I played this course over a decade ago, and I remember it being one of the more prestigious ones in the area. That memory has been completely tarnished after playing it recently. The tee boxes are crab grass, the greens are dirt, the fairways are indistinguishable from the rough, the clubhouse is closed, and we were told by the proshop employees that their air conditioning has been in disrepair for a year and a half. The only real positive is that youll likely be playing under no pressure from other players on the course.

The fairway is basically the rough and the greens are absolute trash. There are big patches of dirt on the greens and they are in piss poor condition and an absolute embarrassment. The bunkers mostly had grass and the tee boxes were crab grass and made teeing off basically like hitting out of the rough. Will never go again and will never recommend to anyone that plays golf. Only upside is no one was there so I was able to to play extremely slow.

Currently played the worst course in Orlando for $40 a round. Awful. Dont come here.

Without a doubt the worst course in the Orlando area. If you want to play on crabgrass tee boxes, st Augustine rough, rock hard dirt bunkers, half dirt greens, fairways that have no definition (the rough just fades to fairway) that haven’t been trimmed or cared for in the last handful of years then this is the place for you. I have walked off of one course during the 20 years I’ve been playing and today was the second time. I would rather have been going to get a root canal than finish the back 9 of this “golf course”. It’s embarrassing they are keeping this place open, let alone, charging people to play there.

I think they furloughed their landscaping guy. Course was in terrible shape. Greens were basically 50% dirt and 50% grass. Even the tee boxes were really patchy. Fairways are basically the rough. For the price you pay to play here, it shouldnt be this bad. Will not play here again for sure.

Don’t waste your money. This golf course was in horrible condition. Many, many weeds throughout the fairways - so much that it was hard to tell the difference from the rough. Many of the greens had large patches of dead grass or no grass. This used to be a nice course. Now, it’s basically a backyard.

If youre in the UCF area, the price is worth it for a visit. super challenging for me, lots of water and bunkers. the course is not as pristine as say a Disney course, but you have realize it was built on the edge of the mid FL wetlands so even in the dry winter youll get a lot of wildlife scenery in the middle of the high end stoney brook housing track.

If you’re reading this and think you still might try this course—don’t. $50 standard fee is obscene. Possibly the worst course for the money in Florida—certainly in the Orlando area. Worst golf value in the city by far. Fairways are higher than the ball, crab grass EVERYWHERE, greens comprised mostly of spots of crab grass and dirt, bunkers are dirt. Disgusted.

Horrible place to play. Save your money and go elsewhere. No maintenance at all. Fairways are rough and rough is rougher. Sand in all greens. Wouldn’t play here for free. Waste of my day time and money.

Good layout, great course. Greens and fairways need some help. Staff was awesome and friendly and made me feel welcome. Will play again.

They charge just as much as a premium course, and yet you put in dirt greens. The greens and Tboxes are just dirt and splotchy weeds. Seems like this owner doesn’t have the money to keep the maintenance up. As well as the golf carts, they die after 8 holes. You pay a premium for a subpar course

So sad to see. Not worth the time and fee until it ressurects.

I rarely write negative reviews, but I feel like I need to warn away people from wasting money on this track. To start, the greens are infected and completely eaten up. Tee boxes are poor and so are the fairways. It used to be such a nice course and it looks like theyve completely given up on it. Dont waste your money here, there are plenty of other nice courses in the area.

Played there my first time on a Thursday morning. I really like the layout and design but the upkeep is lacking . From the tees to the greens they need a major overhaul. The price we paid I think is way too high for the course condition .

I’m a resident of Stoneybrook and have seen the ups and downs of this course. I have not played here in over a year and was pleasantly surprised. The greens, fairways and tee boxes were in good shape. Now the rough is non-existent and is mostly weeds and dirt. So, it was nice to see that at least those three areas they are putting effort in maintaining. It’s still a long way from where it was 10 years ago, but worth playing for $30 bucks.

Sad. A shell of its former self. It was like visiting a loved one you know is dying. Fungus on the greens, no maintenance of bunkers whatsoever, no second cut just dirt and weeds. No cart service. The guy in the pro shop had to run over to the snack bar to help us. Just sad. Save your money and let the owner sell it already. All of us locals would be better served with more housing than a goat track.

Not worth the price

Overpriced and under- maintenanced. Greens are dry and sometimes bare, sand traps are hard, fairways are considered rough anywhere else, and all areas are overgrown with weeds. I rarely have a negative review, but for this course to charge $42 when Orange County National was charging just 10 bucks more on the same day and time with prime conditions is just mind- numbing. I will never be back.

Awesome course. The greens are nice and the fairways are always kept to knotch. Kudos to the maintenance crew.As far as the course goes, its not as open as most courses in the area, there are lots of opportunities for balls to drift into trees (or water on occasion). If you have wild shots that veer left or right a lot this course may not be as fun for you as some of the more forgiving courses in the area. If you are looking for a challenging course that is kept up, Stoneybrook east is for you.

Have played here for several years now and it’s had its ups and downs but pretty much a decent track. Number 16 is one of the hardest holes for me.

I enjoy this very inviting golf course and return to play there whenever I am in Orlando area.It is a wonderful layout for any golfer at any skill level. The new golf carts are GREAT!

In decline, residents around the course are rude. Greens are meh. School bus stops that allow parents to illegally park up and block entrances are quite annoying and parents look at you like their not parked in the way of everybody.

We really enjoyed our round!

This course trumps any in a 5-8 mile radius. What keeps me coming back is the friendly staff and their willingness to take care of returning customers. Extremely veteran, first responder, and student friendly.

AMAZING COURSE!!! the staff at Stoneybrook is friendly and helpful!! the course itself is a beautiful and challenging 18 hole trail. the course offers a full practice area including a driving range and short game facility. I for one will be back many, many more times!!!

This place is a dump....you will be lucky if you can get a round in less than 5 hours. Greens where is terrible shape and the course looked like they have turned the sprinklers on in months. I will never go back.

Played 9 yesterday. Very conditions. Greens inconsistent. Fairways horrible. Just not very a pleasing to the eye.

As nice as this course is, it lacks organization and management as we know everythg is a direct reflection of the management or ownership.1. Running behind tee times. my tee time was for 11:39 and an hour later am still waiting for a cart.2. Short on carts.3. No starter no marshall to keep pace of play.4. No paring from club house.5. No beer cart.6. Singles were allowed to play solo even with patrons waiting.7. Slow at the turn.It is the last day of the year and the last time i visit this course, no friendly at all, in my oppinion and experience. Sorry to say such things about a course.

Played here today. Absolutely aweful. The greens, sand traps, and tee boxes are in horrendous shape. Not at all worth the $40.

Should be called Phoneybrook or Stoneyhood as the other communities call it. Decrepit, worn out, crumbling roads and a golf course that was nice 10 years ago. HOA has been looting the poor naive homeowners. Avoid at ALL cost. Eastwood is a much better choice if youre set on East Orlando

Course is beautifully constructed and makes for 18 challenging holes.

Garbage course , save your money and go elsewhere where.

As of 9/29/15, this course is not in good condition. The rough is not maintained and worst of all, the greens are terrible. Numerous bad spots on every green. The staff was uncooperative with us when we attempted to reschedule, because of rain, use of an expiring (purchased) coupon.

Poor condition had potential to be good layout wise but needs time and money spending on it to bring it up to a reasonable standard!
