We have had great results and experiences with Fusion for both of our daughters that play soccer. The most important Fusion fundamental for us has been paid, non-parent coaches at the competitive level. That takes away the politics of children’s sports. Secondly there is a hierarchy of very qualified program directors above the coaching level that have put in place a solid program of skills development, team spirit, and a positive environment for the kids. We would highly recommend Fusion for children at any level of ability.

Fusion is a great year-round soccer club for our family! Flexible options for both recreational and developmental, variety of coaches and trainers, and great facilities throughout our community. We spend a lot of time on fields in the summer and in the Plymouth Creek Dome during the cold months. Our kids have participated in both the summer and winter rec programs, many camps and clinics, and one player is currently in the development program preparing for competitive soccer. We appreciate the variety of skills and experience from the Fusion SC staff, rotating between licensed coaches, college and high school players, and parents with past soccer experience. #GoFusion We’re proud to #DevelopHere and #LevelUp

Robust program with excellent coaches and administration. These are people who really care about bringing our players to the next level if that is the players/familys goal. For kids that are more in it for fun, they still receive coaching from well trained paid professional coaches. They have an ear to the ground for identifying problems and work hard to fix them. In addition, the culture encourages a kids overall well-being and works hard to maximize a kids potential while still recognizing that these are still kids with multifaceted lives. Great job Fusion!

I have four kids and all 4 have been a part of Fusion and its predecessor (Plymouth Soccer Assn). Ive volunteer coached and reffed for the club. Weve seen it first hand for 16 years now. The club has been through a lot of changes over the years and Ive witnessed first hand the outcome. I can tell you this is one of the best run clubs in Minnesota. Ive read some of the low rated comments and honestly have never seen or experienced anything negative with the club which leads me to believe they are possibly fake posts from competing clubs. You get out of an organization what you put in. You have to have realistic expectations and help your player work hard to improve. Soccer is not all about winning or getting on only the best teams....its about life and your role on improving it. Fusion does things the right way, the ethical way. If it didnt, I would not have spent 16 years with my kids in it. The staff is open to comments. The training and facilities are excellent. Programming is spot on for all levels of training. Its a club deserving of your consideration.

My family has had a great experience with Fusion SC…we have three kids ages 6, 8, and 10 who have participated and continue to take part in the Fusion SC programs (Recreational, Developmental, and Competitive). I have volunteered to coach my kids as they came up through the Development Program and it has been a wonderful experience due to the fact of how organized, helpful, and support the Fusion SC Staff and Coaches are with the kids and with the Parent Volunteer Coaches. Needless to say, Fusion SC has become an influential part our familys life. They focus on the development of my kids’ soccer skills and with the top-notch coaching staff that they have, my kids have grown so much as players thanks to this organization. I am thrilled to have crossed paths with Fusion SC and plan on participating for years to come. Five stars!

All our kids play for Fusion, and though no club is perfect it is a great club to teach kids to play solid competitive soccer. Chad Morse has been a standout coach for us- he is highly skilled as a coach and genuinely cares for the players. He nurtures and challenges the team with amazing enthusiasm, and as a result the players excel at their game while keeping the “fun” and love of soccer alive.

My daughter has been a part of Fusion since the clubs first year of existence. We left MTA as there wasn’t a lot of competitive opportunities at my daughter’s age. We discovered the exact opposite at Fusion. My daughter has had exceptional coaches who focus on in-depth technical training, strategy and the art of being a team. The club takes a holistic approach to soccer. They strive to create a well-rounded athlete by focusing on skills, sports psychology, nutrition and injury prevention training. Everyone from the technical director to the support staff go out of their way to support their players as well as the player’s parents. We would recommend this club to the youngest of players to the most advanced athletes. This fairly-new club is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with!

Fusion has become an integral part of our family. Being new to the area, we chose a club that was closest to us and we are happy that club was Fusion. The coaches and directors take the time to get to know you and your children and they provide positive coaching to ensure that your kids are growing as individuals and as soccer players. Looking forward to many more years being a part of this organization.

Great place to have my son playing. This past year they changed the operation staff and offered year round coaching and training. Ive seen a big improvement in coachs at C2 and C3 levels this past summer. Their goal is to give every player an opportunity to excel (if they want too). I would recommend the club to family and friends. Nicely Done Fusion!

My son has participated with Fusion soccer for rec league, development, and travel. As parents we have coached, managed, and been the biggest sideline supporters. We have seen some up/downs over the years with organization and communication on the next level of play; however, the volunteer coaches, assistant coaches and especially staff coaches have always been excellent. We recommend Fusion!

Fusion Soccer Club has been a great club for our family. The staff and coaches are very supportive and accessible. The addition of the Tonka Fusion Elite program has given my daughter the opportunity to compete at a high level with all the benefits of the other large clubs in the twin cities.

Broke my kid’s heart (and mine). So my son is entering middle school. End of elementary school he started to get bullied by a neighbor. Nothing serious, just this neighbor kid now rides his bus and is in his class and lives next door- so it’s a lot. My son was worried this would be his new norm entering middle school.Enter soccer. My son has played soccer since he was 4. Clubs (in PA), Rec, camps. Every time he is one of the top players. He loves soccer so much. He pours everything into it.I asked him if he wanted to try soccer at Fusion to make a new friend bubble and to ease the transition to middle school. He tried out. Made a few friends who will be going to his school. We SO excited to be there. Then two days later I receive an email that he “is on the waitlist and didn’t make it” Um what? No where did it say that was an option. Literally nothing I read about Fusion said you might try out and you might not make it- I assumed- as with every other club, that everyone makes it- you just are split up into different teams based on skill level.Well I was wrong. Now I have a kid who is so upset he doesn’t want to do anything. No more soccer (yay for the $100 pair of cleats I bought for tryouts and the $45 ball and the $65 fee- all out the window)- he has “banned” soccer from his life. I know that sounds dramatic- but this is a kid that has poured everything into soccer - when he is upset he grabs a ball.... happy? Grabs a ball.... friends come over ? grabs a ball. He feels like soccer let him down and that he “isn’t good enough to play anymore.” He literally said to me “I guess going to middle school means it’s time to grow up and stop playing silly (soccer) games”. How heartbreaking. And a month before the transition to middle school starts. He is so upset. Thanks for reading. I tell this for a few reasons. A. Be aware that you might walk away with nothing. No team. No happy kid.B. Be aware that they do not care that they are telling ELEVEN year olds that they didn’t make a team though MIGHT get chosen if someone drops.C. They rank players at TRYOUTS from previous seasons. Which we didn’t play because are somewhat new to the area. So even if your child has good skills, they might not make it if children from last year fill the team.D. The email about not making it was cold and sad. Be prepared as a parent to tell your child they were not good enough.

We have been a part of the Fusion (previously PSA) family for 8 years now. Both of our sons have participated in the Fusion Development Program and now play on Fusion competitive teams (U10-U13). These Program Directors, Matt VanBenschoten and David Law, have a great team of trainers and coaches that have helped teach our boys the technical and physical skills they need to be better players. They provide ongoing constructive feedback to the players to help them grow on and off the field. There are a lot of dynamics that go into coaching competitive teams. If/when there are any concerns they have always been addressed immediately. Most importantly, our boys really respect their coaches and trainers and enjoy their time with their Fusion families!

Fusion is an outstanding soccer club. Our family happened to start our soccer life when the Fusion Soccer Club first ‘fused’ with the Plymouth & Wayzata clubs back in 2014. Since that time we’ve had five children in Fusion in all their programs: Development, Rec, Travel and Tonka-Fusion Elite. As with any new club there were ‘growing pains’, but we’re so glad we stayed. It’s organized, has great coaches and communicates great. It’s been and continues to be a great experience for our children and our family.

Definitely one of the top Clubs in the state!!! Price is reasonable considering you train year round with top notch trainers/coaches and staff. Personally growing up and playing competitively for Plymouth/Wayzata, I couldn’t be happier with the merge! Whether you are looking for a promising future/career (competitive) or to learn/build/ have fun (recreation) Fusion is your best option in the west/northwest metro area!

Dedicated office operations staff with posted office hours and staff that can be reached not only by email, but by phone. Access to multiple indoor facilities in the cities of Plymouth and Wayzata throughout the winter for consistent indoor training. Top trainers work with all levels of player throughout the winter. Soccer staff has always responded to my inquiries as a parent. Even if I dont agree with every decision, staff has taken time to explain decisions and has always responded. We have overall had good experiences with every spring/summer coach, both for our player who has been on top teams, and also for our player who is not a top team player. Matt Van Benschoten is fantastic as Boys Age-Group Coordinator for 10-13 year olds. Knows all of the boys at that age by name in a very large club.

Over-priced, organization is too big. Cost is ridiculous for what you receive. All the money is spent on overhead and not the kids. They only want to focus on young players u12 and younger so they can rope parents into paying a ton of money over their childhood and get kids to just focus on soccer instead of being well rounded athletes.

My child was not allowed to play in their age group. We played Rec, we went to camps, we played competitive twice. EVERY TIME she was assigned to a team that was 1-2 years OLDER than her age group or then 1-3 years YOUNGER. When we contacted Fusion, politely, we were told to stick it. Not very friendly at all. A child playing in their age group is a basic expectation as a parent of a soccer child. I dont really understand how you run an orginization this way. Its a fail on basic soccer. They seem very antagonistic towards parents and have a very arrogant attitude. I dont get it. Its a fail in communication. In none of their info meetings nor in any communication did they say that ages will be combined. Its not 1-2 kids its 70% of the team is a completely different age by more than a year. This does not help a child develop their skills. Im very disappointed in them. We had high hopes. They are dishonest in their advertising, info meetings, they are rude in their communication when you simply ask for clarification (from high up people in the Club). Its totally bizarre to me. The only conclusion I can make is they dont care. Unless your child is Academy/Elite -- they take your money and treat you like dirt. You ask a polite question, hey howcome my child cant play with their own peers? and you get told to STICK IT. Bizarre. You cant discuss anything with anyone, its all very secretive and they play favorites. I think parents should think long and hard about being in a Club that is this disorganized and rude. Basic friendly communication is not hard.

(Full disclosure...Weve had bad experiences with Fusion boys players in the past when my son played for another club.) But, were giving it a go with a top team there this year (hard to find teams for older boys, our local club doesnt have one). Thus far, weve been welcomed, received much communication, almost immediate replies to questions... Yes its a very expensive club. And the uniforms are at the top end as well. But as were joining at this late date for the coming season, I cant say a single negative thing about the experience.

This is a scam team. First they tell you the admission is $65,00 and then they charge you that fee but few days latter they send you the quote of $800.00 for 8 moths, which is a rip off. Also the coaches are not professional, they are the parents who volunteer and they are not trained at all. Would not suggest this team and please tell everyone about it, or call them and figure out on your own,

If youre kid is a C1 or premier player then this is probably an OK club. Anything less its terrible. No practice time (reserved for C1/premier) and they charge way more than other clubs. Very discouraging and they dont seem to care. Take your C2/C3 players to Orono, Maplebrook, Mtka, or anywhere else.I will also say it does have a good rec program.

This club cares only about money, and charges way too much for what you get. They also screw over less skillful players with the age brackets, and furthermore, my team was put into a higher skill level than we were supposed to be. Fusion doesnt care about the players at all, only about money.

Our experiance in the rec league was a huge dissapointment. There program is not as advertised or promised. With the exception of the initial 3 weeks, the balance of the year the team was coached by parental volunteers that did not pass the concussion tests or back ground checks. Fusion promised coaches and staff to help out, but they never showed up. TheI program is an ethical and financial scam.
