You can find this place as either “Rhawnhurst Recreation Center” or “Pelbano Playground”.The reasons for 3 stars are:- courts in really bad conditions- few places with shade (toddlers area gets a good shade late in the afternoon)- few benches- playground equipments are limited, (specially in the big kids area): no spinners, spring riders, 1 slide- no inclusive equipments (for instance, inclusive swing seats)Pros- there’s a splash playground (actually is a giant sprinkler, but does it’s job)- huge field where kids can play ball, fly kite, or just run around- option for both toddlers and big kids- easy, free parking

They added the water fountain (waterPark like enjoyment for kids) and kids love it. Nice place for children to play.

Clean but when I went to see about the gym the woman told me I had pay for the gym where the exercise equipment is and the basketball courts on the Inside was closed to the public because they have schools that come to use them. How is a public recreation center closed to the public that pay taxes ? And the little exercise equipment you have to pay to use ? And no hoops on the outside for my daughter to practice her basketball apparently they have been taken down. Idk rec needs to reevaluate somethings here. Only thing we could do is use the kiddie slides that’s about it . Sad this is my closet rec :-/

Nice park. Small kids play areas but fine. Pretty empty during the day so you can go ahead and play without too many people or other children. Nice so far.

Absolutely gorgeous playground and community center type park. Great indoor basketball court.

A cute spot to bring the kids, they have a play area and a sprinkler spot. You can also play basketball and theres a field for baseball, soccer, or football. Be sure to time your visit correctly because you may visit at a time the rec center is closed so no restrooms.

Went with my 17 month old grandson. Was nice area for the little ones which is separate from the older children area. We enjoyed

They need to dust. The kids are in there platinum g basketball with all that dust swirling around atop the gym.

Nice rec center. My children attended this rec centers Pre-K program. Hands down the best Pre-K school in all of NE Philly.

Had a Girls Softball Game. Field done nicely. Not inside rec part.

Never been inside the recreation center, but there is plenty to do outside especially for kids. There is a little playground where they can go on the slides. Summertime they have sprinklers for them to play in. They have a big baseball field where they have leagues playing. Overall good area to bring your kids to have some fun.

The gym is always clean for the kids to play basketball

The bathrooms are clean the inside is clean part is I was little children they could use some of the equipment to be up-to-date for the children To play.

Its clean and has plenty to do plus the rec center was ACTUALLY open which was surprising considering many parks dont open theres but this one did and it has snack machines and bathrooms available its a nice place to visit to relax and get the kids out into the sun.

It is an excellent place with really nice people.

The parking lot is for the senior center, but is used by everyone. People park in NO PARKING areas and nothing is done about it. Free for all parking.

I went for a youth basketball game. Clean gym and bathrooms.

My daughter is a In the 4-5 year old pre-K class and I absolutely love it! I love the teachers and I would recommend his pre-K to any parents who are considering. I will be putting her in some of their sports this upcoming year.

Love to go to this field and watch my nephew crush the competition in football

The parking lot is very dark ! I talked with some of the staff about the poor lighting and they said it was not the rec. Centers fault ! Someone is going to get hurt in the parking lot !
