Magnificent place! Food is exceptional along with facilities and homes.

It was like I just stepped into the past and entered a giant estate complete with golden fixtures and feeling like royalty. I was invited by a member to have lunch with them. The facility was exclusive, the foyers, hallways, and rooms were covered with beautiful pictures, the walls and carpets, corresponded perfectly with the decor of each section. Several times, I felt like I was visiting the Biltmore house. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

The golf course is getting renovated and is going to be in tip top shape come this fall when it reopens. Golden Ocala strides itself in being all that it can be and then some. Beautiful place and definatly worth a visit! Ps. Check out the world equestrian center going up next door

The Salmon was delicious, service was excellent. The dessert? OMG The music was tremendous, great song list and the vocals/PA system were superb.

Nice place to visit. Sure couldnt afford to live there. Beautiful tennis facility, pool, spa, workout facility, etc. Food at restaurant was very good, but a bit on the pricey side to me. $8 house wines and I think most entrees were $25+.

Nestled in an area far from the heart of Ocala, Golden Ocala is worth the drive if you can get in. The surrounding grounds are beautiful and the bar tenders know how to pour a drink. I dont golf, but judging from the many older retired men around me, it is an excellent place to put-s around. The food was fantastic and the views are lovely. Feast on them both at the same time and sit outside.

Raspberries is excellent! The service is excellent! The prime rib, excellent! Desserts & cappuccino, excellent! Decor....excellent!Thank you for a superb evening!!!

Was here in 1997 - the course was spectacular then, although the public could get on at that point. Came to visit my brother in 2004 and found it was private. Went to the LPGA tourney there in 2016. What a great time. Its a shame they dont have the tourney anymore. When I played it the conditions were perfect, so when I was walking the LPGA I couldnt believe it was even better. To bad for me its private now. At least I got to play once. The replica holes are outstanding and I gotta say the others are just as good.

Golden Ocala is a wonderful private country club that offers many amenities to its member, from tennis lessons and black light tennis games, to the outstanding 18 hole golf course and 19th hole bar/lunch called Knickers. Dinner in the newly renovated Raspberries is outstanding! Chef Rick does a wonderful job on the menu and the dry age NY Strip done in house is exquisite. A must visit.

The brunch was fantastic and the place is lovely. I came back in 1988 and these people wouldnt believe what it looked like then. Its a beautiful place and well done.

The Brides grand entrance coming down the outdoor staircase to the guests seated on the lawn is spectacular! I officiated a romantic ceremony under the wedding oak beneath a glowing evening sky. This venue one of my favorites!

Great course ! Beautiful practice range and putting green. I loved the course especially hole #6 which allowed me a hole in one on Oct. 4, 2017. A great day.

The grounds are absolutly beautiful. They have full crews put maintaining the property. Its beauty is unmatched by anything in the area. The lengths they go for the weddings makes it look your famous! Thr golf course is still in the top 30 in the nation. The staff are always friendly and willing to go the extra mile!.. And Chef Rick... amazing food it isnt just food its eye candy... 5 of 5 will do again

Excellent wedding venue.

This was amazing for Ocala Aquatics to be able to host the Casino Night here. This was my first time here and it was so breath taking.

The grounds are spectacular, beautifully maintained and lush. I enjoy the drive up to the main building. The decor is unique and very inviting, everywhere you look there is something that catches your eye. I recently visited Alisa Carlinos beautiful office, breathtaking. She gave us a tour of the venues and grounds, absolutely beautiful. She is very knowledgeable and a pleasure. I have had lunch poolside enjoyed a very tasty salad. Dinner was delicious especially the prailine shell with ice cream, so decadent. All in all a wonderful experience.

Golden Ocala Golf and Equestrian Club was a beautiful venue with great scenery and luxurious features. Unfortunately, our experience with Julianne was sub par at best. Prior to the wedding date, the experience with Julianne went quite well It seemed that she was quite experienced and knowledgeable about hosting a wedding event with a fairly large group of guests (approx. 270+). She made some promises prior to the event that during the wedding event were never executed (i.e., opening all three (3) doors from the Raspberry room to the Ballroom for our guest to see what is happening). The table number placement was poorly executed which caused some guest that were intended to sit inside the ballroom (close relatives) to sit outside on the veranda. She had a copy of the seating arrangements that we e-mailed to her prior to the event which also included the table numbers. Her attention to detail is quite lacking in my opinion. One of the biggest complaints I have with Julianne is her unwillingness to work with us when a hurricane (Hurricane Matthew to be specific) was headed towards Florida. Our final guest count was due on Wednesday. A majority of our guest flew from out of state and out of the country (Id say this accounted for approximately 2/3 of our guests) on Thursday for our wedding but approximately 30-40 guests could not make it due to flight cancellations and flights not being available to fly in earlier. In our contract, it states Cancellations due by acts of God will receive considerations. While this applies to cancelling the event completely, some consideration should have been taken about the guests that could not attend. The excuse from Julianne was that they already ordered the food (which was mediocre) for the wedding. On top of the food cost that we had to pay for the guest that could not attend due to the hurricane, we also had to pay for the liquor package (per person). This resulted in approximately $5,000.00 additional for food and drinks for people that couldnt attend due to acts of god (i.e., flight cancellations due to hurricane). On top of the the $5,000.00 additional that they charged for guests that could not make it, she charged us an additional $1,500.00 for gratuity and service charge. We did get that refunded, however, after contacting her. Its a shame that spending so much at this venue while getting borderline terrible customer service (I will say that our guests, except for a select few, had a wonderful experience). My recommendation is to have your agreement between Golden Ocala Golf and Equestrian Club and yourself be reviewed by a lawyer so you dont get into a situation we did. Also, make sure you check all the details when the room is being setup prior to the event. Because Julianne is very unwilling to alter things once she has them setup her way. I think this entire experience for my wife and I was completely terrible due to Juliannes lack of attention to detail.
