Decent park that is rampant with homeless people and prime candidates for COVID19. Mask wearing is a must.Lots of room to walk your dog on leash. Many paved sidewalk areas that are easy to get around. Park needs some loving care but otherwise its just your average park.

Great place to go for a quick run whether youre looking to run east or west this parks trails will take you there. One cool thing about Hart Park is the trail that goes under glassell st and the 22 bride on over to Santiago Park in city of Santa Ana. I highly recommend taking someone with if u decide to take that trail. Towards the back of the park I love the uphill action towards the football field. The park is always being maintained by groundskeepers. Ideal location for BBQ.

Great park! If anyone tells you that its like parks in L.A. or that there is an L.A.-situation there has never been to L.A. you can only guess what skin color they got. Born and raised in Old Towne. I feel safe bringing my kids here.

Its a wide open park with lots of free parking there is also a community pool and a large baseball diamond. lots of open space for barbecues and 2 main trails for running the West trail leads back to the city and the East trail leaves towards the Santa Ana river trail. The park is safe clean and inviting.Update. 10/2019: still a lovely park to visit and hang out. During the day... be careful on the further edges of the park ie..the freeway area... a few homeless people will be in this area...often asking for handouts or soliciting help. Careful restrooms. Dont go alone...shady people are sometimes found here. Careful with people riding bikes at high speed, those with backpacks and regular clothes... often can be hazardous when walking along sidewalks.

I practically lived at Hart park all my life. Great place for playing sports and other activities, at least during the morning of course. Towards the evening and night things get sketchy. I once got approached by homeless man out of no where and he proceeded to verbally harass me. There’s lots of homeless and not all my encounters with them were pleasant. A homeless man literally tried taking my dog and I’m not kidding. Another time a homeless man followed a 2 of my female friends into the women’s restroom and I literally had to call out the guy and push him to have him leave them alone. The many homeless people there tend to give the park a bad reputation. This park isn’t how it once was in all honesty

Lots of 5-OH running off the homeless. And of course treating them like garbage. Its a great place to spend your days and the restrooms and grounds are kept fairly clean, all they have to do is to stop all of the over policing by overly aggresive law enforcement. And of course the homeless need to be a bit more helpful and assist in keeping the place a little cleaner. A little something for everybody.

Hart Park is well kept and it has excellent amenities, such as softball/baseball fields, tennis courts, beach volleyball courts, playground equipment, multiple barbeques with tables and large open grass areas for soccer and other activities. Unfortunately there arent any basketball courts, but it has horseshoes. It also has a pool area that is open during the Summer months. There are homeless people doing what homeless people do, but they keep to themselves.
