Never expected a womderful temple in US that has all of the gods. They maintain it very well and its a delight to visit to get inner peace

I am not sure how I can rate a temple. However, I love this temple. Awesome tamil temple. Has pretty much all the popular South-indian dieties. Everyone takes extra precautions by social-distancing and wearing masks. The priests are extremely helpful. Food at the canteen is below-average. Its been like that for 5 years now. Poori-masaal is the only safe item to eat. So, careful in planning a family outing for lunch here. The temple staff is very friendly, but some bhakts who come to pray, advice too much and annoy you. . No thanks!! I dont need your opinion!!! Just pray and leave!!

A beautiful south Indian temple!!! The have it beautifully spread out as you would get to experience in India!! A great experience for those who have never been!! They also have a canteen/mandir restaurant, which make great dosas!!

Meenakshi (Goddess Parvati) temple is one of oldest temple in Houston and around Texas. Its very peaceful to spend time in meditation.Temple is going thru expansion where new complex is under construction to accommodate more dirties as well as provide more space to its devotees for various purposes.

They were very welcoming when I visited it as a random tourist, showing up unannounced, unexpected, and uninvited. One of the people who was there to worship warmly and politely answered my questions and welcomed me to ask more. Note that you dont wear shoes inside. There is a place to put your shoes at the entrance. I visited on a rainy day which made putting my socks and shoes back on... rather wet. Id recommend wearing flip flops/ sandles from the parking lot to the entrance where you remove them.

Awesome temple located within 40 minutes of drive from Houston. The temple is well maintained and clean. The events during festival days are great. We love visiting the temple in the weekends. The canteen facility is also good for the devotees to get food after prayers.

Excellent temple with good ambience and sanctity. The idols and overall atmosphere of this temple closet matches with typical South Indian temples in India. The cafeteria is good and we get good variety of food at affordable cost. There are sufficient parking lots even during festive seasons.

Meenakshi Temple reopened starting today. We went and worshipped there.

This temple feels very close to heart. The place has a vibe thats peaceful, similar to that of any ancient temple in India. I had been to many temples in the U.S, most of which I honestly feel exist for a commercial rather than a devotional purpose. But this Meenakshi temple is maintained very well, the idols of all the gods and goddesses have a very beautiful and powerful sense of existence to them. Theres an enclosed area for peacocks at the back, theres a cafeteria that offers good food for a reasonable price.

A beautiful temple , built in a sprawling area , located in Pearland Texas in the midst of a serene atmosphere. There is ample parking space . Remember to take off your footwear and place in the racks before you enter. Theres a separate area for Pooja for your vehicles . Just as you enter , youd be awestruck at the amazing cleanliness , the comfort of air-conditioning to soothe your soul , invigorating fragrance in the air , bright white and spotless walls and amazing landscaping with pleasing greenery . There are separate sannadhis for different Deities , Lord Shiva , Goddess Meenakshi , Lord Ganesha , Lord Balaji , Lord Iyappa etc .. And on the weekends , you can go to the Temple canteen , and have breakfast , lunch , tiffin , dinner that are not only tasty but of highest quality at very affordable prices.. Kudos to the Temple management , the volunteers and others involved in running the day to day affairs . God Bless you in your endeavour to showcase the essence of the heritage , culture , tradition of Hinduism to the Western world.. Cheers

Do you want to feel the peace on earth that still exist? Then go to this place and be relaxed. This is the place of worship I was looking for after I moved from NJ. My family and I went to other nearby Hindu temples in Houston but I didn’t feel the satisfaction of my home country anywhere but in Sri Meenakshi temple.It’s little far from my residence but worth it . We want to go every Friday and very often if time permits.The best part is ...there is no restrictions in taking pictures of the God .The latest event that we went on 21st April 2018 for Sri Meenakshi pattabhishekam and poo pallakku which we weren’t aware of before, so it was truly The God’s grace that we attended and had the bliss .

Nicely renovated temple with many Hindu puja services available in south Houston. The temple premises have peacocks in the yard - be sure to visit those majestic birds. The temple committee needs to maintain the facilities better. Food from kitchen is great but it often gets crowded.

Very welcoming place. Enter through the back gate to drop off your shoes and pick up a self guided tour booklet. Everyone was friendly and welcoming here making us feel comfortable even though we were not there for worship. It was beautiful and educational to visit the shrines and week worth a visit if youre curious

Such a divine place. Extremely hard to find such a beautiful temple with so many God sculptures. Felt like visiting a temple back in India. Also the pujas performed here are so satisfying for the mind. Overall a wonderful temple.

Interiors of the temple are great and gives a good ambience of a temple. The cafeteria is only open on the weekends. We were hungry since the morning and thought will eat in cafeteria. Good idea to take food if you are going there on weekdays.

Good temple - peaceful and calm

We went all the way to Houston from Dallas to get the real feeling of a South Indian temple. And I should say that it was definitely how I felt. However more contributions are needed to make this temple popular. The Gopurams and walls of the temple were covered with cobwebs and this has to be taken care of. The food was really good but it could have been served in a more organized manner. And the peacocks need better shelter and space.

New construction makes this temple more authentic. Serene and peaceful atmosphere.

This is the best South Indian Hindu Temple in South/South Central USA. Unlike many other temples in US, here you would really feel the divinity. Temple layout is pretty much as same as one you would find in Southern India. Very neat and the people are polite and friendly. Check the hours of poojas before visiting to avoid disappointment.

The temple is a must visit place on your Houston trip. It is located few miles away from the city , but it is worth to drive. The construction resembles the ancient tamil temple constructions in Tamil Nadu, India.The statues are made of rock stones in the traditional way, instead of Granites which most of the modern world temples use.The temple is Tamil style , very well maintained. There is a canteen within the temple premises which serve delicious South Indian food at subsidized price. The canteen is open Friday evenings and all day during the weekends.The parking lot is very spacious, the rest rooms are well maintained.

Amazing Jewel of South Indian architecture located in the middle of nowhere. Food at the restaurant is cheap and tastes ok. This temple has idols if every major Hindu deity. However parking tends to fill up during festivals so its a good idea to check their website calendar before you visit.

The Meenakshi Temple is an awesome devasthanam full of positive aura all around. It has all the prime deities like Mata Meenakshi in the centre, lord Shiva on the left and lord Vishnu on right. Mahalaxmi mata, Bajarang Bali also virajman there. A separate building is having lord Ganesha statue looking so elegant. A big size of Hall is being constructed to hold big ceremonies with capacity of nearly 1000 people.Entire complex is very spacious with plenty of parking space.Nice place to visit in Houston.

Goddess Meenakshi abode here with other Gods religiously sanctified.Serene atmosphere. Temple rituals festivals scrupulously followed. Priests are helpful. Pooja articles shop closed?!! Ample car parking. Weekend important days little congested. Choultry reconstructed. Peacock shelter there. Many flower saplings cordoned around main temple and elsewhere. Canteen serves cheap and tasty food on weekends. Myself felt feeble vibrations after prayers. Returned with a satisfied visit.I am exclusively acknowledging the yeoman service by canteen management for providing tasty food at very less rates for appetite devotees coming far off. Considerate and devoted hospitality to customers. Good service undoubtedly but let me endorse the views of many visitors to temple returning without food at odd hours as mess shut. Please in course of time consider increase in hours of functioning better all days with same dedicated troupe who can render justice.
