Beautiful, well-maintained fields that attract a lot of visitors. Do come early to avoid crowds and heat. Several varieties are planted from multi-branching to dwarf to mammoth Russian sunflowers. Expect to spend 40 to 60 minutes or more exploring the many rows and paths. Lots of good picture spots. Watch for bees and please dont pick or destroy any sunflowers.

GREAT park. Man, City of Raleigh did good planting these flowers here. When we visited, there were so many people there taking pictures and just enjoying the scenery. We saw a ton of bees, which is one of the best reasons to see these flowers in bloom! Thank you, City of Raleigh.

Always a destination worth visiting in late summer. Love these huge fields of happy flowers :) great photo opportunities. This field is part of Dorothea Dix park which is North America’s largest green space inside city limits! Events are happening here all the time. Art, music, food, etc. Definitely worth stopping by.

Nice place to walk and take pictures of Sunflowers. More than enough parking available. Easily accessible and no stairs. Could be muddy if it has recently rained.

The park around was beautiful but sunflower field did not have anything more than a small sign directing you to it. Cant find it without google when in off-season.

+1 to amazing things you can don in summer in Raleigh! This year they had sunflower fest in first week of July. This place was full of crowd and enjoyments. They had bus service from NC state centennial campus and parking was provided free in any cemetennial campus parking lot of NC State University. Volunteers were there everywhere to help people visiting. At festiv location there were tons of food trucks and even beer trucks. We could enjoy our favorite Trophie brewing here. Sunflower garden was too lit. As you can see pics, it was too pretty. Many people were having great time with their partners and fur partners. They even had live music playing in grouond and some games were put for enjoyment.** there was no free water! Had to pay 10 bucks in cash for 3 small water bottles, not sure if that person looted us or that was the rate. Good lesson to carry water with you anytime in summer!

What not to love with gorgeous sunflower field, the only thing is visitors should be more considerate not to pick and step on them. Also pay attention to the parking because the field is next to the office buildings, should park at the soccer field parking lot.

Busy, but not as bad as I expected. There’s plenty of parking and plenty of sunflowers for everyone to enjoy. You can also bring dogs (leashes) to the field with you. The sunflowers are beautiful and in bloom. It truly is a sight to see. We saw people taking professional photos there and it seemed like a great idea. The landscape and colors are bright and would really pop in a photo. Even if you just want to stroll outside this is a great place. Against the blue sky the bright yellow hue is worth spending some time there.

Busy, and the sunflowers weren’t actually that tall. Lots of parking but be careful of the uneven dirt parking lot. You could easily bottom out. It might be fun to picnic here. Portapotties were very clean! (Cleaned 7/12/18, the day before we went). You can see the top of the Raleigh skyline

Such a cool place to have a nice photo op. The only downside is that we visited on a very hot day so the poor sunflowers were a little droopy. Another thing is that the photos make the flowers look much taller but in reality they only came up to like waist high. Regardless, you should go if even just to take a couple of selfies.

Awesome to see so many sunflowers and the visit is free. Went with visitors from Atlanta, GA, and they said they have sunflower fields but there is a fee to get in, and a fee to take pictures. So proud of my city for providing such an awesome display of beauty for all to share.

We went for a good truck rodeo and a good time on the 4th of July. The food trucks were good, but the lines were massive, the sunflower field itself was really nice and the busses ran timely, but there were no fireworks. It was pretty disappointing, but still a nice evening.
