Far beyond expectations. This was on of the best Hotles/Costumer Service we have ever received. My Wife and I were really astonish with the quality of Service. Military Friendly and every day was an outstanding experience. the Spa is Incredible and the GYM was just what we needed to keep those Calories off. The View and golf course was amazing. In Conclusion, I applause your Costumer Care and definitely we will come back.

Played Shingle on Thursday, November 12th, course was soaked, raining off and on, so this review is a little biased. Layout was pretty good, nice mix of holes and everything seemed to be in really great shape, staff was awesome and super accommodating. If ever I return to Orlando for golf I will hope to catch it on a warm dry day.

Wow! What a beautiful course. Exactly what you would expect for a resort golf course. Staff everywhere on the premessis were very nice. The course is beautiful. Driving range has balls for you to hit and warm up. Course layout is challenging. You need to be able to hit fairly long and accurate. Good tee boxes, fairways were excellent, rough is good, greens were awesome, fast and roll true. My buddy and I came in from out of town to golf and glad we played here. Cart girls were great, very friendly and always making rounds, we were stocked up with beers all day. Definitely recommend this course if you have the chance to play here.

Played yesterday and very delighted with the whole experience. Valet and front desk people were nice. Starter and rangers were as well. Practice facility in good shape. Layout was really good and conditions were great! Traps were a bit hard which was surprising considering all the rain. Greens were near perfect. Tee boxes were very good and fairways were nice. Rough was very thick and penal if you ended up in them, probably because of the rain. All in all its a great resort style course and a great value.

If you haven’t played Shingle Creek Golf Club in Orlando in a few years, you’re in for a rude awakening; but it’s all good. If this is your first time playing the course, you’ll absolutely love it!In 2016, the golf course underwent a complete renovation. Some holes were remodeled, other holes were rerouted and new holes were added. The result is a golf course that is a lot more player friendly and every bit – if not more – beautiful than it was in its original state. Before your round, be sure to take advantage of the well laid out practice facility which is included with your greens fee. The practice area has a spacious driving range where you can hit every club in your bag to your heart’s content, a short game area with a practice bunker and a good-sized practice putting green.Although the fairways at Shingle Creek are, for the most part, wide and provide generous landing areas, they have a lot of roll to them which can create challenging lies. The greens put fast and true, some with dramatic sloping from back to front. Even a short putt can have plenty of break. Some of the most memorable holes on the golf course are the par 5s. It all starts on the 2nd, known as Ismael’s Gift, which plays 506 yards from the Blue Tees. Depending on how far you can hit the ball off the tee, you may want to consider trying to carry the coquina shelled bunker that protects the left side of the fairway. Not only is it the shortest distance to the green, it also sets up the best angle into it. Beware of the pot bunker that occupies the middle of the fairway about 60 yards short the green. Your pitch shot will require a deft touch; the green has a large false front on and the rest slopes towards the back. The 8th hole, Handshake, was one of the reconfigured holes. It was lengthened tremendously and now plays over 600 yards from the back tees, easily the longest hole on the course. Playing down the right side is definitely shorter and the closer you pay to the lake, the easier your next shot becomes. A word of advice: Play down the left side for a front left pin placement. The first par 5 on the back nine is Number 13, nicknamed Skillit. This 570-yard par 5 is one of the new holes and brings a canal into play down the left side. The big decision on Skillit is on the 2nd shot: play short, play left or carry the fairway bunkers. Successful navigation of your second shot will leave a delicate pitch shot into a deep narrow green with the canal to the left. Miss the green right and you’ll leave yourself a challenging up and down. Miss it left and simply finding your ball can be an arduous chore.Number 16, Emma, is a reachable par 5 that plays 447 yards from the Blue Tees and offers a lot of room off the tee. Success on Emma is determined with your approach shot. There’s a small mound that juts into the front center of the green and separates it in two. You’ll want to find the side of the green the pin is on with your approach shot in order to avoid a challenging recovery.Another hole worth mentioning is Number 14, is a short risk/reward par 4, aptly named Roulette, that plays 276 yards from the Blue Tees. A well struck tee shot can easily reach the green, but with water making up the entire left side, you have to ask yourself: “Do I feel lucky?” Plus, there’s a nasty little pot bunker guarding the front of the green.Last Word: What you’ll now find at Shingle Creek is a course that is a lot more forgiving and player friendly for the average player, yet a lot more challenging for the skilled golfer. This is because of the thought process now involved in playing the course at a high level. The average golfer can come out and take advantage of the wider fairways off the tees, and the long par 4 and 5 holes provide ample opportunity to recover from an errant shot. The skilled player will now be required to bring their “A” game, one that is a lot more exacting if he/she wants to post a low number.

I visited on my birthday, so it was a special day for me and I choose Shingle Creek because it is a great course to play. Everyone there has always been pleasant and helpful, I just need to make a side note, tell the workers to keep their hands to themselves. I dont think you should ever touch a customer unless when warranted. From the practice area to the first tee and through to the 18th green I cannot give you any negatives about the course.I will say that whomever decided to change the layout of the course, did not make the course any better, I miss the old holes, especially the second par 5 on the front. All in all, if youre still reading this review please check out the course, you wont regret playing it. Last tidbit of information, the greens are super quick.

Lovely course and facility, I would def give this a five but the screw up here is golf now bookings didn’t merge with their booking system so they “got us on” the course but at the expense of everyone’s pace of play so we walked off at the 7th as we were held up at every shot. They did fully refund us which was great and expected too. I would definitely come back here. Be sure to reconfirm any third party online bookings with the club directly.

Course conditions are perfect. I came as a single and was paired with three other people. Unfortunately; our Pace was slow and it was a 5-hour round with no one in front of us. At 1 p.m. They had a group of 120 golfers go off for a tournament so you may want to ask about the expected Pace of play. The only negative I can think of was chatter from people walking on a path that ran alongside the course which was distracting.Everyone from the Pro Shops to the cart guys for professional and attentive. Ill definitely be back.

Review №72

It would be better to let fivesomes out with 10 minute intervals, than to do what they do: Shingle Creek should stop promising a 4.5 hour round with 6 minute interval tee times. Its easy math: 4.5 hour tee time goes to the first group out ONLY. Everyone else is all jammed up on top of each other. You will feel rushed all day because you have three groups waiting (and watching!) for you to play even though you just waited for three groups in front of you. What a terrible experience I had with the pro shop taking a stance based on a promised 4.5 hour round. Play at your own risk people. Lots of other nice Orlando based resort courses to choose from who actually manage a tee sheet.

With a ready supply of water from nearby Shingle Creek, dont be surprised to discover that small lakes and ponds play an important role on this enjoyable and excellently presented David Harman design.Laid out on generally open terrain, plenty of mounding and contouring have been used to break up the innate flatness of the surroundings. On the east side of the course a large wetland area, with woodland beyond, provides the main scenic interest, while the imposingly large Rosen Shingle Creek hotel is seldom out of view.

Played there yesterday (Oct 10, 2017). There was some form of maintenance occurring on about every third hole. There were tractors, maintenance people, ditches in fairway, standing water, etc. I would expect another month or two for all the work to be completed. Its not worth the $99 green fee that they are charging. The pro shop staff could be more friendly, but the restaurant servers, valet and cart guys were great.

Review №93

First off, I am only leaving a comparison review from where the course was last year when I played it. For me, I think the course now is very underwhelming. Last year when I played, the greens were amazing. The course was well maintained and the staff and facilities were amazing. I kept thinking to myself that there was a lot of sand on the course, but I figured it was for good reason. THIS year when I played it, the greens are way to slow. I understand that they are young and new, but still, takes a huge part of the course away from it. Also, a ton of bunkers were removed, which has made this course beyond easy. Im no pro, but I should not be able to shoot 72 on a course after not swinging a club for 3 months, from the tips. Not a fan of one of the new holes, 13 I believe, (short par 4). Just to easy and looks completely out of place on this course. However, the course was maintained very well still though. It looked amazing. The staff was still great, the facilites, also great and the front 9 is still a beautiful track and well worth the play.

Da
Review №94

The staff were very helpful...especially Terry. The course all 11 holes we saw of it were in excellent shape.I gave it 2 stars because it took us as a 2 ball three and a half hours (3.5 hours) to play those 11 holes. At one stage there were 14 people waiting to play the 8th hole. It is very frustrating to be waiting on every tee box. Not a ranger to be seen.It is my view that not enough time is allowed between tee times. One gets the impression that revenue is more important than the guests enjoyment. As I said the course was lovely but time management is an issue.

Then they ran out of carts and we went out 10 min after our delayed tee time. Then one of our carts died on the 3rd hole. Quit after 15 holes at 4.5 hours. Totally disappointed and would definitely NOT recommend!Arnie would be turning over in his grave knowing his name is associated with the course.
