Adore this place a lot. Atmosphere of freedom and wonderful 80s-90s music. My favorite day for visits is Saturday, they mostly play New Wave this day. Moreover, really love to see the diversity of the public. Outfits of some people are bomb! Feel free to express yourself in dancing here. Can be overcrowded on Wednesdays (mostly by 20-30 y.o). Drinks are mediocre, but that is not a point here. I was here like 10 times, and I can’t complain on staff or something.

Great low key bar to hang out for a few drinks with friends. Not worth a cover fee in my opinion if there is a night they require it. Some bartenders can be aggressive in demanding higher tips which I find incredibly rude. Aside from that this is a great spot in downtown.

Independent bar wasn’t open on 8/19 at 9pm even though google said it was open until 2. Just putting this is case anyone looks it up: love this place though and miss it!!

For many years we used to pass by it, we thought it was a strange place where people dressed weird. Now we go there almost every weekend. You can dress however you like and dance freely and not feel self conscious. At my age is nice to be able to still go to a club and have fun. The music is great and customer service is excellent.

Had a blast dancing my Butt OFF! VISAGE REUNION 2018. It’s times like these when you remember life is short and you must keep DANCING!

Bouncer and other staff are extremely rude. Bouncer doesn’t know the difference between a real and a fake ID. They play weird music to dance to. Drinks are over priced that are below average. The cleanliness of the bar is disgusting. Don’t recommend it!

I’ve always had a decent time here up until the last time. I was in line and then it was time for me to show my ID to the bouncer. I showed it to him and he stared at it and then asked me my sign- I told him then he looked at me weird like he didn’t believe me. I told him that he can quiz me and i can show him other forms of ID too if he needed. He just looked at it for about a another minute and then other people walked by and he extended my ID back out to me. I took it back because I was under the impression that he was handing it back me. Then he proceeded to yell at me and told me I couldn’t come into the bar. I was very polite but also confused and asked him what I did wrong- the bouncer just kept yelling aggressively at me and shouted repeated “you cannot come into this bar” I was being accommodating and putting my ID back into my wallet but then he used his chest and pushed me back. I was completely confused by the whole situation and I truly don’t understand why I was treated like this. I understand the thoroughness that’s required when checking to make sure no one underage enters the bar, but I’ve never experienced anything like this. I do look young, but I will generally have people ask me for more forms of ID (hence the reason why I offered it). I won’t be coming her again due to this bouncer. There are many other clubs/bars that do a great job of being pleasant while also ensuring they are following the law and this one is not one of them.

Located in the heart of Downtown Orlando, this place rocks! Their themed 80s and 90s/early 2000s nights are a breath of fresh air from the overplayed music you usually hear on the radio. Keep up the good work and dance like there is no tomorrow!

Great place, 4 bars each with its own level of energy for the party animals or your casual drinkers. The drinks are reasonably priced, a dance floor for all walks fo life. Very welcoming place.Conviently has a pizza place next door too

If you want to dance like its the 80s (and watch other people doing it too) this is the place for you. Im past the point of wishing it was still 1987 but the music IS good. Im wondering what happend to the EBM section and why it became a tiki room? Overall, it feels like safe place where you can chill no matter what your age and just be you.

I honestly have no idea why people have had the bad experiences they are writing about here. This is the ONLY place in Central Florida, to my knowledge, that plays 80s music...its great! I can dance to my favorite music and Ive never been afraid of anyone or anything!!!

I love this place. The music is great and the place has a good vibe. Everyone that comes here is just here to have fun and dance. In other words, drama free! When I lived in Tampa I would even drive out to Orlando just to come here. I love that there are tons of places to sit when you need to get off your feet. The dance floor is a decent size but can get crowded fast. And it could use a good cleaning (gets very sticky). Theres free cover before 11pm (or close there to) and drinks are reasonably priced. There is plenty of parking right around the corner, which is nice.

Horrible place to be. One of the guards harassed my girlfriend and accused her of rubbing the Xs off of her hands (she is 19). He grabbed her hand violently and interrogated her, which is disgusting. I wanted to report him to the police for making physical contact with her. They were dead and no one was in there on a Saturday night and I can see why. Never coming here again. Please attend one of the many other bars in the downtown Orlando area.

Pretty good spot. Is at its best on wednesday nights. Only complaint is that the bathrooms are pretty disgusting

Powerful drinks. As is most of Orlando, not much else to offer unless you’re just visiting and looking for something to do.

Very rude owner (I believe he was). he was very rude to us guests from Minnesota. Swore at us at the door for no apparent reason. Not welcoming and very weird music.

We went for Indie night. The music was good, the drinks were good and also cheap. I wish there were more people, but it was a Thursday. I could tell the place is definitely more full on the weekends. The staff was nice, service was quick. If youre looking for a chill club during the week or a busy club during the weekends, I think this is a pretty good place to go!

Cool place to relax and unwind. Best night is only one time a month on Wednesdays.

Worst place ever. The bouncer was the most unprofessional person I have ever seen. He took my ID and twisted till the point he broke it, and then started to claim that IDS wont break like that. And then was like take your Id and go and I was about to actually call the cops because it is actually my real ID and he just broke it. Now I have to spend the rest of my holidays here in the United states with a broken drivers license. I dont even care about drinking cause I can just show my passport, but at the car rental they werent really happy about a broken license. All because of a douchbag who decided to bend my ID.

Love the location. 3 different areas to hang out. The dance floor is big and on the sides many areas to sit with friends. The location has 3 bars which is awesome. You don’t have to fight your way to get a drink. Ac here is amazing. I would recommend changing Saturday’s to modern music to attract a younger crowd. Fun bar , recommend for anybody to have a good time.

A very cool place with great atmosphere and 2 dance floors. This place attracts a really great crowd. Ive been many times and never had a bad experience.

Don’t waste your time here.

Ill start with the bad news first. Upon opening, the floors were extremely sticky and the bathroom smelled like it hadnt been cleaned in weeks. The place could have used a really good cleaning before opening up for the night!Now for the good news. Awesome environment, drinks were definitely not weak, and the service was very fast for how many patrons there were.

Saturday night are the nights to go. Their 80s selection of music phenomenal. I danced till closing time. Lots of wonderful patrons around doing their thing. Fun times always

Worst downtown experience ever. Staff is super unprofessional and kicked out our one underage friend in our whole group minutes after we paid. They claimed he drank when he didn’t even take a sip. Even after explaining everything multiple times they said their job was on the line...sounds like a sad excuse to just make money. Playlist literally sounds like a throwback Spotify Spend your cover elsewhere.

Terrible place with extremely rude staff. My 23-year-old friend was not admitted yesterday (March 17) because the bouncer claimed it was fake. He called his manager who asked her what the capital of Oregon was (it was an Oregon drivers license) and what her sign was (both of which she answered correctly). After that he accused her of using our friends ID since they’re both black. Our friend proceeded to show him her own ID and he yelled at her that he wasn’t talking to her. THEN he asked her what her middle name meant because it’s in Spanish (she’s black/Mexican), clearly just trying to find something she couldn’t answer so he could use it as an excuse to not let her in. This man was on a power trip and ruined our evening by being EXTREMELY disrespectful. I will never be going back to this place.

Worst bar I have ever been to. The security threw me out and choked me because I brushed up against them as I was walking by. The staff are terrible and the service is extremely slow and unprofessional. I would not recommend ever going to this establishment. Waste of time and money. I would be careful as I got punched and assaulted inside and outside of the bar.

Literally the worst experience I’ve ever had at a bar/club. Every single employee that I talked to was rude and not helpful. He thought my friends ID was fake when it was 100% real. She just got through airport security with it. I asked to talk to a manager and he bent her ID and kicked us all out. I would give them a 0/5.

Went to the club last night, on a Wednesday night to dance for my birthday. Place was PACKED, which there is nothing wrong with that. After an hour of waiting, my group finally got in and they gave me the giant Xs on my hands which I think is a bit extreme. Within 5 minutes of being in the club we were being pushed out and then yelled at because I washed the Xs off and my 21 year old friend was accused of being underaged with her drink after also being pushed out. Man in charge was so rude saying I needed to come up with a more creative excuse than not liking the giant Xs to have washed them off. They refused to give back the cover even though we were legitimately in there for 5 min and treated so poorly. Safe to say our group will not be back.

My favorite dance club! Very free atmosphere. The only place I have ever been that has an indie music night Fridays. So much fun and really great drink specials too.

Your group was PURPOSELY bumping into other people. Your girlfriend was sooo pissed drunk when she was grinding up on you, pushed you and the dude behind you on top of my husband spilling his drink. That kept on going on the entire night until you all left.You dont want to come back? GOOD!!! Douuchebags are not welcomed. You dont have to dress up. Were not here to welcome you based on what you wear but how RESPECTFUL YOUR ARE. The Goth culture is not like the typical ass grinding regular club. We like for our personal space to be respected.With that said, I AM NOT PART OF THE STAFF. But part of the crowd that has been attending goths night there for the past 10 years.

Good dance bar and club. different themes for each night. on fridays no cover til 1am. Advise going in for a drink early( drinks are good and fair priced) then later you can come back at no charge at door. The lighting on dance floor is pretty impressive.

*Pertaining to Friday nights... The place needs more new/alt/funk/disco tunes. Keep it fresh with more unknown and avoid played out songs or at least try remixes. More up beat party tunes would be nice. There is a lot of music that should be played here.

My friends and I were basically being assaulted at goth night because we didnt dress up. We were just trying to dance and everyone on the dance floor kept pushing us and telling us to move out of their way. The security was nowhere to be found when a gaint goth dude was ready to fight my girlfriend and I had to physically pull her away. Again, all we were trying to do was dance. I had a terrible experience here and I wouldnt suggest that anyone go to goth night if you arent already part of their clique. Absolutely atrocious.Cant wait to go back.

We always have a great time here. Friendly staff and the people that show up dance and have a good time. The drinks are reasonably priced and well made. They have large screens to play music videos on and sometimes even play your requests.

Love love love going here when I go to downtown! The atmosphere is always so great and the music selection. My favorites are Mac and cheese Wednesday and 60s Tuesdays and there mixed drinks are pretty good as well

I can always get a drink right away and always with a smile! The bartenders her actually like their job! Very cool dance floor. Excellent seating! But get there before 11! Otherwise you wont have anywhere to sit!

We went there on a Wednesday nite, (mac and cheese nite). It was packed, high energy, all types of people and ages! Great drinks and the bar staff was super fast. The guy at the back bar ( by the dance floor) I think his name was Lee, was great! He remembered our drinks and acted like we were his best friends. Great time!

This is not an R&B club, but when you Google “ R&B clubs Orlando” it comes up. So I went to see. It’s more of a College hang. Very top 40 music. It’s not bad if that’s your music. I was disappointed...no one was over 25 :(

Its I bar! Of indie and goth roots. A bit more mainstream these days, but still gives that feel of the early oughts indie revival and bouncing to oldies without a care.

Love the layout. The drinks are strong. They play a lot of 80s alternative (my favorite), and its in the middle of downtown O-town where you can jaunter over to other clubs.

If you want VIP, posh people around you, this is not the place to go. If you like 80s music with a wide range of alternative styles, then youll have a good time. It is grimy yet interesting and most everyone is there to have a good time and dance.

Big crowd for Wednesday night, 90s night. DJ had a great mix between all genre of music, pop, rab, r&b, alternative. Bartenders are quick.

Mix crowd, LGBT friendly, usually free cover most nights. Mac N Cheese night is fun, they play a lot of 90s hit songs. Weekends, is usually a chill crowd, different music. Drinks are cheap here, at least everytime Ive been. They have an outside patio, to hang out. You can smoke indoors, just an FYI.

I thought I was gonna enjoy the scene here, but unfortunately it seems that wasnt meant to be. First night I came here back in December, it was 80s night, and it seemed fun! Lots of energy, good amount of people, and nice workers. Then my husband went alone one night, on the classic night with older people. He got some water (not a drinker) and he was drugged. When I couldnt contact him safely like we always do, I called the bar. I told them I was worried, and was calling to see if he was okay. The girl on the phone have me an attitude, and the entry-man told me to come get him already, even though he knew I didnt have my license at the time!The workers play favorites, and even encourage lawbreaking behavior just because outsiders dont fit in. We will NEVER come here again, and I will tell everyone who considers this place the same.

IBar is a great place to dance and drink cheap beer. If you get there before midnight, cover is free. So, if youre smart, make it your first stop downtown and get a wristband so you can come back in for free all night and hop around to other bars!

This place might outlast the cockroaches after nuclear annihilation, it used to be way bigger but its still big with three bars and different spaces to hang out. Music is always cool and the crowd varies from night to night. I feel like everyones been here, if you havent get there before 11 for no cover charge and check it out.

Dirty, sticky, NASTY dance floor and filthy vinyl seating areas. Unsafe dance platform on main level with loose metal rails in front, loose platform metal stair rails and missing and broken floor tiles. Loose, broken and missing tiles on main dance floor. Smelly, uncleaned restrooms that you can smell walking up to them! Watered down drinks that are cheap because they literally have NO alcohol in them. How people still come here when there are other options is beyond me. Read the other reviews on how filthy this place is!

I am under 21 and don’t go here to drink but rather to have a good time. I have been a few times and I leave upset or disgusted every time. Even when they first open their doors this place is sticky. Bathrooms are always absolutely DISGUSTING. It is almost packed like a can of sardines, (you will get drinks spilled on you and sweaty bodies rubbed all over you) scary to be here because you literally can’t move due to the sheer amount of nasty drunk people (the kinda place someone could easily be drugged, trampled, or taken and I doubt the employees would notice) security doesn’t have much of a strong appearance anywhere, however the time that I was the most upset with this place was when a security guard walked into the women’s restroom to watch me wash my hands and told me to leave because my X’s partially came off. I didn’t leave but rather just went and got them reapplied (just to catch an attitude from the guy doing the X’s). My biggest problem with this place is not that it is dirty or overcrowded (trust me it really is) but, because i’ve come here knowing that, My problem is with the friendliness of the employees, i have never been treated like a person when visiting this bar. Every employee acts like they hate their jobs and that every person here is an idiot. I don’t appreciate giving my money to a business that does not even appreciate their customers. Rant over, this place is unenjoyable if you are not wasted, and if you are wasted it is not safe. I see no win with this business and after my most recent trip will not be giving them anymore of my business.

I would normally think this place wasnt for me, but Ive been going there for seven years, and I still love it. Hard to describe, eclectic crowd, all are welcome, cheap drinks. Move around, say hi to strangers.

Ran into one of the employees here, guys named seth powell and he is a slander to the companys name cursing and shouting back, trying to educate people. Not a place i would stop in and eat. He definitely does great for bringing yall customers..

The bathrooms are a little gross but other than that this place is pretty chill. fair prices and if you go on a day where the theme fits your taste in music, then theres good music lol

Went during Wednesday night and place was packed. They had plenty of 90s music playing. It was a ton of fun.

Friday is awesome, Saturday is hit or miss. Sometimes its 80s music everyone knows, other times its the b-sides of bands that werent that popular. I usually give it a shot anyway. Their drink prices are awesome!

Great music, cheap drinks, & awesome bartenders!

Extremely crowded and filled with a varied mixture of people. Old weird potheads all the way down to immature high school kids and everything inbetween. Drinks were much too expensive and almost impossible to get due to the crowding. Music selection was all 90s the day I went although from what I understand, that changes depending on the day of the week. That might also affect the number of people there as well with the exception of the 18-20 yr olds who will probably always have a strong showing.

I went to I-Bar with 2 friends of mine, just looking for some good music and a mellow time.We get there, dance a little and are just sitting in a corner talking. Let me say that we encountered some of the rudest people in Orlando. Their behavior and words were just disgusting. First a man approaches me, calls me cute and proceeds to ask me if my friends were racist against white people. As if my shocked expression wasnt enough he continues to ask this. Next a group of women ask us to watch their coats, ok whatever. Then they come back from dancing and ask us Not because youre black or anything, but is that mans pants attractive? He was a black guy sagging his pants. Never before have I felt like such an outcast and I have no tolerance for racism. Never going here again.
