Amazing collection of pieces! Alot of galleries were closed during my visit..(due to COVID)..but PAG made up for that.

Portland Art Gallery is a gorgeous gallery space. As one of their artists, I appreciate how hard the knowledgeable staff works to create a dynamic exhibition space. I love that they have a large computer monitor of all of the additional inventory not currently hanging and can easily pull out additional work of favored artists to show clients. Its always a treat to see art in this very beautiful space!

Portland Art Gallery is the most beautiful spacious gallery representing many of Maines most prolific artists. If you didnt know you were in Maine, you would think that you were in Soho. The staff are efficient and a pleasure to work with, and the first Thursday art openings are always stimulating and fun. Portland Art Gallery is a pleasure to do business with!

Emma and her team were wonderful and accommodating as we bought a painting by Deborah Randall yet could get to it for about a month. Their flexibility and understanding were deeply appreciated. We are loyal fans of them and their gallery.

Portland Art Gallery has created a most beautiful space for artworks to be shown in the best light. Daytime and evening. I have had my artwork represented by Portland Art Gallery since 2015 and have seen the gallery evolve into a modern space for artists working in many different styles to exhibit their work in a professional yet inviting setting. Artworks are given space to breathe so a visitor/collector/fan can view the work as it may appear in their home or office. As a member artist I appreciate having the opportunity to meet and become friends with other gallery artists as we make it a point to be at the openings together to visit and speak with visitors. There is always new work hanging which makes repeat visits fun to see what my fellow artists have been working on. All in all its a beautiful and inspiring space.

It was love at first sight when i stepped into Portland Art Gallery! Its a beautiful gallery space and I was greeted by a lovely woman who told me about the gallery and its mission. It was clear to me that PAG is dedicated to working hard to support their artists and the arts.As an artist I appreciate the beautiful space, how well the art is hung, and most importantly the quality of the art.Ive been with the gallery ever since and am grateful to the owner and highly competent staff. I encourage you to stop in for a visit whenever youre in Old Port!

This wonderful gallery occupies a gorgeous space in a lovely old building in the Old Port area of Portland. It is staffed by knowledgeable and approachable staff members who do a great job curating the gallerys talented mix of artists. Im so pleased to be among the artists represented there. Great place, many fabulous artists on display, Holly Smith in particular. Acoustics is better than most downtown Portland spaces. The help is exemplary.

From the first time I walked through the door I knew that the Portland Art Gallery was a unique gallery. First there’s its physical attributes -- high-ceilinged, light- filled space located in a beautiful building in a charming section of Portland -- a perfect showcase for fine art. In addition to that, though, there is much that makes me happy to be one of their represented artists. Their down-to-earth staff warmly welcomes me each time I stop by, and really cares about my work. They constantly promote their artists in the press, on social media outlets, with gallery publications, and in so many other creative ways, always working hard to implement new and different approaches to presenting us and our work. They also respect their artists by keeping us “in the loop” with emails, openings, and in-house meetings. I couldn’t ask for a better gallery. If you haven’t, do stop by to see this gallery for yourself!

PAG has a Beautiful high ceilinged ,white walled space,great light ,perfect for viewing the eclectic array of art they have curated into their stable of artists :potentially Something for everyone’s taste direction. State of the art ,digital wall display to investigate their stable of artists,with a fine selection of brief videos to explore your artists of choice in more depth. the staff and director are knowledgeable ,available and pleasant .Its a very accessible and rewarding art gallery experience,which holds a number of jewels

Amazing Gallery so talented and professional!!

Beautiful art gallery showcasing Maine artists. They are now doing a sons of maine show featuring painter Philip Barter, his son sculptor Matthew Barter, and painter Eric Hopkins. All three of them do unique work and do not do typical landscapes or sculptures of animals. They each interrupt Maine and the landscapes of Maine through their vision and how they feel and experience the world around them. Go see their work at The Portland Art gallery and check out these artists and many others who also have art there. You wont be disappoonted.

Some of the most exquisite art from around Maine is displayed here. The pieces here have such a breathtaking energy, they change art displays like once a month.

Art displayed was interesting but a bit over priced. No acknowledgement from staff within the gallery. Seemed more like an exhibit space than a sale venue. Not sure I would go back, despite the fact we are avid collectors and have commissioned a number of pieces elsewhere.
