Great museum. Lots to see. For covid they are doing scheduled viewings so very safe

The museum had a very thoughtful exhibit called She Shapes History. I met a lot of the early activists that I had never even heard of before. In those days the technology of the day was the bicycle.  It was a new invention and gave women unprecedented freedom of movement.The determined women who have gone before us, and the occassional man who joined in, persevered against all odds and opposition ranging from women who opposed them to the men in power. There were women who refused to vote even after that battle was grudgingly won.Janet Rankin was a special find. She was addressing audiences, running for elected office  and making speeches in 1917. In 1968 she led a march against the Viet Nam war.We have a similar and perhaps no less difficult fight before us now. They faced many difficulties but did not have to deal with massive corporations. People in those days turned out for speeches and debates. Each time brings its own problems and its own solutions.I just thought you might like to see some pictures of our political ancestors. I really felt like I was hanging out with them for the afternoon.The women in the picture were on the cover of a magazine called the Suffragette.  It sold for a nickel a copy. Great little museum, especially for children, but a little of everything. Education focus.

Surprisingly and unexpectedly delightful museum and aquarium.

We visited to see the Da Vinci travelling exhibit which was excellent. The rest of the museum provides a view into local innovators (many more than I was aware of) plus a natural history museum focused on local items. Some interesting exhibits that test your knowledge of bird calls. Also there is a nice small aquarium area in the basement.

It was awesome, twists and turns made finding things fun. The mini aquarium the kids enjoyed. The cost was ok , ebt card members need to take advantage of the discounts. Well worth the trip. Hands on as well

Very informational little museum.It doesnt take more than a few hours to visit this museum but it was really interesting. Interacting with the Davinci machine replicas was amazing. Great to visit on a rainy day.

I have a soft spot in my heart for community museums. The Berkshire museum has a small basement aquarium/reptiles section, and several floors of displays. I think my favorite part, though, is the fact that they do a variety of educational lectures and different educational programs.

This is a small local, museum. It would be good for families with children as they have an entire innovation center geared towards youth. They also have a little aquarium with tanks of fish, local reptiles and snakes in the basement.The ground floor also has the biology section with stuffed animals and minerals.The upper floors have art and sculpture, much of it donated by the Crane family of Crane paper fame.My favorite things, the native American lacrosse sticks and the mummy.Plan on a couple of hours.

This is a wonderful, medium sized museum with a wide and rotating scope of exhibits. Theres also a small aquarium in the basement. The rotating exhibits are pretty interesting, but the real gems here are the permanent sections.

Awesome staff who are friendly and very helpful/knowledgeable, clean environments, highly educational exhibits for both young and old, reasonable prices in the gift shop. A great place to either go as a group or to just wander aimlessly throughout. Tons of local and worldwide historical exhibits like mummies and antique clocks, Dont miss the Looney Tunes exhibit here for a limited time and see the history of the most iconic Amercian cartoon show and come and see also our own National Womens month exhibit for a truly exemplary historical account of the perseverance of the Womens rights movement and see our own Native American authentic Wigwam in the exhibit next to the Womens Month exhibit. Tons to see and too much to list here, come have fun and maybe, just maybe, learn some fun facts to stump your friends, co-workers and family.

Makes a good day for kids. There is building blocks to use and lots interactive exhibits for kids too.

Small, but interesting museum. Good place to take a child for an hour or so. They do run interesting programs from time to time.

Like every year the PJ Night at The Museum is a great activy. Not o ly give all kids opportunity to visit the museum but enjoy different types of books read by all kind of people that are part of our community.

Fun place with a serious side. Nice little aquarium. Lots for kids to get involved with throughout the facility. Serious art for adults. The best of the Berkshires juried exhibit was stunning. Even purchased one of the paintings. Well worth a visit if in the area.

Had a great afternoon exploring the Festival of Trees. Spent a few hours checking out the other exhibits and playing. Great way to spend some time together as a family.

Many hands on activities, interactive exhibits, and fun surprises. The kids had a great time and i was impressed with their collection.

Wonderful time and very interesting

First time here and I must admit it was well worth the visit. I’m still trying to find hidden gems in this city I’m not overly familiar with and this is certainly one of them. Has exhibits to keep the whole family interested. It’s not a huge museum but we spent well over an hour there. Maybe 2. There are educational displays for adults, activities for kids and plenty of traditional museums items. But there’s also a unique mix of art, science and natural history. I’m looking forward to going back when I have more time to sit and read everything.

A great museum with different things through out the year.

Exceptional place. The statues were great but the exhibit of the plates was my favorite.

Ive driven by the place a hundred times and never visited. Brought my little guy to see Wally the stegosaurus and had a great time. For a small museum, they have an aerospace exhibit (with paper rockets to build and launch), mummies, a STEM area and miniatures built by a local sculptor. Very cool and close to home.

Really good museum with a little bit of everything. Right now there is an exhibit of DaVinci machines.

My family had a great time! The hands-on(!) DaVinci machines and contraptions were the highlight, but we enjoyed other exhibits as well. I especially liked the collection of shoes from different times and places.

I bring my 4 year old daughter all the time. She loves it. It never gets old for her.

A really good science museum, especially for kids. Lovely story times for little ones. Becomes a movie theater in the evenings that is one of the best around.

Very cool exhibits. Animals downstairs are for the most part in good condition.

My 10 yr old was reluctant to go, but once there he had so much fun. Lots of cool things to see and do. His favorite was the wigwam and Davincis tank. It was a great homeschool field trip.

Some exhibits were closed. Which was not mentioned to us when purchasing our admissions. We were told that there were some classes on field trips, we didnt realize that meant some of the exhibits would be almost inaccessible to us. One of the staff members was incredibly accomadating, knowledgeable, and friendly but our trip today was on a bit disappointing.

My kids love to go for the hands on areas , my daughter whos 12 loves the art areas , my son whos 4 likes the aquarium.I do have issues with how they keep their snakes .. they have 3 large snakes in a small aquarium, together with no places to hide or anything., they also seems to keep other reptiles in very small enclosures, id like to see them take better care of their animals

A very pleasant surprise. This museum is packed with stuff; an aquarium in the basement, two floors of natursl history exhibits, and a museum of innovation. Well worth the time and admission price.

This is a great museum for young kids. My 4yo and 2yo loved the aquarium and enjoyed the animal exhibits.

Historical place to visit, the culture was very different, definitely an experience, friendly people, the aquarium was small, looking for a lil bit more

A bit if a managerie of items on display ... Well it was interesting to see what would be next. Liked the Leonardo exhibit really informative and a great way to spend a rainy day. Really its a kids museum but that didnt stop us from enjoying it (no kids along)Aquarium was interesting too.

Great museam for kids and adults. The aquarium down stairs has lots of variety and they do a touch tank for the kids ( call for time of day) they also have lizards and snakes, spiders and frogs. Up stairs is more art and mummy and sculptures. A kids play area when u first walk in. I drive 50 min to get there and have been 3x. Worth the drive and $

They have a nice aquarium, and a lovely marble room upstairs!

My girlfriend and I spent so much time watching the animals. It was a lot of fun. We got in for free with a pass from my local library.

Great Festival of Trees for Christmas; wonderful exhibit of National Geographic photos. Check out Little Cinema... Some great Indie films.

Beautiful museum. A lot to see for a rather small space. Everything is well-organized and interesting. We had to take two afternoons to see everything properly with the kids. The Da Vinci exhibit was excellent.

Museum is interesting, many intriguing displays but often on the random side. Were definitely waiting for their reinvention, not totally optimistic but certainly hopeful. We had many fun visits when our kids were young. Now were looking forward to treating our grandchildren.

The museum itself is really great to bring the kids to learn and experience new ideas. Unfortunately, some of the larger exhibits are not open due to the Federal governments shutdown Hopefully this will change, as I just dropped $75 on a family membership!

Great spot for the kids, and adults too

Saw the newest exhibit with my family and had a blast. There are so many interactive displays and hands on learning for everyone.

Great exhibit on Leonardo da Vincis machines and mechanisms, plus a cool little aquarium too!

Loved the innovation exhibit. The Christmas tree exhibit was nice as well as the aquarium.

We get a membership so that we can come on rainy days and theres always something new that stands out to us as well as many wonderful interactive activities for the kids. Their favorite is the small aquarium downstairs, though it has barely changed since I was a kid. Many rooms are the same as they have been for decades but they also have fascinating new displays coming through all the time. Love going to shows in the theater with the kids, a great intro to the stage.

Its a nice place but its a vert small museum. Only one piece of work there truly awed me. Other than that its a one stop museum.

I love it. They had plenty to look around that. Many interactive kinds of exhibits fun for kids and adults. There was really cpnvient hours. There was a wide variety of exhibits too. No food there though, but its smack dab in the middle of a small little town, so you could find something to eat easily.

What a great place! I wish Id known about this before. So many exhibits in so many different categories with plentiful specimens and information plus interactive displays for all ages. If youre like me and need to stop periodically, there are plentiful parking spots through the museum. Camera friendly, too. I plan to come back.

Had some very interesting temporary shows. Would like to see more artwork. Did enjoy our visit.

Very cool place to take kids, they can get in a teepee, see some poison dart frogs and see glowing rocks. Do this on the next cold day.

Great place for family fun.

They have natural history, science, technology and art exhibits that are very well thought out and suitable for all ages. Takes 1-2.5 hours to go through. Only complaint is trying to find parking for it is sometimes difficult because its right on the main strip and there is no parking lot.

Great exhibits. I greatly enjoy the animals. They do an amazing job with the displays and answering questions.
