This place is my favorite pier of all of South Florida. Brand new as of 2019. Not a crazy amount of dead fish on it from the people fishing. The evenings are awesome. Great nightlife and awesome places to walk and exercise.

I think the renovated version is amazing. They pier is so much wider. The only true downfall is that they close super early 10pm. Honestly, its a great location, i would highly suggest going even in day time because they have shaded areas and a well-design fishing hole.

Great pier, newly remodeled. Would be a great outing for the family. Currently free to walk and $6 if you wanted to go fishing.

Pompano Beach is unrecognizable and absolutely one of our favorite beaches! The new restaurants and shops located at the pier are what we have needed for a long time. Great location with active people of all ages!

Beautiful, renovated and worth a visit. By night there are stones that glow in the dark and it looks magical. There are great places for some delicious food around the pier and after visiting a restaurant you can go for a walk on the pier. Sadly, no pets allowed on the pier, even though fisherman make more mess than a dog could.

What can I say, its where I met the love of my life. I know that sounds mushy but it took me half of my life to find the one person in the whole world that gets Me.Accepts Me As-Is. and above all else we have absolutely NO Filters between Us.Been together now for 10+ yrs and every day feels like it felt after the 1st yr.Yes most people would have said ... and every day feels like it felt after the 1st day and that would be a lie. Because only after youve spent at least 1yr with another person, you dont really know how you feel.All u can say is go find yours. True Love

New pier on the area, excellent, Is a magical place, now you can use for free, I don’t know for how long time more , you can fishing or enjoy, sunset are so romantic, pics don’t lie

Beautiful sunrises and nice easy parking. Several shops and cafes to choose and a nice promenade to walk along if you don’t want to walk on the beach. They have been rebuilding a lot and adding new restaurants and some gift shops.

Free to site see, charge to fish from pier. Restraunts near bye. Beach with sand and warm water. Plenty of public beach access. Parking nearby for a fee. You can watch the video on YouTube

This is a place to hangout all day, Pompano Beach did a remarkable job. The kids park is really cool, slightly dangerous... but cool non the less. The beach is clean, the pier is something special. They have a splash pad for younger kids. The restuarant close by Pompano Beach House is really good and right on the beach next to the pier. It has the best view of the beach for any restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale or Pompano. Highly recommend space to check out.

The prices are $6 per Fisher not bad and they have red holders which is convenient. The only thing is there is not much of a bait shop there but not a huge deal to me. They have frozen baits like mullet and shrimp. The awnings are nice as well plenty of shade. Great overall experience with restaurants surrounding and cheap parking.

Its a beautiful pier! Very clean, at the moment, free of charge for sight seeing. $7 to fish, and the also have pole rentals, and bait for $26. The guys will set you right up. Very friendly at the gate. Beautiful views, great place to catch the sunrise. Restaurants very close by, on the way into the pier. Its a must see if your in Pompano!!! Cant beat the views. Nice place to have a a little picnic, and bring the kids, or significant other on a date.

Nice place to take a stroll. There are fishermen and people just out for a walk to enjoy the view. Clean, pleasant and free if you are not fishing.

It was 4 yrs since I walked this pier. Then, it was in terrible disrepair. Now, its beautiful with plenty of room for covid visitors and fishermen. There are shaded benches and tackle setup stations, bait prep tables, and more. Nice attraction, the view is tremendous.

Beautiful beach, empty, went there very early and did yoga at the beach and it was really clean. Only concern was the algae that was everywhere! But otherwise really beautiful

Just opened May 2020 at last!! Word of advice is to purchase the yearly pier fishing permit if you plan on visiting regularly. Then its free all year and it allows 10 guests with no additional feesThis new one is modern, solid and beautifully constructed. Also a good selection of restaurants and shops right at the entry

We my wife I love the new pie and the beach is exceptionally clean.

The restaurant, scene and staff were all great. The food and drinks left much to be desired. We ordered the pecan crusted salmon and crab stuffed shrimp. We also tried 2 wines, the breaking waves, sunset vibes, the red sangria, a watermelon cocktail and the Veuve. The champagne was served warm and the cocktails were so-so. While the view was spectacular, and the service was great.. I would not visit again

I grew up on the old pier. You can tell this pier was designed by architects and not fisherman. I gave it 5 stars because the fishing is on point.

Pompano Beach has one of the best piers that stretch out into the Atlantic Ocean. It’s one of my favorite beaches to visit because of that. I love walking out especially at night. And, I hear it has one of the best dive sites for all you divers interested in a recommended area to go diving.

Beautiful area but pier is too new for fishing. No barnacles yet so not a lot of fish hanging around.

Surprised at how nice this place is! The highway drive is crazy spaghetti - but once you get off it and down to the smaller streets, it is very nice. this is a well kept area and great views!

After weeks of planning to convince my wife a visit to the new Pompano pier would interest her as there were new shops and restaurants to see imagine the atmosphere when we reach the cage blocking the pier entrance with a NO TRESPASSING sign, the approach was bad enough as almost every building is under construction, Parking however was all up to date with the pretty pay points all up to date and working just fine.So just to make sure you all havent missed my point, a day at the beach is fine, but believe me Pompano Fishing Pier is Closed, that is not open as advertised on their website which is why I am so miffed. [please change website, open sign to closed as information posted can only be helpful when accurate.

Beautiful pier. Has shade and is very wide for social distancing.

Great fishing from tarpon, Jacks, blue fish, sharks, pompano, snook, and kings. Made friends with the regulars. Good times!

New pier beautiful......with more amenities,,,in line other new florida places Hollywood beach Miami beach......One thing to improve, parking meters....some broken, others do not print receive......But there is an app for parking

Lots of room for everyone and not be shoulder to shoulder. Very clean as well.

We return to Pompano Beach yearly. The beach is manicured, so clean and so are the public bathrooms. It is possible to walk a good few miles, unencumbered in a safe, clean environment. There are parks for the children and a work out area. There are occasional free concerts at night. Good food is available, or picnic with a grill.Try Razzleberries for ice cream, Mora Grill, and Carluccis for pizza.

Not open yet, but it’s coming and I’m ready. Pompano is gorgeous and such a homey feel to it.

September 15th, 2019: Currently closed, no access. The pier is in the final stages of renovation, expected to open October 2019. As part of the renovation, theres a restaurant being constructed between the pier and the sidewalk. If you walk around the restaurant (as I did), youll find no access to the pier itself.

We went 2 weeks ago for a late lunch at Oceanic. Brand new...very lovely. Wine list was very extensive. Menu was ok...nothing special. Service was very good.It is expensive..but youre also paying for eating on the Beach!

We thought the pier was open but it is still closed but it will be open hopefully soon. There were some new restaurants just north of where the pier will be. Also a lot of new construction going on for new restaurants and stores. It will be very busy here once everything is open. Also there is a new playground for the kids.

Full of seaweed and bad rip tide but might just have been a bad day!
