Almost no elevation hike. Pretty easy for kids. The route is full of surprises with vegetation, wild animals, back water and boats. A bit slippery and really muddy if wet.

Extremely peaceful. The lake was dried up so no ducks, but we still saw a good amount of wildlife. There were lots of frogs and snakes. We saw bald eagles, hawks, and even heard a Great Horned Owl. The three mile hike was easy and had lots to look at.

Great trail, but it does seem like some people who reside at the nearby dock use part of the trail to (putting it politely) relieve themselves. I’d recommend watching your step as a result of this.

Nice little trail that isnt highly trafficked. Dogos are welcome on leash, it was incredibly quiet. Which was nice! But eerie and cool

Amazing hike. It was an easy hike for my two kids, my wife and I to knock out in just under 2 hours. We had our dog off leash but he is amazingly well behaved so this lead to is getting a few looks from people with unfriendly dogs. The lake was amazing and the kids loved the bridge. Highly recommended with kids and or pets.

Beautiful area. Quite NARROW trails especially during COVID-19 avoidance. People who bring aggressive barking dogs dont grasp that this place is a REFUGE for wildlife!

Nice, easy hike for any age. It was a little rainy when we were there, so we only saw a few others. Kids enjoyed climbing trees and we all enjoyed seeing garter snakes, Canada geese, a few species of ducks, spotted towhees, robins, and egrets. We heard an eagle but didnt see it, and saw signs of beaver. The trees were blooming and starting to leaf out. I imagine this will be gorgeous in a couple of weeks.

I love this trail. It takes me about an hour to walk the whole loop. Very biodiverse. Lots of frogs when its cool and rainy, lots of garter snakes when its warm and sunny. Blackberries peak in late August, wild roses abound, theres a stand of soulful oak trees and you can even find some St. Johns Wort out here. I keep coming back again and again.

Such a fantastic afternoon walk! The dog loves it and so do we. You get multiple types of scenery along the walk from a couple of houses, the picnic field in the beginning and walking along side the Willamette slough. Theres a dock to fish off of and plenty of sail/house boats to see.

A beautiful place, so quiet and yet so close to Portland. We enjoyed our walk but then discovered a what looked like a fairly fresh Cougar print along the trail. That was enough for us... we headed back to the car. Try again next time.

This was a wonderful park to walk around. Going in the Fall, Winter and Spring will mean less changes of mosquitos, but what this place is known for is bird watching. Look up what birds are around for different times of years. Spring is when we go, as we will see a wide variety of birds out and hear their calls.
