Its been a couple years since weve been to TriWay (we live in Elkhart, about an hour away) we were not disappointed in our visit. We had no problems with the staff or the rules or anything and had a really good time. If we were closer we probably would come more often.

BEFORE YOU GO HERE!!!My family and friends drove roughly 5 hours to view the Metallica concert and we had absolutely NO ideal they close their gates at 10. There are no signs, nothing on facebook, nothing on their website. We spent over 600 dollars and drove 5 hours. To be rejected at 10:10. I explained to them we drove 5 hours and got stuck in some traffic. They still did not care. 10 minutes, 10. And they couldnt open their gate.

Movies were great. As far as staff and theater setup Completely terrible. Concessions closed before the 1st movie was done. So many posts and poles to weave through trying to get in and out, on the exit they have “speed bumps” on a gravel road that just lay there, on the way out the speed bumps aren’t bolted down so they got pushed together as I pulled out and stuck underneath my car to where my wheels were off the ground. And to finish it all off I had car issues when I pulled in and was told if I couldn’t get it running or had a way to get it off the entrance/exit lot before 10 the owner was going to tow it (it was 8:30 when I had issues).

My friend and I went to see the kane brown concert on Sept 26th which was $60 per car. The first attendant was pretty rude barely wearing his face mask (touching every cars food/drinks to throw them onto the road including peoples leftovers from dinner) then not washing/sanitizing his hands in between. My friend had to wait nearly an hour missing most of the concert to get popcorn so we could have something to eat, then when I tried to go to the bathroom it was flooded with toilet water with tiny stalls that didnt even lock. (The bathrooms are in the same building as the kitchen)

The drive-in experience is one-of-a-kind. Due to Covid, they have been playing older movies. Dirty Dancing, Grease, Jurassic Park, Jaws, Twister, The Lost Boys. Weve been going for over 20 years, and it never gets boring. Support one of the last few enjoyments of a dying era.

Tried calling in for a day ahead to see if they accept $100 bills, but no on answered (I called multiple times) I also checked their website it says nothing about not accepting $100 bills. So I decided to take a chance and drive from South Bend (30 minute drive) so I get there and wait in line and my fiancé has a drink that we had to throw out because we didn’t want to pay the extra for it. So we get to the booth and ask for 4 tickets (2 kids 2 adults) and I pull out my $100 bill which is all I had. The lady says they don’t accept $100 bills and I asked if there was anyway they can help me out and she said no. So she then proceeded to tell the security guard or gate attendant to open the gate for us cause “we don’t have any money to pay” which isn’t true because i had money they just wouldn’t accept it. I then comment on a post of theirs the next day to state what went on and they deleted my comment. I then posted another comment asking why was my comment deleted, they went on a rant saying it was my fault and that I could’ve gone to a atm 2 miles away from their location (which I wasn’t told) and even if I was told I wouldn’t be able to make the movie on time because it was about to start when I arrived. They then deleted my comment again. Terrible customer service, and rude employees. They should start answering their phone and reply to messages on their Facebook page and there wouldn’t be problems like this.

My wife and sons went to Tri-Way last night and it was an absolutely horrible experience. While we were waiting in line on the highway we were approached by an old security guard who was so rude. We asked him if he knew what was playing and just told us ‘Check yourself, that isn’t my job’. Then, the lady at the tickets was so hard to understand (apparently a manager which you can read about later). I had to ask her a few times to repeat herself to make sure the total was correct (and it wasn’t at first). When we get inside, we waited in line at concessions for 30 minutes to get our order. I don’t know if this is due to the new Covid rules in place or not out there. The only positive experience was that the food was good. We went back up there later that night and the lady we first encountered at the ticket booth interrupted the cashier (a young teenage girl) from taking my order. I had a hard time understanding what she was saying, but clearly heard her call the teenager a brat. What manager would do this? An adult got involved in this and I saw him talking to her while she was raising her voice. After that, my order was done and I moved so I don’t know what happened after that. All I can say is if that is how management treats their employees, it is disgusting and poor leadership. Needless to say my family and I will not be going back and will never recommend anyone going to such a horrible establishment.

Worst drive in experience ever. Had no clue about the food permit that costs 10 dollars to bring in food, the place makes you feel like an inmate. Every time security walks past, there’s a new rule. The pamphlets they give out for rules say one thing then they try and do different. It is absolutely awful. I watched a worker chase down a lady because she wasn’t parked in the right location and yelled and screamed at her. Insanity. We will never be back. Wabash is 10x better

Great little place. You can watch two movies for the price of one at any ordinary movie theater. It is wonderful to be able to enjoy the outdoors and the movie at the same time. The only downside is that the concession stand prices are a little high, however, the only profit they really get is from the concession stand, so if you want the drive-in theater to stick around (which I do) you will pay the high prices. Imo, the cost is worth the experience.

WAS A BLAST. met a couple we parked next to that were frequent drive in goers and this was their 1st trip to Tri Way also and they LOVED it! We got there at 7 15 pm — line was already started to get in! Movie time was 835 but was still admitting people in so didn’t start til about 915 but we didn’t care :) great company. Got pretzels and drinks popcorn and cotton candy!! All great!!! Movie QA was super. We brought our big portable speaker that has radio option which really was awesome in the back of the truck —-About the place:This place has 4 screens and shows 2 movies per screen which I was like won’t the other movie noise interrupt ours. NOPE. not at all!!! It was awesome to also see the younger generation here watching movies and I truly hope the 1 good thing that comes out of Covid 19 is possibly outdoor theatres like this making a comeback!!Suggestions : if you have a truck—- either air mattress in the back or lawn chairs. Was AMAZING.If your battery dies —- the nice workers inside do have a portable charger box.A lot People do leave After the 1st movie which was a distraction bc a lot of people didn’t shut headlights off. We were at screen 1 which was a main aisle out. But overall was awesome. People were overall very respectful about not being loud or honking etc.Going back tonight— weather permitting!!!!

Sadly, we were told at entry that masks were required inside the concession stand and restrooms- but not in our vehicle or bed of our truck. Well, that’s not true. We even told the lady we only had two masks and would share them if using the restroom. We paid and went inside the drive in. Paid $50 for popcorns and drinks, while wearing masks and returned to the vehicle. We were approached by a man who told us we had to have our masks on (even though we were eating popcorn?) while watching the movie. Really? It’s our truck. It’s also outside. There’s like 3 car spots before the closest car is parked- we asked him why Since we were in our own vehicle, he replied that he was a scientist and had a PhD and has done a lot of research on COVID. Whatever. Sad that we drove 40 minutes and there was no mention on their FB page that masks were required to watch the movie, especially for my little ones!

People are unfortunately trying to weaponize their reviews, in stark contrast every time Ive been here its been a great time, prices are reasonable considering that you are getting to movies on a relatively low cost, and the concession prices are fair knowing thats where they make their money. Understand the car inspection as people will sneak in a ton of things the place cant have on grounds. Prices are normal for a theater, as they make all of their money on this. I liked they did IT chap 1 & 2 and played it in order. Im always searching for non-family programming and interesting programming choices and classic screenings, rather than just the safe family films all the time. Growing up I loved watching horror movies on the drive in screen. Thanks for staying open.

The tri-way was well-labled, and easy to get into.We went to the concession stand before the show to get food (they charge you if you bring in your own food - which I get it) and the lights were out in both bathrooms. They said the A/C went out, and the bathroom lights were on the same circuit, so no lights, but we all used our phone flashlights, so no biggie. So without the A/C, it was easily over 100 degrees and sticky in the concession building. We stood in line for over 45 minutes to order, and then another 25 minutes for them to fill our order (3 sodas). They dont have speakers so you can sit outside your car. And the bathrooms were a joke. The ladies room didnt have hand soap and none of the locks worked on the stalls. And only 2 stalls had toilet paper. The screen (#4) was dirty. “Security” in the line totally ruined the night out with the family tonight. Totally rude and power drunk. Tri-Way has no idea how much money they just lost because of him. We always purchase the food permit and buy things at the concession stand to help support them. Simple courtesy from their “security” would go a long way. Will not be back after being long time customers.EDIT: Tri-way responding for me to message them and make it right is hollow. We decided to go back since I switched jobs.None of the parking attendants/security enforce any rules. There were large vehicles parked in every row, people sitting on top of their vehicles, people laying out blankets and taking up entire parking spots with them, all sorts of smoking outside of their vehicles around other people. The concessions were very poorly ran, they ran out of numerous things before intermission. The line was so long I waited until the movie started to try and get concessions for my family. My wife told me I was gone for 35 minutes. As far as searching the vehicle all I saw them do was pop peoples trunks or rear hatches, which was at most a 15 second process. We will not be going back which is sad because I started going there as a kid. This drive in has the nostalgia associated with old time drive-in movie theaters, the lot is fairly well maintained though the childrens play area could use a little updating. The food is priced a little high but fair price for quality recieved considering they are a local business that survives from food comissions. Inside is clean, including the bathrooms which was a little surprising considering the average cleanliness of local business. The downside being they no longer have personal speakers for each spot just one off the main building that doesnt do the movies justice. You almost must leave your car running for entire movie to listen through the radio or your experience is severely deminished. All in all a decent experience.

Of course, theyre also the kind to have a no firearms and no weapons allowed. Once inside, food from concessions is so overpriced its practically Disneyland prices for slums quality. the layout is confusing, theres no signs, its always trashy due to lack of cleaning and trash cans being few and far between. the screens themselves are not very big at all, and if you see my picture, dirty. Very cramped, despite being so large. You are not allowed to bring food or drinks in unless you have a permit to do so.There is a concession stand with just about everything you can think of, with picnic tables for viewing with friends. There is a playground for the kids to play before the movie too.

Great experience bringing family. Only thing that bugged me was the playground equipment was a tad dated but appeared all right. Kids loved it! Just wished I wouldve brought a battery powered radio since my car died the last few minutes of the second movie. Lesson learned!

This drive in is disgustingly incognitoly indiscriminately awful and i cant even broThey told me i could not be admitted unless i were to allow them to tear my vehicular automobile apart peice by peice. When they opened my glove compartment they tackled me to the ground and very indiscriminately told me that i was under arrest for bringing an unconcealed weapon into a public facility. He then held a paper clip in front of me and stabbed it into the top of my left shoulder socket. I was then arrested and taken to jail where i was sentences to 18 months with no possibility of parole . Then they violently ripped me out of my loving home and placed me in a cell where i was held for 18 months. Ugh so totes dumb am i right like omgg bro

Great experience to have, consession stand needs more staff took a hour and a half to get food, make shur you double check with the ticket booth for the movie because online doesnt allways get up dated we went to to watch the fast and the ferrious and ended up watching the Lion King which turned out great but left a third of the way through toy story. Over all it beats the indoor theaters because you have the comforts of your own car. The projecters look upgraded in video quality since my last visit also, drive ins are a dying thing that I hope stays around.

This is a cool place, they have three screens and a lot of parking spots. The staff is friendly, they do check your vehicle quickly to make sure that you are not bringing any outside for or drink into the area. There is a playground for kids to play before the movies start. The concession stand is busy and the lines are long, but the popcorn is good. The restrooms are well maintained. The only thing that was bad was that a quarter of the way through the movie the radio station picked up a different signal and everyones car speakers were playing the theme song from Cheers! But the problem was resolved quickly.
