So much fun! Rachel was a great teacher, broke down all the steps and kept score throughout the team competition. Will try it again for sure

I was skeptical at first but wow what a great experience! Eilif knows so much about different axes, handles, styles, and sport. He is an excellent teacher and his passion and enthusiasm for throwing really shows. We went from true novices to making a bullseye and learning to aim in an hour! Who knew how satisfying it would be to sink steel into wood? Highly recommend as a group activity for those who like to be active, like a little competition, and try new things!

This place was a blast. The two employees there were very helpful and friendly to our group and showed us techniques to help improve our accuracy. Did a tournament which was a lot of fun. Overall great place for a party or date night. Food was ordered from next door and brought to axe throwing room. The food was awesome as well, as was the beer. Its been a while where I could say I had so much fun/great experience somewhere. I didnt want to leave, throwing an axe was so much fun!

The BEST party experience! Portland Axe came out and set up a mobile one-lane unit inside of TILT for our team holiday party. He was incredibly helpful and taught the vast majority of us who have never thrown an axe the proper techniques. By the end of the night, multiple people were throwing multiple bullseyes! He also arranged a tournament and gave out a free axe as a trophy to the winner. It was a fun, engaging bonding experience that my coworkers will never forget.

My experience at Portland Axe Throwing was truly incredible! I went for a 30th birthday party in a group of 12 and the team was so helpful in coordinating our reservation and even accommodated a last minute time change. They set up a competitive 3-rounsd tournament for us and by the end of the day our hosts felt like part of our friend family! They were AMAZING. Such a great spot for a party or hang!

Having never touched an axe let alone throw one I didn’t know what to expect. Tyler, our instructor, was great. Gave us lots of tips and even though I suck at it we had a lot of fun. Go give it a try!!

The instructors were excellent teachers. They explained how to throw an axe safely and effectively and were attentive and precise with their feedback throughout the trial and error learning process.The beer on tap was excellent. Among my festive-time favorites were the barrel-aged winter ale and the oatmeal pumpkin amber.The food was fantastic. I had the cubano, but also had the opportunity to try the wings, which, while dry (and less messy), were incredibly flavorful in all the right ways. My friend had the nachos which were recommended by the bartender and a random gent sitting at the bar. They lived up to the glowing reviews, to say the least.All told: 10/10 will ride again!

This was AWESOME! The staff is great, the instructors are hilarious and informative. Very fun and lax feel. Great food, good drinks. Will absolute do this again.

Came here for a friends birthday and we had so much fun! The guy running it makes sure everyone knows the proper form and will help adjust you so that you can get the axe to stick into the wood. They have clear guidelines on where you need to stand and what is allowed so you feel very safe if youre uncomfortable with the idea of throwing. I recommend giving it a try though if youre in the area!

This is one of the most spontaneous yet fulfilling things Ive done. My best friend and I went and had a blast. Our instructor was great to work with and gave us so many pointers. He went over safety and taught us the correct posture, and handling of an axe. He was very professional and a pleasure to work with. Definitely recommend, its an awesome idea for a girls night out!

Portland Axe Throwing with Eilif is great if you want to have a good time out, experience something new, and/or start a new hobby! My family and I signed up and gave this a go, it was a blast! It became the highlight to our family reunion. Eilif was super nice and amazing; he was able to teach us beginners to throw an axe within seconds! We’re already planning another trip here for our next family reunion!

Absolutely loved this experience! So worth it! Eilif is a great teacher and hiat. Our group didnt know eachother personally and we still enjoyed the sport and was of the setting. Great team builder or just fun event out! Highly recommended!
