Growing up in Orlando my family and I always held annual passes and loved spending time at the science center over the years. Last year I got engaged and when I found out that I could do my wedding at the science center, I was so thrilled. However, our wedding was booked Feb/2020 to be held in Dec/2020 right before this Global Pandemic took Orlando by storm. My fiancé and I were very concerned as we saw our country and local community being effected so much and so fast. We immediately contacted the Science Center in Mar/2020 to speak about how we would be effected later that year and plans they had to protect our guests. We realized quickly that it would not be in the best interest to proceed and had to cancel our wedding altogether. Which we did and pleaded with the venue to get our deposit back. After speaking month after month with our event planner at Science Center, we had two options as followed;1. We could hold another event by 2022 or2. Lose our depositSo this review is for any future bride that may have their heart set to have their wedding held there or really to anyone who wants to hold any event what so ever, to be aware that you will lose your deposit and/or be forced to hold another date just to utilize your deposit. I hope that you the reader will gain insight to help you evaluate your future event decisions.Times like this losing money especially now with so much uncertainty is foolish, I would have expected this venue to have better understanding.Stay Safe,Amy and Carey Binning

Visited the Pompeii exhibit today. Very interesting, many artifacts, pictures, and descriptions telling the unfortunate story how life was disrupted in a matter of hours. Posted a few pics to review. The exhibit is available for viewing through December.

Went to see the Pompeii exhibit. It was not as large as I had hoped but the staff more than made up for that. Learned, in great detail, how wine was made in Pompeii (I dont think I would recommend drinking it) as well as a sauce made from fish (dont think I would recommend this either). All in all it was worth the visit. Really enjoyed the dinosaur light show. Lots and lots of stuff for kids (and more than a little that could be enjoyed by not so young kids)

A great educational experience for the family. So many different aspects of our world can be seen in just four floors of this place. Even as an adult, I still learn new things. The play area is great for kids of all ages and there is even a small water play area. Every few months, the OSC has a new exhibit with great history and/or science behind it. If you are just visiting Orlando, or even if you live here, the Orlando Science Center is a great regular experience!

Always a pleasant experience here. Weve been twice since the start of the pandemic and have seen appropriate safety precautions implemented. We look forward to the tall play structure reopening but have enjoyed the other attractions just the same. They have capacity restrictions in some areas, like the orange grove - super popular with my kids, but theres room to wait or pass time down the hall at the water table or toddler town.

My husband and I are Seniors and we wondered if OSC would be so geared toward children that we would be bored, but we were pleasantly surprised. The movies were great, the Kaboom show was fun, the special Pompeii exhibit was intriguing, the cafe food was good and staff was very knowledgable and eager to help. COVID safety protocols were evident! We were there 4 hours and enjoyed it very much!

It would have been a better experience perhaps under different circumstances with today’s COVID 19 obstacles. With that said, I think it could have been more enjoyable if the event was not over sold. Too many times we were turned away for either a deep cleaning of a room or it was filled to capacity. The wait times were too long in my opinion. We visited on Sunday, September 6, 2020.

If you like museums, science and be amazing those things, thats a great place to go, alone, with your partner or in family...go with time, maybe it take time to see all areas, if youre curious maybe take more time, maybe 2 or more hours (for me) . Take care about how to be there because the GPS take you to the place but dont say how to find the entryway. You have to find the parking BUILDING and take the elevator or stairs over there to get the 3rd floor, this is the entry, walk thru a tunnel over the street and youre done..I hope enjoy it

Cute exhibits for children. Not much for space lovers and sino exhibit closed an hour early. No one said anything so missed the dinos. $32 admission with parking which wouldve been free anyway. Pompei show was tiny and awkwardly laid out with few artifacts and a creepy ending. Felt like Disney Discovery zone and not so much a science museum. Needs updating. Fun for kids.

Looking forward to going back when more things open. Great place for dino lovers! We took our kids for my sons 7th bday he is very interested in dinosaurs and was amazed at the trex and other fossils we came across ♡ we went during the Pompeii exhibit .. was very neat to see pieces of history and the kids got to make Frescos ... cafe was okay. Wouldve been better if the sandwiches wernt premade and ice cold. Delish ingredients but they are so cold that bread is rock hard so alot of it was not eatable for my husband myself amd kids and was pricey. So we wasted quiet a bit of moeny. . At this time, they are clearly working very hard to promote a clean and safe environment for all of their guests and I have felt comfortable being there with my son. It looks different than it used to (some features are closed to encourage social distancing and others are temporarily closed from time to time for cleaning) but it is still worth it for us. I went to the Pompeii The Immortal City exhibit. It was not safe. It was disorganized and did not allow you to take your time to read the exhibit signs bc it wasn’t timed correctly. I asked other guests to not come up to me and give me space and they refused. I was uncomfortable asking others to not stand next to me. I went and asked for my money back and Jesse Zito refused he told me I was standing too close to him which wasn’t true. He was rude and they claimed they didn’t have the authority to return my money and that Lisa Robbins would have to do that but they claimed she was in a meeting but she wasn’t bc she walked out her card she just wanted to keep the money. Even if I had been given space to read the signs without others standing right next to me the exhibit was so small and they used modern replicas. I have been to exhibits all over the world and I work in the arts and this was hands down one of the tackiest most disorganized places and then on top of it they took 5 workers to waste my time and not return my money. With the conversion the exhibit was 75 Canadian dollars. I was shocked at how poorly it was done. I have visited the actual place. It was a joke. Furthermore the ad on the TV showed a completely different thing they showed statues the only thing thete was a fake replica called modern replica. Save your money. It was outrageously bad. It was very small and although not crowded you have no control over who stands right next to you to read the exhibits. It should go in an order. I left and they refused to give me or mgg Th partner our money back. Travis said he agreed with me and was nice but seemed he was playing good cop bad cop. Amazing people in a museum would be so unprofessional and greedy

If you park near the entrance to the garage and walk right back out onto the footpath and cross the street to the center, you would be going the wrong way and not know it. We spent 15 minutes walking all the way around the building before realizing that the only entrance is thru the 2nd level of the garage and onto a skybridge. Plenty of signs by the elevator and the back of the garage, none at the entrance to the garage. The building itself also has multiple signs on doors and windows saying not an entrance but not a single sign anywhere on the building telling you where to enter. I bought my tickets online, didnt see online notice either telling visitors the entrance is thru the garage. Poor signage overall, also considering all the international visitors in Orlando, no signs in languages other than english. Lastly, dont make online ticket buyers set up an account. Have guest checkout!

Hand sanitizer stations were everywhere, and I saw employees on multiple occasions switching out items that were touched frequently with freshly sanitized items. All three of my kids had fun, and that is quite the feat for my family due to age gaps (13, 8, 2).There were a few exhibits that were closed temporarily due to corona, but that was understandable and not a big deal. They have a new food place called 4 roots but its only open till 4. After spending 15 minutes in the parking garage I told the lady I had paid for the tickets and am taking my 2 yr old in regardless (the website, signs, and entrance banners, and email from ticket purchases all stated 3 and up)... When we finally got in and got are bands lots of the little kids didnt have masks on so Im not sure what the hold up was.
