The show was amazing!! Staff was friendly and professional!! Drinks were nice and stiff! Prices were pretty reasonable. Haven’t been here for a few years and it was just as good as I remembered!! Will definitely be trying to make it back again soon. That 90’s dance thing you got going on on Saturdays sounds pretty rad.

I loved the Crystal Ballroom! It was so classy and elegant with the crystal chandelier! I ordered a Coors, it was a big delicious beer. Overall I had a magical night seeing the awesome band performance!Im very tall and the man I was with is 6 feet 5 inches and we got there early and were in the front row next to the drinks behind VIP and a lot of people behind us were shorter and wanted me to move and give up my place but I didnt give it up because I earned my front row by waiting in line before they opened the doors and by being the first person to stand in the front row. I literally stood for 2 hours holding that spot before I even got to see monsters and men. Sorry to the people behind us but get there early if you want my spot. I also recommend VIP if you want to be close. But I was just as close as the VIPs because I was there early.

Crystals Brazilian Carnival by Rodrigo Baena of Favela Cafe in SE Portland was all the way live this year!! 2020 was a colorful celebration with friendly people, lots of smiles, beautiful costumes. The show and dancing were so authentic from NE Brazil. Since I just got back from Carnival in Brazil, to see its same energy and spirit in Portland was amazing. VIP Section has best view. Cant wait to attend next year. Family friendly. Everybody should come to this big happy dance party!!

Awesome venue, saw Jonathan Davis there. Staff was great, I liked that they had food & drinks available right at the back of the room and “adult beverages” on the other side where it was 21+. It was pretty warm in there, with all the body heat. But not hot enough to be disappointed or dampen the mood. For sure worth a road trip!

This place is a staple in downtown Tacoma. A MUST visit when you come. They have hidden bars a dance hall and few restaurants inside. Get lost down hallways and find secret doors! You might come across the ballroom or a bar. They offer vegan food as well! Go friends and try to meet at one spot like a game.

Ive been to this venue several times and still love it. Its a historical music venue with a floating wooden floor. There is a small balcony with seats that are usually reserved in my experience. I most recently saw Jenny Lewis there. They had fast entry with plenty of security and metal detection. There are several stairs up to the stage and a small elevator for those who need it. This was an all ages show so the dance floor had a double barrier down the middle. There were two bars on the 21 and over side. I had a drink and then went to the all ages side because it was less crowded. I enjoy the ballroom, chandelier atmosphere. It makes shows feel magical. Street parking only, free meters after 7pm.

I love the Crystal Ballroom. Ive been visiting here for twenty years! I visit about six times a year and always have a great time. They always play great music. I saw my first concert here, recently. I was able to see Machine Gun Kelly! Very hot and sweaty environment when everyone is having such fun. They had drinks, but I didnt buy any. When the concert was going full swing and we were jumping to the music I can feel the whole floor moving. That was part of the thrill I think haha. I had an incredible time. Nothing but great people outside too.

The 80s video dance attacks are always fun here and beneath the Crystal at Lolas. The floor bends under the weight of the crowded dance floor, as if it has springs. Cool and unnerving at the same time. The Valentines Day dance was fun. The bar will not serve mixed drinks containing more than one shot of alcohol, so I couldnt get a Long Island Iced Tea. There is a coat check.

Went for the Folk Festival. The venue was great as the floor moves when you do. The drinks inconsistent, The fries hot and tasty. The music was pure talent if you like folk the earlier line ups are more in line with old time folk from my experience, as the night progressed the music changed to new, pop folk. All in all a great night with live performance.

Very cool venue for seeing a show and the sound quality and mixing was spot on. I will definitely come back to see more shows here. Theres even limited seating in a small balcony section that you can get access to if youre one of the first in the door (its a bit removed from the stage but if sitting is a priority of yours...).

McMenamins Crystal Ballroom is located in the heart of downtown Portland in the Ringlers Building. Standing since 1914 it has hosted cotillions, square dances, and in the 60s and 70s rock, soul and r&b artists. It has several levels with the main dance floor being on the 3rd level. It has beautiful crystal chandeliers made with colored glass and pained vignettes on the walls. There are stairs and an old elevator making this venue completely wheelchair accessible. There is a pub on the first level with bar games, food and drink, as well as a full dinner menu. The only parking is on the street or in parking garages nearby that charge for the spaces. We struggled to find a handicapped parking space, and found only one in the parking garage across the street. It was $10 to park until midnight. The staff at this venue are very nice and accommodating. The stage is small and intimate with the crowd barriers being very close to the stage. The wooden dance floor is a floating floor so you can actually feel it move underneath you with the crowd, which is a little disconcerting. The sound production was very professional and was in balance so it sounded really amazing. The performer I went to see only needed them to adjust her monitor twice and add some delay once, and all in all she continued to sound amazing. Given the level of service, the historic beauty and the good production, I would definitely see another concert here again and I wouldnt hesitate to take my wheelchair bound Mom.

Legendary venue with a long list of historic artists who sat on this stage and played. I had the chance to see Taking Back Sunday this weekend here, though I found myself looking around throughout the show thinking about how Elliott Smith once played the same stage. The venue is beautiful, though the floor level is completely general standing, which is fine, except they had the center aisle blocked off, so you had to choose a side of the stage to stand on... apparently I chose the more crowded side and by the time the concert began it was too late to switch. Kind of odd.Still had a great time, I believe there were 3 bars and a balcony with seating. A Portland must of youre into music!

Cool venue and a great vibe, but better suited for quieter acts (think folk/lo-fi). The overall loudness in the place is brutal, and the acoustics cannot handle the brutal volume of sound that many live acts now want to put out. Unfortunately the sound ends up being quantity over quality in many instances now...

I enjoyed Miyavis show at Lolas room, its a very intimate venue, especially experiencing it with one of my favorite musicians. The Crystal Ballroom upstairs is bigger than Lolas room, but it had another event planed that night. As the concert ended, the Video Dance Attack started and I hung out upstairs for a bit and had more fun than I expected. The only downside, is this place can get super hot at sold out concerts during the summer. Everyone at Miyavis show was drenched in sweat a little after the show started. It cooled down at the end of the night but I had to change my clothes before heading to the Video Dance Attack.

I enjoyed our concert evening, however the venue is not at all comfortable or accommodating for anyone with physical limitations.
