The ship is impressive, especially when you realize the number of passengers (102) not counting 2 dogs, chickens and pigs that shared the space with them.It really hits you how persevering they were. The crew are well versed about the ship and the cordage in 1620. Well worth a visit ! For the kids the us a pulley set up to demonstrate their effectiveness.

Very nice replica of the Mayflower 2 ship. You can go inside and on board but have to pay. Also you get a time slot just to go into the ship and see first hand. Very nice to see how the pilgrims sailed to america.

Interesting to see the replica, but the information provided by the various staff really makes the Mayflower II worthwhile! You really need to ask questions to get the best effect. The staff will tell you some information, but if you ask questions, they really open up with great details. We enjoyed it and highly recommend it!

I love this part of Plymouth (recommend the plantation also) its a great walk with reasonable parking right on the water front. Plenty of shops and places to eat, a revitization seems to be happening. Pleasant place to take a good long walk and have beautiful scenery, rich with culture and history. If you want to see art or more history there are a few meuseums and galleries a few blocks away. Almost like an amusement park on the harbor :)

Although the boat was in great condition, my rating reflects our experience and disappointment with how information was shared and what we learned during our visit. We went with the expectation that actors would be in character sharing stories of their experience on a historic journey. Instead, we talked to folks who had brought the boat over from Mystic; information shared was mostly technical and focused on specs of the boat with a few details of what happened on the boat historically, but it felt more like a lecture than a step back into time. My family, the adults and children, were disappointed. Our 5 and 7 year old had enjoyed talking to folks at Plimoth Plantation earlier in the week and were hoping for more of the same on the Mayflower II. When information is presented to children in the form of a story, as if its present day, it is as if youre speaking their language, that of stories, allowing them to really engage and understand. If you want to go see a ship and hear facts about its voyage, then I guess it might meet your expectations. In a world where facts are easily accessible by book and the Internet, it seems to me now more than ever, an engaging living history museum would truly be of value. I hope the staff considers this before completely discontinuing the use of their characters.

As a history buff I love going to see the Mayflower 2 it is currently out of town for a while being redone. It is really exciting to be coming up on 2020 and to live in a town like Plymouth. When the boat is back I highly suggest you come to town and look around at all the attractions!

Mayflower 2 is a great place to see how much of a rough voyage it was for the pilgrims to cross the Atlantic to Plymouth. Of course, its not a full size replica, mind you. And watch your head as you go below decks. Its easy to imagine the dark, cramped and filthy conditions the pilgrims endured, not to mention the seasickness and diseases. Theyve just got it back from major repairs and overhaul and its in fine shape. If you see the longboat tied up near Mayflower, thats called the shallop, and was used to bring landing parties ashore. Let me tell you, that shallop weighs a ton and is no easy thing to row.

Great replica of the actual Mayflower that the pilgrims rode on here! Havent been on here, but is astonishing just to see! Feel free to buy tickets and go inside of this boat of history! Even though it is not the actual boat, is was purposely designed to look like it! If in Plymouth, you shouldnt miss seeing the replica of the Mayflower!

The ship was tiny! It was an old wine ship used to move wine casks around the coasts of England. The Pilgrims were reading the first English Bible. The Queen of England and then King James made it illegal to have a Bible written in English. The Monarchy wanted complete control of the people. The Bible tells us truth! We all may have Freedom and Liberty from tyranny like those who want to outlaw religious freedom. The Pilgrims risked everything to escape England and start a new life in America. Out of 102 persons who arrived in the new world...44 died in that first cold winter. Most were the mothers who covered the children at night to save them from the bitter cold.Would you be willing to sacrifice all in order to have your freedom to read your Bible? Maybe soon we will have to once again the way most in this country are so Anti-Bible and Christ. Something to consider.

I was expecting there to be more actors but we did get there right as they opened so we might have missed them. The first non actor gentleman on deck was extremely informative the lady down below deck was more shut in terms of giving information and the actors were very good in their roles and got a couple of chuckles out of everyone. I still cant believe how small the boat is (with 100+ people on board).
