I went back when the bars were allowed to open for a bit (mid-June?) and aside from the employees and literally 3 others, no one else wore a mask. And it was pretty crowded (with no masks). Wasnt crazy about that but hey, I chose to go out, had just hoped the gays would be a little more conscious

On February 29, 2020, I gave my car to a valet who worked on valet parking. A few hours later, when I took my car, I discovered the absence of my personal belongings, namely a wallet with documents important to me. At first I did not attach any importance to this, but in the morning I searched my car and even so did not find my wallet. I ask the clubs administration to pay attention to this incident and to understand the situation.

Frank rest. I really like such a vacation, where there is a lot of good music, a diverse audience. When promotions take place here, you can get free drinks and a private room for an hour. To do this, register on 909gay,com create a profile and show it to the administrator. I liked the establishment.

Nice club and easy location to get to. Saturday’s Girl Party is packed. The techno music sucks but the music with dancers is good. Definitely an 18-23yo crowd but don’t let that hold you back if you are older like me. Bartenders have tasty drink options if I are not doing alcohol. Bring singles for Saturday girl party.

The Queen’s show was kind of rush. But the bar staff was fast and very friendly. Music was good

Watch out! I was there on Friday, November 14, and the cops were harassing my Uber driver for blocking the street [while picking me up] and had a broken tail light that was less than a week old. This means they are targeting this bar and finding reasons to pull you over. Other than that, I had a great time and liked that you could access two other bars within the same building.

I’ve never had a bad time here. The people that go here are the funnest and nicest I’ve seen in a club downtown.

Went here for the first time last weekend and had a great time! The people are super friendly and the atmosphere is fun, nice air conditioning inside and big open patio with a separate DJ and bar outside.Giving it 4 stars because I bought a bottle of water and the bartender decided to fill out the rest of receipt with a 100% tip. Thats what I get for not filling it out all the way, I guess, but watch out for that

The negative reviews on this place are accurate. Bartenders are hella rude. They suppose to promote acceptance and equality especially after the pulse tragedy, but they don’t. Beware of your tab. The bartender will over charge you and add their own tips. That’s how they get the drunk folks. I had to start a claim with my bank because the bartender added an additional 20 dollars to my tab for tips. Mind you, after I had already tipped her. My bank advice me to make a police report and I will be doing just that. Sketchy and just not worth it. Beware, beware, beware!!!

The club itself was fine but that doesn’t matter. They don’t give you a receipt on your tab so they can tip themselves $4 without your permission!

Honestly just salty because Im too tall for some of the low hanging ceiling when I wear heels but thats it. This place is wonderful.

Usually love going here but brought my sister out one night and the bouncer wouldn’t let her in because they thought she was drinking. Then had her checked out by a cop and the cop said she was fine. But still couldn’t go in. It was her first time and she was 18. He had no reason not to let her in.

It was a horrible experience, I went out to my car to grab something and came back in. The bouncer swiftly stopped me and said that I needed to pay the 10 dollar fee to get in. ( if your under 21 you need to pay a 10 dollar fee to get in ). She made me pay it twice even though I was gone for about 3 minutes. The sign says no re-entry for anyone after 2 that is under 21. She covered the 2 am part as if I didn’t see it then tried to ID me again. Even though I already had the wrist ban and markings on my hand indicating I had been in already. When I handed her my military ID she requested to keep it until I left. That is a security violation for the military. I told her no and she caught an attitude.

Southern nights is a LGBT gem in the milk district. Come before 11pm and skip the cover charge. It’s full of (sometimes) friendly bartenders who pour well and has great entertainment. You just gotta find the night that vibes best with you. I’ve noticed crowds on Tuesday night for instance, feel more accepted and at home than how they would on let’s say a Friday night. Southern nights attracts a diverse crowd that spans the LGBT spectrum which is what I think the community is all about.

Everyone is welcome and celebrated at this spot. Some gay bars will serve certain genders before others, but I have never had that issue here. Girl The Party on Saturday nights is the best in town. If you want to be seen, this is where you need to go. Bartenders are super nice, especially on the back patio where the atmosphere is super chill. What I like most about the venue is that there are so many rooms and corners for you to explore that you wont get bored.

It’s not my first time I’visited this place , but this time I was shocked how rude customer’s service can be!First off all thanks my bartender for an amazing job!I’ve been there with my friends and my friend took more drinks than he supposed to! I was trying to help him to leave , but rude security decided to kick me out too! I was so shocked I’m not gonna enjoy my night anymore, because security Brian (I don’t think it’s even his real name) can kicked out people for nothing! Also other security guy didn’t want to tell me his name, but, I’m sorry, I have all rights to know his name , because this place is a public place!!!!Also security Julian told me that I’m not gonna be able to come back in this place! I’m sorry for that, but I’ve done nothing to be treated like that!!!Even after I talked with a manager Danny - I still didn’t found out name of security and , at least, he told me I can come back tomorrow!But after all this rudeness to gay people I would never come back to this place!Hope the business owner will hire more professional stuff , because I’m more than disappointed in a customer’s service!!!!!

I had a beer for $5.33 and tipped $3 and they charged my CC for $15.00....no good. Just read other reviews and it is a thing for Southern bar tenders to add tips at your CC. Not nice!A pre authorization charge I never agreed to. I still think it was a bad move on you! never again

Great Club! Always has been. Gay, Bi, Straight doesnt matter. Southern Nites was the Sh*! Back in the day. So glad to see it back to the way it should be. A Bad Ass anything (not illegal of course) goes Club were you can be you!

I wish I could properly review the place, but the doorman was so rude to me I might never come back. He labeled me a security threat repeatedly when I went through security twice- I left my ID in the car so I had to double back. Im a short, 110 lb woman who didnt have a purse, wasnt drunk, and was laughing and joking with security as they wanded me. I never acted like a threat nor threatened anyone- in fact, it felt quite the opposite.What really happened is that I thought he was being rude and said as much when I was taken outside the first time. He used that as fodder to threaten to not grant me access into the club for being a security threat. Repeatedly stated I dont have to let you in here when I did nothing wrong, and when I asked on what grounds, he dismisses me and tries to get me to leave. Interesting, since the officer out front and the person that JUST checked me never thought I was a threat of any kind. My offense? I literally made the mistake of missing the guy up front and not getting a wristband (I looked left instead of right- sue me) which resulted in the doorman manhandling me and yelling in my face, wanting to pick a fight with a willingly paying customer. I even apologized and said what happened, and he rebutted with I dont want any apologies. He clearly wanted to just ruin peoples nights instead.I hope hes not a permanent fixture to the place- if hes able to be released from his position, then please do so. Ive worked with many other, better doormen that would never treat a woman- much less one being completely compliant- like this. Frankly, for an inclusive club (which did have some good vibes, I could tell) the person granting access felt like anything but.

One of the best gay clubs in Orlando. One big thing to remember is that Saturdays are Ladies Nights and the club is mostly full of females. Fridays are definitely better for guys.Pros:- It has 3 great different areas with different environments- They do drag queen shows- Sometimes they bring influencers and social media celebrities for events- Friendly Staff- Located near downtown- Affordable coverCons:- Some nights the music could be AMAZING and some nights the music is just trash. That’s the only reason I’m not giving them 5 stars. Their music is not constantly great.

Some guy just yelled at me for stopping for 1 minute in the parking lot to pick up people. Came to my driver door bamged on the window and the. opens it yelling about dont I dare ever stop in his lot again. You can not violate someones property!!! I should call my lawyers about this. I have never been to this venue before but I do not recommend going here.

Great music, diverse crowd, had a lot of fun, Im a straight guy who went with a group of friends on lesbian night (Sat night). Drinks were strong, staff was friendly, place was clean, overall i was very impressed. Had many cool shows and police presence was very strong, inside and outside if the venue which made me feel very at ease. Highly recommend.

Great drag shows!, usually they do them on thursdays fridays, also they bring a lot of rupaul drag race queens to perform. Pay atention to their instagram for the shows. Good drinks, wide open spaces and different areas for music genres. It can get a little dark but the glow in the dark features makes up for it!

Friday nights at Southern Nights Orlando. Slight line for entry, but once in it is worth the wait. There is great drinks, music, and crowd.

Yesterday was my first time ever visiting Southern Nights. I had always heard so many good things and had been invited by a girl friend of mine to Lesbian Night. We arrived around 9:00 p.m. and stayed until 1:00 a.m.Throughout the night, I had visited a few bars and ordered a beer each time. I understand that it would be easier and more convenient to open a tab as opposed to running my card each time, but I was unsure if each time was the last drink I’d be getting for the night. I frequented the bar on the outside patio, just across from the craft bar entrance and connected to the drag theatre. It was being operated by a younger, male bartender in a gray shirt with strawberry blonde highlights. Ordering a Bud Light each time came to a subtotal of $3.20. I would then add a tip of $0.80. (Doesn’t sound like a lot, but more than the customary 18-20%) Upon ordering for the third time, the bartender handed me my receipt to sign and said, very abruptly, “please don’t even leave a tip, the $0.80 is just an insult to be honest.” I asked him to repeat himself in case I misunderstood, and he did. I did as he said, signed my receipt, and left.I tried to enjoy the rest of the night, but it was ruined. Watching the drag show, all I remember is his comment and disdain as he looked at me. Rude comments like this aren’t to be expected, especially “in the family” at a LGBTQ+ space.

Truly love this place. Great shows; drag and gogo dancing. Would be 5 but they dont carry top shelf liquor therefore the cocktails tend to be not the best. But no shortage on good beer!Edit: I frequent this place and Ive come to the conclusion that maybe they werent fully stocked that particular evening since then I see top shelf!

More than one star for the dance floor only. The bartender was absolutely horrible. There are minimums I expect from a bartender, like knowing how to handle a crowd, and it was not possible. It is unfortunate that this can’t be done. I was passed by multiple times for people that were obviously his friends, and he carried on conversations with. Additionally, when I asked to close my tab, he walked away to help other people. It was clear he was upset that I was leaving after two drinks. I felt my credit card was being held hostage. If you go here, bring cash. I do not think I’ll ever be going back. So sad that what was once such an amazing gay bar in Orlando has gone south so quick.

My wife and I are visiting Florida. DJ outside the club made our night incredible. I asked for the wobble and she played it. We were hoping for some latin music and she also played them. She played the ones we loved. Its like she read our minds haha. Next time we visit we will be going there again. Awesome place!!!

I’m a lesbian, 20 years old turning 21 this year. I’m a US Army Veteran & I barely ever go to the club. I paid to park out front by the club, and when I walked through the door they said it would be $10 for me (even though it’s supposed to be free before 11) because I’m not 21. So I go to the ATM and pull out $20 more dollars for security to come and escort me out because I SEEMED intoxicated. And after requesting to speak to management who apparently made that call, he was extremely rude and they basically brushed me off. Even when I do turn 21 I’d never set foot in Southern Nights again because that was just ridiculous. I wasn’t intoxicated and you don’t treat people like that. Especially when you got a club filled with intoxicated people, and I’m just trying to go have fun like everyone else.

Being under 21 here is hard. Sometimes people forget that under 21 sometimes can be two months away from 21 and they still will make you pay 10 at the door and 3 dollars on the only thing you can drink in there (water). but over 21 is free on Saturday before 11 so thats good. Business in America I guess. Cant pretend it wasnt lit though lol

This is a very nice club and could Be so fun. But I went for New Years and the music was CRAP!!! The club is really nice no lie. But if you arent tripping off Molly go to a different spot.

Friday nights are pretty busy. Saturday night is girls night. The bartenders poor strong and the music is generally good. They have valet and parking around the area is scarce on weekends. No wifi. Dance bar and outdoor patio.

Generous bartenders, awesome music, good crowd, cool venue with an outdoor patio and plenty of room - even when it gets packed. Friday nights are a gay Orlando staple. Just make sure you uber, because you will be leaving more intoxicated than you may have planned. Every. Single. Time.

Great club. But the contest they put on for special events and holidays are rigged so if youre going to dress up and spend time making a outfit or costume just know they pick their favorites/friends to win anyway. They also allow friends of managment to carry weapons with costumes but not anyone else. A lot of favoritism goes on so dont waste your time doing the contests.

Absolutely disgusting! Worst club staff ever. I would rather pay overpriced everything than watch a girl get drug out by her throat by security thats supposed to keep you safe..for her friend choosing to dance on stage in the midst of fun! Nastiest club and i will never return and hope a single person never shows up again!!!!!

My experience at this particular place was not good. If there was a negative number, they would get it ! I pulled in and paid my $10 for valet and tipped the valet guys the normal 50% , which I always do. I go in and I noticed that it was a special night and that stoli was on sale , $5.00. I ordered a cosmopolitan and I got charged like $9.00 or something. I asked the other bartender , I thought it was on sale? He said it is, but it has two different liquors in it and cranberry juice. So I was OK with that, but then I asked, where is the martini glass that it comes with and the lime? ( it was put in a shot glass). We are all out of martini glasses , Ill get you a lime. Also you wouldnt want a martini glass tonight anyway it will be crowded later. You would spill it! There was no sorry , etc . Who are they to tell me what I dont want? Im the guest! There was only about 15 people tops in the place when I was there and no one had a martini glass! If Im paying for a premium drink, then I expect it to be made correctly. So I was there a total of 20 minutes tops and I left. I expressed my concerns to the valet guys and tipped them again another 50% , and told them they were awesome! The valet guys told me sorry you had a bad experience at the place. I must say the valet drivers probably change my mind about visiting again. I left and went to another establishment to get my drink made correctly. I am a visitor out of town and this is probably the first place I came across stuck up bartenders, a gay bar not having martini glasses, and bartenders that do not know how to make a cosmopolitan. I come to Orlando often , and I would say I had more fun when the place was called Revolution . I will try this place one more time tonight 12/17/16, because of the valet attendants, but if its terrible again, it will be put on my do not go list.

The Best & ONLY gay club in Orlando you can go to. It’s clean it’s nice and I love the patio area. I wish they would play more diverse music in the main showroom but hey I have a blast every-time I go there. The main room is pretty much edm music the outside patio is more mainstream music. Thursday nights are the absolute best they have amazing drink specials literally ALL YOU CAN DRINK TOP SHELF FOR $25. The crowd is very mixed and everyone is friendly. The bartenders are actually nice they’ll hold a conversation with you and if you don’t know what to drink they will help you get the best drink. The security are nice and they THROUGHLY check you with us different from most other clubs but I feel safe! The cashier is super funny and sarcastic so don’t take anything she says literally she’s a DIVA, I love it. Even though the taste in music isn’t the best here is where I can actually call home I feel my safest. I actually went out last Friday and me and my friend got wasted unexpectedly and passed out in our car in the valet parking lot. We don’t remember anything but the following day we called back to the club because we Uber’d home at 7am when we woke up (mind valet still had our keys) I was completely irate because we had to pay to get home but when we called the manager knew who we were and said that he tried to wake us up but we were too drunk to answer so he locked our keys in the club to ensure our safety. OPD wasn’t happy about but he didn’t mind at all. I wish more clubs were like southern nights ! Oh and btw they play a lot of mixes so don’t expect to hear an entire song being played.

I looked outside to see if my friend was there and they ddnt let me re enter cause I stepped a foot outside, Parliament House is the best ... dont waste your change at southern, not worth the hassle they can stay with their eatery ass drinks
