This park is my favorite place! All throughout the year its always beautiful and it always has something new to see. There are easy paths to walk/bicycle and some a bit more difficult. Its a great place for all age groups. The dog park is by far the best one in town.

This is such a marvelous park to go to. You can do so much here and the beauty is stunning to say the least. If you enjoy walking or jogging this is the perfect place to do it. There are different walking trails to take, each path lined with alluring foliage that is a sight to see. Theres a beautiful little lake that you can walk around that glistens in the sun during the day. Theres multiple animals you might catch a glimpse of while youre there, but make sure when youre looking for animals and smelling the flowers you watch for snakes. My personal favorite part of San Rafael is the sunflower garden which is something you have to see for yourself. This park is perfect for walking, walking your dog, and especially for taking pictures. Along with the walking trails, there is also a little farm area that may have chickens, sheep, and even horses. It depends on what season you visit the park in though, around the end of summer you cant see as many animals at the barn. Overall, this is one of the best parks I have ever been to, and Ive been all across the country. If you have little children, they can be entertained at the dinosaur playground which has dinosaur themed playground equipment. If youre ever in the area of Reno, Rancho San Rafael is a perfect place to stop by and enjoy!

A quick walk around a corner of my favorite Reno park the other day. This park holds particular value in Reno and goes unmatched as far as city amenities go; it has so much to offer. The ARBORETUM! The art gallery and gift shop! The trails and paths. It is truly a unique and beautiful park. I love it.

This park is amazing. Danelle from Studiodcf.com and I did a family photo session here on Thanksgiving day. It is a very large park with nice walking trails, great childrens play areas and a nice size pond. If you happen to be in Reno and want a place to relax for the day with the family, it is well worth it.

This is a really nice park - one of the best in Reno. There are several trails for walking, running, hiking, and biking. The park also has playgrounds, picnic tables, a dog park, a museum, two ponds, and an arboretum. The flowers are so beautiful in the spring and summer! Its a great place to spend some time outdoors.

Ok... Im giving away one of my secret hiding places... But I cant help it! This place is so incredibly beautiful and peaceful and has been at absolute sanctuary for me. It helped me achieve a desperately needed moment of peace, while my world was in utter chaos, and its FREE!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you, to all who have made this possible, and for all the love and care and hard work that goes into the care and upkeep! Putting you on my donations list!

Rancho San Rafael Park encompasses do many options for open space to walk around in! A beautiful arboretum with cultivated gardens and no pets allowed, an historical park with examples of old Nevada Life, the Wilbur D. May Center is consistently fabulous, and then there is the other 80% of the park.

Its a very large park with much to do and see. Most of the trails arent harsh to walk and are well maintained. Though, if you take the tunnel to the other side of the road, it gets more natural and rougher. The arboretum and maze are pleasant to walk. There is a lot of people, though. So if you want a quiet, out-of-the-way spot this is not it.Also, if you bring a dog, make sure they are dog-friendly because the dog park attracts a lot of them.

RSR park is gigantic. Walking trails, running trails, you could bike these also. They have a huge dog park. Baseball/Softball diamonds, 18 home disc golf course, and a National Basque Monument! Then monument is a tribute to the infamous sheep herders. Ive walked through Spanish Basque, incredible country. The installation is older but very intriguing and worth your time. I just played a round of Disc Golf, its November 19th and the course was hopping. Sunshine and Blue skies. Lovely place.

Love bringing the fur family here awesome dog park, but as for the childrens park it used to be much better now there are a bunch of teens using it and kind of make people uncomfortable but everyone needs a place to go and hang out so nothing against them just wish it had more to offer for all age groups like a skatepark or pool.

It was amazing to be part of such a great event. The Great Reno Hot Air Balloon Race. I had the awesome time. Plenty parking outside the park if you dont wanna park inside. The charge is just $10 dollars and you have to walk. No bad for a morning stroll around the park. You must get the there around 3:30 am to be able to be the first ones in. Lots of place to park your . The early the better for you to find a confortable spot to see the entire show.

Large park, off leash! The dogs and their people were nice. The only issue was that the large grassy fields were a bit marshy when we visited, and we were not in a position to give our dog a wash that night. There were poop bags available at the entrance, but only one trash can that I saw. But we will visit again, for sure.

This is a great place to go for a walk, the trees on the arboreum side provide shade and wind break and the riparian areas help keep it cool. Beautiful colours in the fall, micro climates and gardens through out with educational plaques. There is a large dog park and when you combine the Evans canyon side there are miles of trails for hiking, running, and mountain bikes. Dont forget about the Wilber May Museum it is an old school natural history museum with a wealth of art, artifacts, and taxidermy. They also feature special events that are pretty cool.

This is a very wonderful park in Northwest Reno. It is a Washoe County park and free for general use. The trail through the arboretum is very nice in the fall, but a pleasant walk any time. There are clean bathrooms to use and an off leash area for dogs to play. At the north end of the park a tunnel goes under Mccarran Blvd and connects to Rancho San Rafael park and trails all around Peavine Mountain.

This is my kids favorite Park. They like to call it the dinosaur park. Awesome Trail to walk including workout stations with multiple parks also there is a arboretum and Botanical Garden. Theres even a museum and a dog park. We enjoy going and eating lunch there as there is benches to sit. They used to have a active water amusement ride which is no longer active but still there for you to view. There is a pond where you can watch the ducks bob up and down on the water. They used to have animals but the last time we were there they only had two turkeys but one was gigantic!! you should go check it out!!
