I first read about it a decade ago but never got to visit it. It’s a cool tunnel, with graffiti and an eerie urban legend. Great spot to take photos or just check it out if you are a horror/legend enthusiast. I highly recommend wearing rubber shoes because of the water in the tunnel. Smells a little off but that’s expected. Lit a lighter, didn’t hear any screaming. But definitely a cool place to visit, we were joined by several other enthusiasts who walked around trying to investigate the urban legend.

It’s a tunnel! And It went exactly as expected. We didn’t hear any screaming nor did we see anything ‘spooky’. But we did enjoy the creepy vibes the tunnel gave. The tunnel itself can be seen in the Stephen Kong adaptation of “the dead zone” and is a nice and free way to spend an hour in st Catherine’s.

Its muddy and smelly, but its also a great bit of local legend, so Im glad I went. Not very spooky during the daytime, but makes for fun photos. If you go through, hang a left, follow the trail, hang another left over the small wooden bridge. Youll go up a hill and end up on a bridge over the QEW. Its loud.

Been reading about this place for years. Ever since I lived in Edmonton. Since moving to Windsor, Ive visited Niagara Falls multiple times over and over. And never went here for whatever reason. Just on the weekend me and my fiancee finally got the chance to visit this place. While nothing happened, the experience of the tunnel and the story behind it just made it so fun. The tunnel itself can be creepy...go in the evening. Will I visit it again? I definitely plan to, and at a later time in the day. Ill probably make this a consistent visit every time I go to Niagara Falls now just for the fun of it. Do I recommend visiting this tunnel? Absolutely! Even if nothing happens, its the experience of being there behind a tragic story (if thats even real). Go see it. Highly recommended.

Interesting although kind of spooky tunnel- local legend says it was named thusly because of a burning house nearby :/ . Its situated at a deadend dirt road, on the Bruce Trail and merges with the Laura Secord trail. In Spring the tunnel has a stream running through it. Takes a great pic!

The name comes from what I heard is a father lost custody rights to his daughter and he got mad scared the daughter away and he found her in the tunnel poured gasoline on her and set her on fire and thats where the name comes from. This is what I heard anyways from a video on YouTube.

Its exactly what it was intended to be, a drainage tunnel. Yes there is water flowing through it and most of the limestone is on the far side of the tunnel. The water is not deep and thus you can wade through without issues. However there is private property on the far side and a small creek

I decided to check out the screaming tunnel to see if it lives up to its legend of being haunted. I didn’t hearing any screams but when I walked through the tunnel to the other side I seen some dark strange figure along the wall. It was really creepy and I took a bunch of pictures to see if I could get anything digital. I’ll let you have a look at the picture at what looks like a little girl in the photo. It’s %100 authentic I played with the lighting to see the ghost a little better and that just about it.

I went with my dad. Was very historical and interesting. Good for people who like paranormal stuff but dont like getting too close to an acual ghost. I didnt see any ghosts while I was there but was still creepy. If you want to explore the tunnel go in the day but if you are ghost hunting go during the night time and bring matches. For an extra challenge, why dont you visit at 3 AM? And if you go at 3 AM, light your matches at 3:33 AM. Good luck!

We went there twice and explored area nothing happens. Now there is home nearby. Remind me of UK tunnels. Its advised females go there as maybe the spirit is attracted to them. Some people go there to smoke weed. Its good for a thrill. Keep in mind spirits are restless so they bother us. Some of us are magnets others are replents for spirits. Anyways have fun

If anyone wants to do this bring matches, Go into the middle of the tunnel light the match, It will light then go out on its own the girl 100 years ago was caught on fire from her parents divorce when the fire started in the house. (The House Was On The Little Hill Heading Towards The Other End) I didnt hear screaming when I did this but the match lit and went out seconds later that is the little girl. You can feel someone trying to reach out. Once done go out of the tunnel and light a match.

Tunnel wasnt as scary since we went with a big group, if you go with 5 or less people I am sure it would be extremely scary. Unfortunately we werent able to go further because there was a flood and none of us wanted to get our feet wet.
