We thought what a great idea since we had vouchers to play here, we would stay here.To start it’s a private club not a resort, we showed up thinking different. After a somewhat bad review that i have I was called by the GM and we had a chat we resolved it is a private club not a resort, so our expectations were a bit high.As a private club it’s good!We liked the Bay Window, their main restaurant, we had a couple drinks and some very good chips they were excellent.Service has been excellent, and food good, we had dinner here as well, and it was very good.We played golf the next day, great course, enjoyed playing. We did discover that women at this private club are not treated equally, example, men have a bar and tv in their locker room and a men’s club, we did not find that to be true about the women’s locker room, according to an employee who was in the men’s club room.We discovered this looking for a place to watch the golf game after we arrived. It is also a bit dated, it appears it has not been updated for some time and it could use a facelift, just saying, although as I said earlier it is not a resort hotel but a private club for members only or invited guests.

Obviously a gem of a golf course. Has the character and of course the history that other courses in the area lack.Staff is always exceptional. Food (including the egg salad sandwich) are amazing.Greens drain quickly and are among the best you can play in Orlando.Practice facility is amazing as is the classic locker room with lockers for an endless amount of professional golfers. Dont miss out on the legendary rain drop showers. They also do a dinner for our event each year and food, service and setting is first class. Our fore caddy Austin was brilliant.

Loved the location and the resort amenities - very relaxing atmosphere, very much had a private club vibe than a main stream hotel. During our stay we did not see any children guests and gave it that special adults only feel. Hotel room was spacious and loved having out own patio outside our door.

Even though golf was not on the agenda this visit, this property offers a level of service not experienced in a typical hotel; as one benefits from that fact that this is also a Private Club. Cheryl in the Mens Lounge was awesome, and even went into the Private Liquor Storage to find a bourbon not stocked at the bar! The front desk staff is second to none. And at a price well below 4 and 5 start local venues.

This is a beautiful hotel and golf course. The staff is great and service was excellent. The rooms have excellent blackout curtains however I found the beds to be uncomfortable and the sheets were old and needed to be replaced. The comforter seemed dusty. The tub was small and only holds about 5 inches of water before it hits the drain. This hotel could easily be turned into a 5 star hotel with a little investment.

The lodge is beautiful, the grounds are well kept and the golf course is fantastic. The restaurants and bars are very nice. I was planning a stay and trip to the lodge for several months. I wanted to enjoy the private club atmosphere I have known before like Winged Foot, Westchester and Skytop clubs offer. I had been in touch with the lodge through reservations and online for an April stay. Upon reaching out last month I was told everything I needed and then a bombshell. I could enjoy all the amenities including golf but could not invite family to join me during my stay. I had wanted to treat my 89 year old father with a round of golf and lunch/dinner. After watching all the coverage this week of the Invitational and having met Mr Palmer at the Orlando Country Club during a members tourney I am convinced that this policy was not set or encouraged by him. I believe the current leadership and policies of the Lodge are missing significant opportunities by this members only policy. Sorry to say I have made other plans in the Orlando/Winter Park area.

TVs right out of the 1980s. No On Demand or anything other than separate channels. Need 55 inches and all the usual items contained on modern TVs. Also will then need new Wardrobes to hold them. Lighter in color so they don’t dominate the room as the present ones do. Everything else was fine and enjoyable. Restaurants and service first rate and all employees pleasant, friendly, and competent.

We played at Bay Hill as part of a 4 day golf trip, playing Champion/Challenger on a Sunday morning in May.Pros: Immaculate conditions; greens roll fast and true, but not unfairly so; layout incorporates many turns and modest elevation changes, with many bunkers and water on seemingly every hole, requiring you to focus on every shot; relatively wide fairways allow you to approach each hole in multiple ways, which is much more interesting than pure target golf; the practice area is large and replicates on course playing conditions; multiple tee selections to suit all skill levels; locker room is top tier; at under $200 for the round, a relative bargainCons: It would be a nice touch if the carts had GPS, which would have helped us on our first time on the courseOverall, with the combination of interesting golf and great aesthetics, I enjoyed Bay Hill more than any of the other Top 100 courses I have played, and will definitely replay the course soon.

Night staff was definitely more accomodating than day. it was a long day and we had planned to stay somewhere else and it was not up to our standards so we chose this resort and was greeted by a lovely lady who could see the exhaust in us, with two toddlers. She found us a better rate which made the 5 hour drive (ending around midnight) worth it to a mom. when checking out this morning the older lady reversed everything and said the overnight staff must have been confused. obviously too tired to argue with a full day of activities for our boys. I let it go. However, when I went to leave she began talking to her fellow worker about how they always do this....which I was mu h more happy prior to the mornin engagement. If she feels the night staff cant handle it...then maybe she should switch shifts. kudos to the night staff for seeing a tired mom and trying to make her stay as comfortable as possible...shame on the morning shift for being so self absorbed.

Located in a beautiful and peaceful area of Orlando, situated centrally for access to Disney and Universal. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Did a stay and play with my father-in-law. It was an excellent experience from the moment we arrived. Golf and practice facilities are outstanding to say the least. Every staff member that we met (at the lodge, the breakfast buffet, the members lounge, the golf facilities) were extremely nice and made you feel very welcome. I really was only interested in playing the course when I made the reservation but after experiencing the convenience and nostalgia of the lodge I highly recommend paying for the stay in order to play. While your there do yourself a favor and have an evening Arnold Palmer in the members lounge.

We just got back from Bay Hill last night. Having booked many months ahead, it was on our bucket list and I wanted to surprise my friend for his 50th Birthday. From the time we arrived we felt so welcome..so part of a family. You are surrounded with the quaint lodge, the warm decor and the most hospitable staff, with one of the most incredible golf courses to be played. To Mr. Palmers Family, I would like for you to know that we felt his presence out there with us. We kept playing round after round (6) in 4 days, and if we could have...we would have played more. We kept the TV on in the evening the whole time on Arnies Story...loop after loop. What an Incredible human being, and we had the privilege to stay and play. We sincerely took it all in. Stopped and reflected at what Mr. Palmer saw so many years ago. We ended our stay with an afternoon reply round finishing up on 18 at sunset. So I would like to thank everyone at Bay Hill and to R.R for making this experience one in a lifetime. ️️ N.B/R.R
