This parking area seems pretty good and relatively secure. Its busy so that makes me feel a little better about the security of the lot and it appears to be in a safe area. No bathrooms at the trailhead that we could find but the trail has many porta-pottys every few miles. The Luce Line trail is a very nice trail, crushed limestone that is almost as smooth rolling as pavement, yet it has no cracks or pot holes. Super fun to ride bikes on if youre into really flat and very straight rails to trails routes.
Long, smooth hard pack dirt / gravel combo. Away from the road
Ample enough parking. No signage pointing the way to the parking lot, no porta-potty, no shelter. Trail information signs located in the opposite direction of the parking lot from the start of the rail.
The trail was fine, not recommended for dog walking on a sunny day. There were too many bikers (not their fault) but the trail was a little tight to accommodate for each direction bikers and walkers
Good trail for biking or walking. Does have a few hills, but is a nice long bike path.
Good place to park if riding the Luce Line east or west. Downside...no portapotty.
Plenty of parking space and right on the trail.
If I remember correctly this Trail is 56 miles long. It used to be a railroad track. It goes all the way to Cosmos Minnesota. Its well-maintained, most of the trial is covered by small rocks. If you just want to bike or jog in a straight line for a while and not worry about directions this Trail is perfect. A lot of interesting things to explore including Lakes, forests, side trails and some Urban scenery.
This is a great place to bike or to walk, either west or east. East is paved and a little more residential, west is more nature-focused, but both are great places to spend time outside.
Good trail for hiking and biking
Best place to run, bike walk, connect with nature and nice folks
Nice access to Luce Line trail
Absolutely one of my favorite places to fun in the Plymouth area!
Excellent trail in both directions.
Favorite running spot. Easy access to Vicksburg
Beautiful tree-lined Trail! I checked it out in the middle of summer and there were a couple of problems with some huge horse flies that attacked me In the Heat of the day. Otherwise my only other complaint is the dirt road on the outskirts of Plymouth. But when she starts to approach the city the trail changes from dirt to Asphalt which is really nice and there are tons of wakes everywhere we can go off of the main path and do a nice bike ride around the mirrored number of lakes. Great City for cycling!
Awesome gravel trail! It goes far out west and the trail is well maintained. Some shady and sunny spots makes it a good trail with variety.
Trail is great! Good soft surface thats well-maintained and good for longer runs. The Hamline Cross Country Team approves!
Great trail. Note that if you head West the pavement becomes a compacted gravel.
Always a good ride, a little wet today
Went cycling with a friend. Make sure to keep in mind that it is a gravel trail, and depending on the day, it can be unridable.
Always fun ride. Just trim back the branches, please!!!!
2 stars because it is out in the open under a highline.
Great access to the trail!
Easy access parking
