Everything from start to finish was a success for Crazy Axe to host my private event. I was able to communicate with the owner/staff ahead of time, on multiple occasions, to help ensure everything was ready to go on the day of. They responded quickly and professionally. They went above and beyond helping my guests with instruction, form, safety, and score cards! Having a bar there is a nice touch and I was able to bring in a cake that I made to share as well. We had plenty of space to spread out. We never felt crowded. They had music playing for us as well. What a fun new expierience to try, be social, and get some physical activity!

Crazy Axe is extremely fun. I took my daughter and her friend here for her 15th birthday, and they had a great experience. It was our first time throwing axes and lets just say we needed a lot of work. Tammie was a great coach. She taught us different throwing techniques and was extremely patient with all 3 of us. The staff was very friendly, professional, and accommodating. We will definitely be returning. 100% recommend this place.

I absolutely love this place! Me and a small group of friends booked tickets to go on a Friday night. One person in my group work schedule got pushed back and I was able to call and have our time changed without any penalties like losing our deposit. Don provided excellent customer service and was very accommodating. Our axe coach Bryce was fun, patient, skillful, and encouraging. He even stayed past our time and took pictures of us, which I really appreciated! Also, David, I believe, took some amazing pics/videos of my fiancé hitting a bulls eye that he air dropped to me. This place is truly a hidden gem. They provide the option of you bringing your own food and beverages, which is perfect because they are surrounded by restaurants and stores. The pricing is reasonable. The process of booking online was simple and straightforward. Also, with COVID-19, this place practices social distancing, offered hand sanitizer, and was not crowded even for a Friday night during Labor Day weekend. I can’t recommend this place enough!

This place went far above my expectations! We had a group of 5 and were still able to be socially distant on a Friday night! We also purchased two bottles of wine! $20 for 1 hour is a great deal! Perfect amount of time to play just enough and not get bored! Ask for Lexi when you go. She was amazing! She helped all of us with our stance and throw, and was very accommodating! Definitely the place to visit over the other ones! Family friendly too!

Really good experience! Employees were very very nice. If you have never been ace throwing before, this is the place to go! They teach you and give you advice on how to throw. As we were walking out, (I assume it was the owner) made sure to tell us thank you for coming in. Great management! I recommend making an appointment. Will be going back!

If it were possible to give more than 5 stars - they’d have them. The whole team is welcoming and helpful and makes everyone feel good about the experience - newbie to advanced. The place is super clean - they sanitize everything after use. If you are a more serious thrower you’ll love the boards - they don’t just use pine and it makes the throwing experience so much nicer. They have a nice selection of drinks and snacks as well.I love this place and try to go once a week. 10/10 would recommend to everyone.

A truly ‘axecellent’ experience. A fun idea for date night or killing time, great selection of drinks as well. Our instructor Elijah was fantastic and gave great tips and was hilarious making the time there awesome. Owners were awesome and regularly checked in to make sure we were having a great time. Wow! This was such a fun experience! The staff is very knowledgeable and made us feel super welcomed. Mario, our axe coach, was so fun, personable, and really made the whole hour we were there so much better. We had the best time at Crazy Axe—it was an ABSOLUTE BLAST!!! Tammie was fantastic too. We are putting together a couple of groups to come so hopefully she can be our coach again. She was so patient and we were not good, by the end she had me hitting the bullseye. I highly recommend getting a good group together and using Crazy Axe to blow off some steam or celebrate something amazing— you will not be disappointed!!!!

Awesome place with great prices. Coaches were very helpful and made it a fun experience. Drink selection was amazing along with the overall decorations. I highly recommend for events or even a get together for friends or family.

My best friend and I had a private class with Tammie and we had so much fun in the first 20 minutes that we booked another hour! The staff was phenomenal and the experience matched. Tammie never gave up with helping us find that “sweet spot” with our throwing stance and cheered us on the whole way. Went to this place for date night. Loved loved loved it. It was our first time so we didn’t know what to expect but our coach, Rachel, explained everything we needed to know. She was also very encouraging during our game as well. She even kept score for us. The owners were definitely very nice people. I will come here again!!

This place was amazing!!!! Marcus was an amazing coach!! He showed us how to properly throw and helped correct form when the axe was not sticking to the board for me! He had great conversation and really was like part of the group. We all felt really safe due to the COVID protocol Crazy Axe was following. There was hand sanitizer at every axe throwing station and groups were so spread it. This was the perfect Friday night COVID activity. Thank you again!!!!! :)

Great experience! This spot is a great place to go throw some axes and have some fun! The guys that run this place are awesome. Definitely an affordable option for a fun night out and everything ran really smooth. They even had a local brewery in for tastings. Great for a group night out or even a solo adventure.

I only wish there were more than five stars.I brought a group to Raleigh of 30+ people for a meeting. We were searching for an evening activity. One of the staff found this venue. I emailed because their Website says they arent open on Tuesdays. Not only did they open, but they gave us a great rate and treated us like family.The owner communicated and let me pay the bill online. It made the transaction extremely easy.We signed our waivers, and waited for the whole group. Mandatory safety lecture. Then we started taking turns throwing. As more people tried it more joined the fun.Don and his crew gave us pointers and many in the group sank the axe in the wall - some with bulls eyes.They also have a small bar where you can do snacks as well.

The Crazy Axe helped me throw an amazing surprise birthday party for my fiance on Sunday! They were extremely accommodating and stayed open after hours for us. I was able to drop off party supplies ahead of time and they stored them in a back room so my fiance wouldnt catch on to the surprise. Bryce was our instructor and he took the time with each person (12 in our group) to find a stance and throw that worked. I think everyone got a bulls-eye by the end of the night. They have a good selection of bottled beers and wine and we were able to order pizza and bring our own cake in. We had a really fun experience throwing axes and the customer service is beyond 5 stars. Thanks for making it a memorable birthday!

I love finding new things to do in Raleigh and what a gem! ALERT THERES NOW AN AX THROWING LOCATION IN RALEIGH (no need to drive to Durham). Ive been a few times now and have loved each time. Its great for all ages (with supervision). The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Also, theres something so satisfying about hearing your ax hit the board. I cant wait to go back!

A group of about ~10 of us for a non-sponsored work event came here to have an outing. The staff was extremely helpful, responsive and courteous. We were able to book online very easily and assign all users to go in and sign waivers before even arriving. I did have to have a little back and forth with Don regarding a few people who had to be swapped out and an unexpected snowday. Don was extremely quick to respond and easy to work with and moved out our date with

So excited this place opened up. The owners, Dave and Don, were welcoming and made us feel right at home. I loved the decor, plenty of space so it doesnt feel crowded, awesome coaches.Theyre in the process of putting in two more bays and will be starting a league in March. This will definitely be our go-to axe throwing joint!

A great place to have fun with friends! We had a group of nine people...everyone’s first time throwing. The instructors were great and had us all hitting bullseyes before long. A lot of fun to go as a group and root for/challenge each other HIGHLY recommended. Just do it!!! You’ll have a blast!

Booked a reservation in advance for a one hour slot for two people as a surprise for my boyfriend. Here are the + & - from the experience.+Actual Space once inside was very spacious+They serve wine, beer, & other refreshments on site+A coach is provided to give you pointers/tips+Check in was relatively quick+the activity itself was very fun & they had props for pictures-it seemed too busy for what they could handle which I assume means they are double booking or overlapping reservations-The reservation doesnt actually reserve a dedicated target/space for your group. I was expecting to have at least one target reserved for my boyfriend and I instead we were lumped in w a large party. This resulted in us sharing the one hour session we paid in full, rotating turns w a group of strangers and because they were a large group they dominated the time of the session. Which meant my boyfriend and I only got a chance at the axe a total of 3 times, then idly waiting while the rest of the group took their turns. Felt like I paid for a full session but was only given a fraction of the time promised.When asked why I was grouped with a large party it was explained its bc we are given a coach however the two boards directly next to us had a single couple who had each a target to themselves for their entire session. When their session ended another single couple was placed even though there were groups waiting. So I didnt understand why we were singled out to be paired with this group and why the offer wasnt made to provide us with our own target after I was vocal about our preference to play alone.-Our session was due to start at 4p we arrived a couple mins before to complete the waiver. However we didnt begin even going over the rules until after 415p we started the actual throwing at 4:20p. I had dinner reservations at a set time so we had to leave before the full hour in order to make it bc I did not expect a 20 minute delay.I gave it three stars instead of 2 for the pros I listed above but I will definitely not be returning to this location. I think if the rule is small parties will be grouped w larger parties they should disclose this beforehand and you shouldnt be required to pay for a full session if youre not getting even time. Additionally its hard to understand and respect that if you can see other single couples are being given not one but two targets to themselves. I will be trying axe throwing again at one of the other various locations in the triangle and hoping for a better experience.
