I’ve been a season ticket holders for years and have enjoyed most of the plays and the intimate setting. The actors are hard working and delightful. Not impressed with management. Tried to get a credit for my son’s ticket since he needed emergency surgery the day of the play, and they were very unhelpful. The rest of the family attended and witnessed a Down syndrome girl get kicked out at intermission for not being able to keep a mask on. She has special needs and was away from people not in her party. A little compassion and understanding would go far.UPDATE: I did call and talk to Brooke, and she confirmed their policy of no refunds but issued a gift certificate for the value of the ticket. This was basically what I asked for in the first place, so I am pleased with this. Seems like their communication within the company could be better

A small stage, old theater with charm and it was an amazing experience. They had a intermission with snacks and drinks. The actors are talented and kept my attention. Would go again for sure!

I would absolutely recommend the Hale Center Theater in Orem! I have been coming to shows for years and I will continue to do so for many more years to come. I’ve enjoyed my opportunity to both see shows and work on a show here. I love the atmosphere of the theater and I’m constantly impressed with all they can accomplish in this space. We saw Sense and Sensibility, a novel I struggle to tolerate in the best of times. BUT they did it right! It was fun and hysterical. Despite COVID we felt comfortable and safe. The theater was well organized, and as always, the actors were top notch.

I have enjoyed attending shows here for years! Small and cozy theatre in the round. Each show Ive attended makes full use of the theatre, drawing audiences into the action. Always great performances. Most recently caught Newsies and loved the performances and the high energy choreography of dances. Everyone seems like they really enjoy what theyre doing and that comes through fully.

A beloved theater that never disappoints. It is a place of spectacular storytelling. I have been moved to tears by beautiful performances and also spent evenings filled with laughter. It is a true local treasure.

I have been attending Hale Center events since I was young. It has enriched my life. They have the amazing ability to be a community theater when we need a community theater while at the same time bringing Broadway quality talent to Orem. My children have been to the camps and they come away loving the arts and with great experiences. I cannot say enough how much I love the HCTO. Fan for life!

You wouldnt think something so special could come from such a small building, but its plays are always spectacular with truly remarkable talent. My wife and I absolutely love coming here to see plays.

This is a cozy, family oriented, in the round style theatre. The Hales built this theatre some time ago in Orem and it has gained quite a lot of success.Yes. There is a larger venue in Salt Lake City. However, if your not into BIG crowds, this is the place to go for original home grown theatre. The actors, the ambiance and the audience lend to a wonderful experience.There is not a bad seat in the house. A perfect view from any angle. The floor is sectional, allowing for rotation, and rising elements from below the stage. It is wonderfully surprising what this theatre can provide.You wont be disappointed!

The plays are always great entertainment. However this experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Let me explain.It was not the play. It was the hypocrisy of the establishment. Posted out in the parking lot and in the foyer are signs. These sign say.. masksb must be worn at all times by all people. ... Maintain social distancing 6 feet apart.So when the play started guess what the actors were not wearing masks. And it was a sell out performance so everyone was sitting shoulder to shoulder. So when I removed my mask an employee came over and told me to put it back on at that time I asked him if he noticed the hypocrisy inside the theater. He looked at me and said. And I quote. We maintain and conform to all CDC guidelines. Needless to say I kept my mask off..Oh the hypocrisy of people who dont understand the truth.

Very moving professional performance. Every aspect of the production was excellent. The theater covered all the guidelines in fine form. I hope this show has a bright future!

Just saw Blink. Best play of year. Great actors, super script and message. Love how they separate family groups to maintain social distance.

It is amazing what the cast and crew can accomplish on such a small stage and I love the innovation they infuse in their shows. I also appreciate that I can trust that their shows are clean and family friendly.

This theater may be small, but it is jam-packed with talent and great service. The shows are excellent, and the staff is always courteous and helpful. I definitely recommend this theater!

Been going for years. Theatre in the round is a cool experience. Very intimate compared to other venues where youre way far from the stage.

I love this theater! Its set up in a round so you feel close to the stage wherever you sit. There are great actors and plays there. Its fun to take the kids to plays too. I always enjoy my time there.

We love Hale Center Theater. They always do a wonderful job. With all the covid concerns they worked hard to space out the audience and seat only your group together with large space between other parties. All audience members also had to wear masks. Any play here would be worth it. The stage is small and intimate. There is no such thing as a bad seat.

I have been going to this theater ever since I was a little kid. I love every single play that is performed. They always put so much effort into every play. 10/10, I will come back again.

Hale Center Theater Orem is bringing back live theater safely in the COVID age. The restrictions are reasonable: masks, more distance between groups, and procedures for handling intermission. My only complaint is that our view from our seats on the north side partially obscured some action on a lower level of the stage due to a major props location. But that was compensated by having nearly front-seat views of the actors for most other parts of Little Women.

I love this theater-always fun, always classy! They are being Covid-19 cautious and doing a great job at physically distancing people in such a little theater.

Having worked in a community theater as a youth I have always loved to go and see plays and musicals and Hale Center Theater in Orem does not disappoint. This is a theater in the round style stage, so you are much closer to the action (you walk on the stage to get to your seats, and the front row has their feet on the stage). Some plays are a bit more interactive and you are right there.It is great being so close so you feel you are right in the middle of the performance and can see the expressions on the actors faces very clearly.They are in the process of building a new location (that I am sure will have more seating), and the only fear I have with that is it may be too big and that you will miss out on the up close and personal feel of this location.

Always a good night when you get to go to the Hale for a play. Social distancing worked. Feel safe.

Fun place to see plays. Last play we saw there was good. We had a really great time. I took my Mom to see the play.

Good theater with good plays. You can see the stage from well from nearly every sear in the theater. Fun family activity or activity tondo with friends.

Zero respect for their artists. The actor’s union, Actors Equity Association, currently does not allow for professional actors to perform. Hale Center has such little regard for their actors, they will not abide by professional standards.

This is a classic place for a lot of Orem residents, much smaller venue then the one in draper, but the quality of performances are just as good. The people who perform here love theater and make it very enjoyable for their audience. Ive never had a bad experience here, they have a good selection during each season. Tickets sell fast. Their are a few awkward spots, but even then you can still see from each viewpoint.

We watched The Christmas Carol there. The acting, singing, and humor was very entertaining. I was expecting the usual, like so many Christmas Carol movies, but it was very well done and a lot of new spins were added. They included a lot of Christmas music, and they sang really well. They did a great job of setting in the message of this story. I really liked that it was a smaller venue. The highest rows are only around 20 feet away from the stage. You are always close to the action.

Love Hale Center Theater in Orem! I grew up in Utah county so I’ve been here a few times over the past 20 years :) even though their stage and seating is more limited than their Sandy counterpart, their shoes are much more intimate and dare I say creative. I also participated as a character when Orem did their summer parade and it was a blast! Go see a play here and you’ll be glad you did.

The shows here are always extremely well done. It is a very small venue but they are very creative with how they use the space and make great use of technology. Ive never seen a bad show! I highly recommend.

The space could be called either intimate or cramped. I think that it is great to be close to the actors. We saw a comedy and enjoyed the production. We have been to the theater many times. My recollection is that it has been sold out or nearly sold out every time. This level of support and anticipation add energy to each production.

Great plays performed by excellent actors. Many have performed professionally in New York and other bigger city locations. Very good selection of plays such as: Annie, Daddy Long Legs, Christmas Carol and Little Mermaid.

I love having a really neat place to see plays! The actors are amazing and the decorations are truly inventive and Awesome. I forget that Im watching a play sometimes its so good.

Such fun, good quips, banter, loved the acting. It is a very intimate audience so every seat is good and you are right there in the magic. Great prices, great performance! My wife and I have a new tag line from this last show

Our absolute favorite date night spot! We get season tickets every year and everything we have seen has always been amazing. We love Hale Center Theater Orem!

I love this venue. It is cosey and close to the stage. The productions are wonderful and they do great work here. If you havent been to one of their plays, you are missing out. They are reasonable priced and typically cost about $24 to $30 per ticket. There is a concessions area as well as a drinking fountain if you dont want to purchase a drink. There is plenty of parking, especially on the south side of the building.

This is a decent indoor theatre with young actors from UVU, and Im sure I will be going back at some point. I cant remember what the performance was though.

We saw Thoroughly Modern Millie and it was spectacular. The cast did a wonderful job and all the scene changes were seamless. We felt like we were a part of the show and enjoyed every minute.

Phenomenal productions and excellent acting

Tickets can be pretty pricey, but the shows are phenomenal! They really know how to book casts who know what they’re doing. Parking is easy and my son is always so excited to wait outside and meet some of the cast after shows.

Don’t let the exterior fool you—this theater looks tiny (and it is smaller than the average theater), but the shows here are incredibly! You can expect to see extremely talent across, well-choreographed dance numbers, detailed sets, and an incredible use of the small space.

We saw the play the man with the pointed toes. It was very good and had us laughing most the night. The acting was very good and made the play very enjoyable to watch. We are very glad we purchased season tickets this year.

The talent here is always incredible! I love the history of their small stage and will probably be sadly nostalgic when they move to their new location. You will love the light-hearted performances such as comedies and musicals that are always family friendly. Ticket prices are a bargain.

Incredible shows here! Seriously professional and Broadway-status talent. I love the black box energy and the props are always amazing. Ive also heard really awesome things from actor friends who participate in the shows. This is always a wonderful way to spend an evening!

This was a really cool place to see theatre. Its small so no matter where you sit, you are close enough to see the facial expressions of the actors. The seats are a little narrow... So it would be less comfortable for a large or heavy person.

I have been attending plays at Hale in Orem since the eighties. Always five star performances and sets. The original music is a favorite feature for me. The theater is cozy and the parking is not great on a busy night but the quality of entertainment is worth going every time.

Hale Center theater does not disappoint. It is quaint & cozy and the performances are really good. You really cant get a bad seat. We have sat in various spots and theyre all decent. The actors & actresses take the time to greet you after the show. They really enjoy what they do and I always try to tell them what a great job they did. I could never memorize & remember all those lines. They deserve a lot of credit. Im also amazed at how clever the theater is with the set & props in such a small space.

I have never had a bad experience at this theater. After seeing Million Dollar Quartet tonight (one of many shows weve seen at the Hale) my husband and I agreed that this is hands-down our favorite theater to see shows at in the country. Better than Broadway. Better than its sister theater up in Sandy. It is amazing what they can do with the size of the stage in this theater. The acting is always phenomenal. The thrust stage allows you to be close to the action no matter where you sit. I love the atmosphere at this theater. My hope is that they wont lose any bit of the magic that makes the Hale Center Theater Orem unique when it moves to its new location at University Place. Thanks for one Hale of a good time!

The show was great but it was a very very small venue and the seats are un believable close together literally like sardines in a can and the double sold are tickets so we got there and there were people trying to sit in the same seats we had like I said it was a good show the actors did a great job just the theater was kind of lack luster the way they pack people in there it blatantly obvious its all about them making money

Love coming here. So much talent no matter what show we come to see. The price is excellent given the quality performances. The ambiance is cozy and delightful. All our family love the chance to come here. Its a favorite gift idea to buy tickets to an upcoming show.

Im not ordinarily a play-watcher, but I was thoroughly impressed with the cast here, as well as being in a more personal theater setting. It was a clean, well organized environment. Good prices, too!

As a handicapped person, I always love going to the theater. Recently I had the privilege to attend a play called The Scrooge. Its a Christmas play that reminds you to give to the poor. I had a little difficult time following the story but my wife explained it to me out loud as the play went along. Helpful! If I didnt hear a funny bit she would repeat it out loud for me! How do they learn all those parts? I enjoyed a Twizzler and Soda at halftime. If there was a fire in there I would be the last guy out, but worth it to feel the Christmas spirit and see some people from my ward

Small theater which makes the performances close. The staging for the production was very ingenious. The actors were very talented, voices and dancing. So much fun and very inexpensive.

The set and play was excellent (Charlies Aunt). The seating is tight for us over-large Americans. The reservation website does indicate larger sized seats so keep that in mind.Set front row near the entrance. Although quite close the design of the stage makes them very good seats.

Always a delight, we have even made this theatre a family tradition for the Christmas Carol. They are definitely a force to recon with in the live theater world.

Our family loves this place so much it has become tradition to get season tickets. The productions are always well done. In my opinion the prices are reasonable, I just wish there were more plays to attend.

Intimate theater, highest-level professional production. Highly recommend. We take our family to every show from 12 to 19. Fun activity for ages 12 and up. Could use some better treats at intermission, wink wink?! Such a unique way to experience live theater.

Its cute, but the stairs to the green room are always noisy during the show. The concession is a bit sad, too. We got wassail that was cold, and a sticky Snickers.

So excellent! The whole performance was fantastic and engaging. Even though it was a smaller stage I easily lost myself in the play. I highly recommend for date night or any fun night!

Peter and the Starcatcher was the first show I watched here and LOVED the performance so much I went back and watched the show 4 more times. A fun little theatre with good performances.

Its great! The acting is great! The comedic timing and sets are awesome! Sometimes depending on seating it can be hard to get up during the performance to go to the bathroom, but other than that, its a nice, small, in the round theater with great talent!

I have been patronizing this lovely lil theater since I was a young girl. Hale Center Theater was the dreamiest place asa child and continues to bring class and charm into my life. I love theater in the round and they always do such an amazing job. The caliber of the actors and staff is absolutely top shelf. I have seen so many plays here and always love to go back. Their recent play, Sense and Sensibility, was UNBELIEVABLE. Yall, I aint playing. If you enjoy the theater, Hale Center is the place for you. #blessed

I came here with some of the best people ever. Ive been up to the theater in sandy but my first time in the one in orem. The actors have amazing talent and I loved it! The only thing that made it awful was a stupid photographer taking pictures every second. So many clicks. Even in the silent parts this lady ruined everything and I didnt like that nothing was done.

The theater is very small which makes for an amazing personal experience! A Christmas Carol was very well done and overall Im very happy with my visit.

The first time we visited HCT was at the old West Valley location. We loved it because it felt like it took us back in time when people used to visit the theater and dress nice. So when we came to the Orem one next, it took us some getting used to. However, this year we were gifted season tickets and enjoyed every show!! Its a very intimate atmosphere. Every seat is the best seat in the house!! The cast is always extremely talented and do an amazing job! For being a small theater, there is no limit of what the stage crew can do with design and props! They amaze us every time!! We cant wait to continue our tradition of seeing plays at the Orem HCT.
