This place is so peaceful. Everyone is friendly. Well behaved dogs can walk without leashes. Just a great place to unplug and breathe.

The Place is beautiful and worth visiting, but please beware of possible car burglary (broken windows) at moon gates parking place. Our car and several others had the passenger seat window broken when we were back, around 5 pm on a Saturday (08/08/20). Its a shame but try to park somewhere with more people around...

Easy access to Redwood Park, less crowded than main entrance on Skyline.

Pretty much one of the best places of the trail. Almost always parking. Close to the backside of Chabot space Center, dogs off lease, and solid biking all over! Do your part and leave it better than you found it. Enjoy!!

This is the prettiest walk in the Oakland hills. During the summer, when its dry out, you can go there at dusk and the fog rolls in and sprinkles rain. Goats graze on the hillsides, eating the grass and brush to keep the fire danger low. And the big silver silo of the Chabot Space & Science center juts out of the redwoods and looks futuristic.

I love this entrance as it skips the way crowded Skyline Gate and you can immediately drop down into the canyon away from the crowds on the ridge trails.

Great entry point in to Redwood Regional! All downhill to start so the hike out is work, but feels less crowded than some other gates.

Beautiful place for a modest hike/walk. You can head towards Skyline staging area or walk toward the Chabot Observatory and Roberts park. Either way is great walk with gorgeous views. It can get a little muddy after the rains so choose your trails wisely unless youre wearing the proper hiking gear.

Beautiful trail! There are lots of fun paths to choose from. There was ample parking near the start of the trailhead

My favorite entrance to Redwood Regional Park. Love the Tres Sendas / French Trail loop that dips down into the trees and has some rigorous ups and downs. Great for cooling off on a hot day due to the canopy and very dog-friendly trails that are too narrow to allow mountain bikes or switchback.

Good trailhead, limited parking though. Be careful where you park though some of the locals will call if you are parked out of line.

Good forest trails, kinda hard. A bit crowded depending on the trail you use. A good choice for a hot day since most of it is shadowy

My favorite access point to Redwood Regional Park. Ive never had trouble parking even though the lot is small. Also, there are no bathrooms so plan accordingly.
