Great place to visit. Two picnic area pavilions, a beach and hiking trails. Well kept, kudos to the Rangers.

Great place to spend outdoor family time. Also a comfortable atmosphere for birthdays, family reunions, etc. There are public restrooms and shelters during the open season. Also have a park ranger on during open hours so its a safe environment!

My brother caught a bass in less than an hour! Nice, expansive place for kids to run around and enjoy nature.

We always enjoy the trails and scenery at MacDowell.

Went for a 5k race. Hard work lots of uphill. Post race bbq was very good. Lots of nice people. The lake and the area is beautiful and the weather was excellent.

Great place to recreate.You can take a casual stroll around the lake , swim at the beach, the kids can play at the playground , or you can have a get together

We have our family reunion picnic under a pavilion here each year. They have grills, restrooms, tables, swimming beach, volleyball, horseshoes and plenty of parking. Quiet, clean and nice.

Love this place! It has trails, swimming, cookout area, small playground for kids and even a flush toilet. Dog friendly! Carry in, carry out.

Its beautiful

Multiple short easy hiking trails surrounding the dam and its lake. A pleasant playground, two sheltered picnicking areas including fire pits, shelters and seasonal bathrooms. Engineers office has functional bathrooms in the winter. Public swimming area north of the dam.

Nice picnic and play area. First time visitors from out of town.

Nice little spot for a picnic, big field to play in, small swing set, and a small beach. A decent size pavilion that can be rented for next to nothing. If you get the chance talk to some of the solders who help maintain everything.

Good fishing, could be cleaned up a little better.
