Great league, my boy have played with South Orlando for roughly 8 years and we have enjoyed every minute of it. I am dismayed to see any negative reviews. The facilities are older but are very well maintained. Sometimes you dont get perfect coaches, but keep in mind, they are PARENT VOLUNTEERS!

Love SOBR!!! Baseball is life!! Love the opportunities this league has given to our son! Please do not listen to any other post saying negative things about this league, just go and check it out and see for yourself. Im positive that you will love it just as much as our family and friends do.

My son grew up on these fields and learned a lot - the league itself has been great. The facilities, under the City of Orlando, are a mess compared to Delaney Park and other city fields. Parents need to apply pressure to the mayor and commissioners (since SOBR leadership does not) to improve these fields. The players deserve to have nicer facilities, just like Delaney Park. You can make it happen!

AWESOME LEAGUE! Great for players who love the game and great for parents to spectate. This is a league that helps you grow, learn, respect the game, show off your talent, and so much more but most importantly have fun! This league is Home!

Great place to sign your kid(s) up. Had my son playing baseball, and my daughter softball for several years there, and now most of my little cousins play there. Recommend this place.

A league that allows coaches who do not have knowledge and focus on just winning games and not on teaching them how to play properly, that’s tells me that I got to the wrong place. My experience was. In 8u with my daughter who plays softball, she was selected by a team whose head coach is Megan Fuller, who does not have any kind of game knowledge, does not teach girls properly. it lowers the self-esteem of its players, in short, totally a super bad experience. I do not recommend a league like that, which does not encourage learning first.Last season the team where my daughter was, they won the season in South Orlando, when they went to the big tournament, which makes a choice of the teams. The heat coach of that team was the cousin of one of the directors of the league, Megan Fuller! When it is evident that he must be the heat coach of the team it should be the champion or the one in a better position in the standing who directs that type of tournament.

Very unorganized league for softball. coaches can never be on the same page and arguing on the field in front of the girls. my daughter loves the sport but when u single her out because of her weight and that she can run fast enough but yet shes the same like the others on the team. my family loves the sport and always encouge to be better and do ur best. sad to look move to another league and cant believe so much better and not discrimation.

This was our first time playing Babe Ruth. Our team ended up winning our district which was awesome but didnt like how our girls always got switched to different positions. They didnt get the opportunity to ever learn a position well and when they didnt preform well during the games our coach rode them hard. We made All-Stars and we were under the assumption that we would have a different coach for All-Stars. Our new coach brought in our regular season coach to take over as head coach and the chaos continued. Girls never practiced in one position and were switched around and got rode hard when they didnt perform well in games. Im very disappointed in the coaching decisions that were made during our All-Star season. We will not be returning to play with those fun sponges. I mean they really took the fun out of the game for our daughter.

For years, I have been to many games at South Orlando Babe Ruth since my God daughter and many little cousins of mine have been playing. I now have My Girls who have been playing Softball For a year now with South Orlando. This Season they are playing Tball because There were no coaches to take up softball for 6u team which is ok because they were not turned away, they were offered the opportunity to play tball. I was a bit worried since they would be playing with boys, but girls have adjusted so well. They have learned so much in one year and I owe it all to the coaches. Coach Megan and Coach Max have been great with the kids. These Coaches do not get paid for what they do and dedicate their free time for our kids to learn the sport. We only get Two practices a week but a lot gets done in the little time we have. We have won games and we have lost games and Girls are happy either way. Its all about learning the fundamentals and having fun at this age. My girls enjoy it and look forward to practices and games all the time. So as a parent Who has done both softball and tball at South Orlando, I highly recommend South Orlando Babe Ruth.

South Orlando is run by a group of racist people if you aren’t a part of their “click” no matter how well your child plays they are treated unfairly. Try another league!
