Amazing atmosphere and that $9.99 Prime Rib Special is HUGE! You get so much food! Seriously, you will not leave hungry! Jacqueline was absolutely fantastic and though the casino is pretty smokey, the restaurant was not. Im too full to even think about anything witty to say, so heres a bunch of pics instead. Enjoy!

I was at the gold dust West tonight and I wasnt having the best tonight and I have to say that there is a floor manager name Derek that treated me so well he just made my day better and I want to say I appreciate that go this way I just want to say I appreciate the kindness that your staff have given me and please make sure to make a notation on Dereks file that he is a great employee thank you

I hadnt come here in awhile because last time it was dirty. A friend convinced me to give them a chance for Veterans Day. I did. I arrived and explained I am on medication and nauseous so I cant wear a mask and was immediately told to leave. No matter about it. Second chance blown.

More of a locals hangout ,good place to go if you dont want to deal with the glitz & glamor crowd @ the bigger casinos.Machines pay well & the barkeep keeps em coming.I do recommend if this is what your looking for.Good luck

Casino floor is great, bars are great, food is great but some of hostesses can be rude. Wait time in the restaurant can be sometimes long during peak periods. Regardless, I’ll still be a regular at GDW Reno... Would be great to see some upgraded bar top games in the future! (hint hint)

Only one server on the floor he wasnt polite at all not to mention he was slow as molasses by the time I had gotten my drink I had already gamble through my 20 bucks within 15 minutes he took to get a not even a hundred feet away from me at the bar. When he came back it was very Snappy and rude and telling me that he couldnt give me a drink unless I gamble the minimum of $20 when I explained to him that I already gambled 20 waiting for my drink and I dont want to keep feeding the same machine he was very rude to me and didnt serve me the rest of the night not the best experience Ive had there. I really used to enjoy going to Gold Dust but not so much anymore.

The new remodel and add on of the additional casino looks great. They have a lot of newer games which is cool, but unfortunately they sacrificed a lot of the older games which I know a lot of people enjoy still. Since the reopening it seems as though Gold Dust West has tightened the purse strings on the majority of the games. Between myself and several friends and multiple visits, no one has really had any positive luck in terms of a decent winning streak or walking g out was with more than they came in with. Definitely no long a casino to patron with a light wallet. Make sure those pockets are deep cause you need a decent amount of starting funds to do decent for longer than 16 min here.

Not too crowded and lots of different and cool slots to play. I came out ahead with my winnings... nothing major but still won. I will definitely be coming back here.

Do not waste your money here. The payouts are the worst in town. Ive spent well over 1000 dollars here this year and have never won more than twenty bucks.No fun if you NEVER win anything.Hope the renovations were worth losing customers over

I visit The Grill on a periodic basis for the Prime Rib special. Honestly, it is cheaper than cooking it at home. I never get bad service or dry steak.

Dont sit in your car too long, pulled in to go play, but was finishing a phone call I was on. Les than 5mins sitting on my phone call, Paul Blart (mall cop) told me to leave or get out. Like on the phone then he chilled outside my car till I got mad and left. Other than that great place.

Great food, very affordable, need to update hours though, says Grill opens at 10am, but actually opens at 7.

**5 stars for the food!! But just 1 for the casino, thus the 3 star rating**The restaurant in there is easily the best in all of our local casinos here in the Reno/Sparks and Carson area. That said, I just never really feel like Im winning anymore on their slots. Something changed a dozen or so years back...like their machines need constant feeding now and they just dont keep you there on the points tallying rollercoaster of up a little and down a little and up and down and you know what I mean. That little digital club card points counter doesnt lie, it shows me how much is paying out while I keep count of what Im actually paying in.And they just never hit big anymore, either. Ever. Not anymore.And on top of that, its the smokiest local casino we have too. Nice and clean environment and theyve been through a few renovations but the air is like youre in your car smoking with the windows rolled up. I couldnt do that when I used to smoke, much less now that I dont. I dont know what it is, but they cannot clear that air out of there for some reason.I hate to bash on the place but those are two dealbreakers for me when it comes to a casino, first and foremost the super stingy machines...Sorry, Gold Dust, but its been my experience coming there for years. The slots used to pay more but the restaurant has never let me down.

Not glamorous or pretentious, but friendly and has looser machines than the big clubs. I joined their club and receive coupons for free play and free food each week. The restaurant is surprisingly excellent with huge portions.

New owners have taken away all the slot games that I used to be able to play a little while on. Now, even if they say penny play, they are really dollar games. Dont blame management to much when covid causes them to shut down half there gaming floor.

The three times I have been to Gold Dust West, I and my guest have had very good breakfasts. My husband and I went two days ago and had breakfast. Both our meals were unsatisfactory. I might add I have found this to be the case since the outbreak of Covid-19. The quality has certainly diminished.

Restaurant has gone downhill. Not enough staff and when I asked about it I was given a snotty reply. Linda the cocktail waitress is rude and Ive made many complaints to management to no avail. Other than that its ok.

Theres plenty of parking and the slots pay out at a good average. A friend of mine won a 1300$ and a 1800 jack pot on the Buffalo slot.

Free Pie! And its good!I ate here for the first time with a friend who has been enjoying their free pie for years and it was really good! Meals are so large these days with no exception here. We shared a burger, ordered medium(served a little pink), with fries (of course), and a vanilla coke. We had our choice between Mixed Berry or Chocolate Mint pie and we went with the berry. It was delicious! All kinds of berries and a crumb crust.If youre looking for someplace off the main drag try Gold Dust West and their Free Pie (and free ATM)!!

All the employees there including the employees from the Grill are amazingly friendly. You dont feel harrassed by security the moment you walk in the door. Unlike the GSR..... ALSO GDW has great free play bonuses when you become a member. And, I dont know about anyone else but as for me, I sure like that Free Pie and Free ATM! Who would complain about not getting charged a fee to pull money out of your own account or or eating some FREE PIE?!!! However just a few minor fix a Fix-It issues that could be solved in a heartbeat. theres sometimes has been a bad stench when you walk in the doors. Not all the time, but some. And maybe they could get an extra bar hand to help go around collecting empty glasses and bottles or help the cocktail servers. But other than that its an Ok kind of chill place to go. And the food from the Grill?.... Delightful!!!

Gold Dust West is the VERY BEST resturant in Reno. Food is excellent and prices are reasonable.

Susan was extremely rude made me keep repeating myself over and over asked for something to go and she kept thinking I wanted it here at the stand, who does that? I was asking for her with it to go, I dont know why she made it so difficult. Susan never let me know my food was ready I had to go back up to the stand even tho I was 10 ft away. Food was inevitably cold and flavorless.

The newly remodeled Gold Dust West is really cool now. It’s cozy and seems all around cleaner. And bartender Kelly sure knows how to stir one up. It just might be my new favorite place to drink and gamble.

Obviously no one likes the mask rule, machines werent paying and no one seemed very happy. Not the usual casino atmosphere.

Nothing special...but one sour point.. they dont have a bag check so they ask you to leave if you have a backpack,if you have a book bag or even your laptop in a bag.

We really wanted to try the new cafe for lunch, but after watching the cafe employees almost constantly touching their face with their gloved hands and adjusting their sweaty hats we decided to refrain. We have been customers of GDW for years but hygiene is a must exspecially in these troubled times.
