Excellent art gallery, knowledgeable.

Casco Bay Artisans (CBA) is definitely worth a visit. The art in this lovely gallery has been beautifully curated. There is something for everyone. Gallery owner, Jen Swarts, is both knowledgeable and welcoming. You won’t want to miss this special space. It’s truly a unique experience.

Casco Bay Artisans or CBA, is a conveniently located fine arts gallery in the heart of Commercial Street. They feature few dozens local artists, in a nice modern building on the pier. Several events are hosted here throughout the year. The staff are friendly, polite, and knowledgeable of the local area and the art they host. If you looking for a nice small art gallery here in Portland, this is one on the top of the many in the city.

This is one of my must-visit places when Im in Portland. She does a wonderful job of showing a wide variety of artists, from the requisite watercolor Maine landscapes to fresh, new artists. She goes that extra mile in both interacting with visitors and in incorporating new ways of creating artist exposure/viewer participation. This really is a Portland gem.

Beautiful artwork in a beautiful gallery. The owner is extremely knowledgeable about every piece of art, and so welcoming when you walk in the door. There is such a diverse collection of artists, you can literally find anything for any taste. I love the jewelry and the glass pieces as well! Highly recommend :)

Im not an art guy by any means, but this place is exceptional. Its a single room that is covered with an eclectic mix of diverse paintings, glass art and jewelry from all over the world. Its BEAUTIFUL!! My only regret is setting the bar so high for our art expectations so early in our trip. The woman who was working was also super nice and helpful in recommending local places to eat. Great place to spend ~30min and stack this with a trip on the mail boat because theyre right next door to each other. You will not regret it!!!

A wonderful variety of art. Something for all tastes

I work close by, and every now and then I stop by to see whats new. Theres always a nice rotation of great art. The selection is also growing. They had some furniture in there a short while ago and now they have a very affordable jewelry collection. Jen, the owner, obviously loves what she does. She has always been very helpful and knowledgable, without being pushy. With Portland being so creative, Casco Bay Artisans is a welcome addition.

This Gallery is an incredible addition to the Maine art scene. They have art that represents a wide array of genres and a wonderfully curated selection of jewelry. Absolutely something for everyone. What a gem!
