfect for the whole family
Nice Quiet Park. Felt Ssafe
This place used to be a wasteland. It was fenced off, never watered . About 8 years ago the local government rehabilitated the area. Now it is a magnet to the community. Baseball, soccer, and other activities. The Parks and recs do a great job. -1 * THE TOILETS WERE CLOGGED, AND SMELLED.
My sons favorite park! perfect play area swings slides spinners train steering wheel basketball court & a big open field, train tracks, dont know if the train still stops by but overall the park itself is very spacious & inviting (:
It looks nice... But there is shady people around most of the time. Some of them live in there vehicles. Sad but true
Great place to take the kids and friends many things to do there like play basketball and have the kids play on one of the playgrounds there
Very nice park and honestly one of the best I have been too in a long time. My only complaint would be this creepy African American guy, who looked homeless, standing on the playground watching my kids. I really thought maybe I was crazy until another lady sitting in her car told me he was watching my kids. Parents do not leave your kids unattended especially the little ones.
Dropped a star. Last visit smelled of human waste in the parking lot. Maybe a one off but there were motorhomes and vehicles hanging out in a way suggesting their park visit is more long term than others.
Very nice park, really clean
Really nice clean park
Beautiful clean park with tons of space to bring your dog while your little one plays on the playground. Designated toddler playground built like a train, swings, basketball court, picnic tables and cute little horses. Oh and cant forget an adorable little rail road track, however no train was on there. Still highly recommend this park!
This is a nice park
A nice, peaceful place to sit and have my lunch. Quiet and serene.
This is one of the best parks around. It is very well maintained.
Really good soccer fields and they a small train track that I didnt get to see lol
My kids love this park
Nice park. We attended a little Nerf Wars event. Fun
There are 6 or 7 ball fields so you can choose a baseball game or soccer. People have started a womens league mens Soccer & baseball play ground for children very handy restrooms. You just have to check it out for yourself. Weekends are the most lively they have a little train that gos all the way around the whole park and children can ride it free.
Its a nice place to take your kids out for a park adventure.
The train day is the best. Well versed steamers
Cool chill spot
Excellent fruit stand
Awesome. I love that park
Fun place for a day out. The train us the best.
Nice, clean park. Stay away from the bathrooms though. They smell bad.
Nice and peaceful just to just hangout and relax
Clean fun large park. Quiet when we went. Kids loved it.
Very peaceful during the week.I have lunch here sometimes .Nice for walking or running
Supper, I didnt get to see the train in action but its opinions is every last Sunday or Saturday of the month from 1 to 3
Wonderful park to spend a few hours with the family. The train runs every 2nd and 4th Sunday from 10 AM - 3 PM.
This place is so cool, and a relaxing place to chill and take a lunch break. They have a train track that goes around the whole park.
I used to go to this park all the time as a kid. Even before they had renovations to make it better. The open fields were always what brought people to the park. Not to mention that every other Sunday you can find a mini locomotive chugging around. Now they have all sorts of new additions such as good playsets, picnic tables for family events, basketball courts, better softball fields, and better upkeep. This park has always been an amazing place to spend time at and still is.
Its a good place to hangout at night.
Beautiful park. There are so many beautiful trees, great for family photos. The trains are spectacular. They have conductors on certain weekends and as long as you wait in line, you can ride for free or with a donation. The kids love it and the train travels around the whole park, its about a 20 minute ride. Its educational and fun pls there is a great place to area.
Hunter Park has a miniature train that runs twice a month on a Sunday morning. Our children are older so we have never gone there for that, but it is a beautiful, well-maintained park with lights in the evening until 10pm; 4 basketball courts and two baseball/softball fields. Local homeless hangout sometimes but have never caused us problems. The beauty of the park Is a 5 star; the area makes me wish a 4 1/2 star was available!
Great park. Things to do for all ages. Make sure to check out the little steamer trains every other Sunday.
ⁿ0ⁿilbert askasg and marquita sitting hinaca
Love this park. Come on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month to enjoy the trains too. Park is a train theme as well. Can play ball fly kites and shade areas for a picnic
Well smoking Cigars can happen in the Parking Lotbut I had some rest time.
Great place to take your family and ride the train.
A great park to bring your child to either play on the playground or have a birthday party. Every second and fourth Sunday of the month there are live steam engines that the kids can ride. Truly a unique experience.
Lots of fun riding the train. Lots of fun. The kids loved it too.
Love it ...keep missing the train rides but..ill catch up one day!
This is a beautiful parrk I love when leafs change colors and the minture train is priceless
Looks fun
Spent some time with my wife and niece in the park. Watched a soccer match while the little one painted. Beautiful day, it was!
Amazing the live Steamers were the highlight of my life! Come ride the little steam locomotive
Ooooh my grandchildren
This park always has something going on (in a good way) my daughter has her soccer practices here and my bf plays his softball games... I dont have a reason to rate it under 5 stars
