Amazing pool and facility. A little far from my house in Rowlett, but well worth the time and effort. My first swim in over 3 months, so I will see how I feel tonight and possibly worse when I wake up tomorrow. Great deal at 29.00 per month!!!

Love this place but wish they would do more about maintaining the dirt trail system as small as it is and stop removing pieces and parts of it. Plus they need to stop with all the paved trails and use gravel. Doesnt stop you from walking but will be better for the environment and help with all the drainage issues the cement sidewalks have caused. Plus too mush trash in the woods from all the adventure line and other folks. Used to not be so trashy before that went in.

This Recreation Center offers a very comprehensive choices of activities. The location is near 75 hwy so its convenient. The swimming pool is the best for lap swimming, however, that means it often is taken up by swim lessons. There are still lanes open for public, just a lot fewer and you will have to share with others in your lane. They started to offer more badminton times spreadijg in 4 days a week after their remodeling in 2018. It is very popular.

Great prices, friendly staff, wonderful facility, well kept equipment. Having community recreation centers like these are really great to see. When big name brand gyms are charging $50-100 per month its nice to see a facility that gives you what you need without too much flash and at a fair price.

Probably the best of the recreation centers in Plano. Friendly staff and facilities that are well-maintained. The pools are large and super-safe; there are many life guards on-duty at all times, and they make sure everyone is having fun while also staying safe.

This has been my go to rec center in Plano, the fitness areas are nice with a wide array of machines and free weights although it can get a bit crowded if you come at a busy time. If youre looking for a large selection of equipment this has been the best that Ive found of the Plano recs! The outdoor pool has a volleyball net and 3 large slides to go down as well as some more shallow areas with fountains for kids. They also have indoor pools with a slide but I havent used them yet.

The second best recreation center in Plano (Tom Muehlenbeck is slightly better) but this place is still amazing. Its 17$ for a month membership which includes gym, pools, courts, and everything else there. I highly recommend going here instead of a gym, the employees are friendly and the AC is plentiful in the summer time. Outside/inside pools are great for the kids or kids at heart.

Great array of activities and classes to take, good equipment, although there arent many workout machines or lockers for the amount of people that workout there. Also, one of the ladies that helped us at the front had kind of an attitude, and when we tried to check out ping pong equipment, they told us that someone had checked out both pairs already (there are only 2 tables) just general experience couldve been better cause of the crazy amount of people there.

Oak Point Rec has a great workout facility, but many cell phones will not work inside certain areas of the gym. Im not sure if this is because the way it was designed or possible the thick concrete walls, but I wish they had a free wifi connection that members could share while they workout. As a T-Mobile customer I am unable to use my data plan while Im in this facility so listening to music on Amazon is out of the question unless you have the music downloaded to your phone .

Website has significant details missing. It doesnt say pool is closed from 12-1. It also doesnt say the leisure area of the pool (the place for kids) is closed in the morning. The phone tree is beyond miserable. It is simply impossible to speak to a human being without driving to this location. Its probably a nice place but we didnt get to use what we wanted to. Save yourself some effort. If you have kids - dont come with them until you figure out ALL the logistics. This place doesnt make it easy to ask questions or get good information.

So far Im totally enjoying using this facility, it has just reopened. I was a member of one of the bigger gym chains £*=Fitn@$$ and although no complaints I just felt I was being grossly overcharged especially considering I would have to wait on a racquetball court or swim lane quite often. I researched Oak Point and saw that for the same yearly fee the other place charge l can sign my entire family up for that amount and we will have access to all the centers in Plano. So far there is no wait and because I go at 5am, Im not bothered by a lot of children. So far its a win/win and Ive even gotten my sister-in-law and niece to join.

This was my first visit back after the remodel. Everything looks great. The workout area is probably six or seven times as large as it used to be, and is stocked with all new equipment.. The staff was a bit brusque today, but they were dealing with customers as well as construction crew still on site. The restrooms and locker are are very clean but, sadly, they do not have electronic combination locks on the lockers, so bring a padlock.

My ONE star is for to preschooler program; it isabout a particular guy in charge (of preschool kids) - the one that always a a red shirt. Anyway, tried to get him to explain the family restroom rule s but he was really rude about it. The facility only has one family restroom with two showering area. It was explained (my kids have been taking lessons there for months so I know the rules well) that only parent with opposite sex kid over 3 can use that restroom due to the limitations. There are many new parents enrolling each session taking the same sex of kids as them in there. I asked the instructor to go in and explain because many kids were shivering waiting for the two showers. Instead, their parents could have taken them to the male or female side which has many more showers available. He just told me NO that he is not going in there to clarify. Very uncaring, rude and immature to be put in charge of that section in my opinion. Several time I see him flirting with the new girl instructors before starting of the class. Those girls were very inexperienced and always have no idea how to teach compared to other Plano aquatic facilities. The 6-12 years old groups, however, was more organized. The directors were more mature and caring. Instructors in charge of that group also are more experienced and able to really teach the kids compared to the other side.

Great clean pools inside and outside. Outside pool great for kids. Its designed as a splash pool with slide. There are lounge chairs to sun and picnic tables available. Inside pool is huge. There is a separate shallow area for children with a slide. The large pool is designed for laps and goes up to 14 feet with a diving board. Pool is heated to about 83 degrees year round. Restrooms and showers are accessible on the pool level. The top level has a full gym but I have not perused it yet.

Of course the new remodel looks great. The cardio and weight rooms look nice, open and airy. But there seems to be a few glaring omissions, which I hope will be corrected. Its possible its not completely finished and they will still add these things, but...In the cardio and weight room, there is NO WATER FOUNTAIN in sight!!! Have to walk all the way to the gym. Also, there is not a single clock anywhere. Finally, there are no hooks or coat racks to hang stuff. The other rec centers have these things, so Im really scratching my head. Like I said, Im hoping these things get added, but I saw no spot for a water fountain or coat racks. Well see.

I dont workout at this location often, but it I might start to. This facility was recently renovated and the layout is very well done - weight room and cardio area are separated and the overhead lighting is really neat.Glad there is a barbell rack at this location, in addition to a Smith machine. They also have a corner unit of the Precor function fitness Queenax, and plenty of free weights and kettlebells.I wish the leisure pool and lap lanes were a bit separated, right now its one giant room for all swim activities.
