Honestly beautiful, and truely relaxing. There are many trails. I have found my favourite route and will be back several times again. Trails are great for beginner hikers and even intermediate as well. There is just enough of a challange if you chose your route accordingly. There are some risky areas so make sure to yield signage and your capabilities. On the last hike I took we saw a family of deer. It was magical!!

An extremely beautiful trail within the Niagara region with varying levels of difficulty. There are also plentiful bouldering spots as cliffs are a common sight. Be aware that there is an elevation of approximately 250m and jagged edges and rocky hills. Great for views of the fall foliage!

My 9 year old was able to do it with some help.A resident of GTA for 25 years it was good to see one of main inlets that feeds our Lake Ontario.Must visit place, refreshing hike and if you catch it on a great summer day like we did, you have found yourself an oasis.

This place is a hidden gem in Niagara Falls for an amazing hike with views of the rapid waters of Niagara River and the geological rock formations with people bouldering from it. The centre is free to enter just pay for parking ($2.50hr). Get there early for parking as it fills up quickly. Washrooms are located at the entrance. Recommend that you use this before your journey as there is nothing when you get down there. Take a photo of the map before heading down the stairs. The stairs are the entrance and exit to the park. The map shows all the trails and trails are easily marked with symbols and ascending numbers. Wear good footwear as the paths are uneven and rocky. We did the Eddy Trail, all of River Trail, Cobblestone Trail back to Cliffside Trail to exit. That was 3 hours with stops for photos along the way. There are picnic tables free to use on site after your hike.

The Niagara glen is a beautiful and fantastic set of ravine trails and hikes as well as the most popular outdoor bouldering location in Ontario. Parking is paid by machine or by pass and is required.Although the trails are very well marked and mapped, the terrain is not recommended for casual hikers or those with improper footwear. That being said, for those with a love of the outdoors, this is a must hike spot with beautiful limestone pillars, fast turquoise water from the Niagara river, and an extensive group of trails that could occupy you all day.For the rock climbers, grab a copy of Ontario Bouldering the Niagara Glen to understand better the risks, routes, and opportunities the glen has to offer you.Enjoy!

It is long and scenic especially the river and whirlpool trais. All trails are also marked with numbers if the number increases it means you are moving forward .All trails are interconnected we did river trail first. The best way is to take the picture of the map with u which is displayed at the entrance of the hike. The starting point are stairs that go down to the trail. Undoubtedly good place to spend time.

Great place to go! Visited last week for the first time and it did not disappoint. Parking is paid by the hour and there are washrooms that are clean. I suggest a visit to the washroom before heading down to the trails. For those that haven’t been there before just a heads up you have to wear hiking shoes or shoes with good grip seeing as the paths are not always smooth. Take water so you can stay hydrated and remember the way down is easy but the way up is always a challenge. Take it slow! Look closely on the trees or huge rocks they will have little signs with icons indicating which trail you are on. We took the shells trail then ventured off on the fish trail.

What a great place to hike! Tons of great trails to choose from and I recommend taking a picture of the map before starting. A huge area for picnicking post-hike with public washrooms available and are very clean. The hikes are pretty rocky so definitely bring proper shoes and a water bottle. Great views of the Niagara river and the jet boats and tons of great little “lookout nooks” for pictures. The best views are on the Riverside Trail because you get to see the river from so many angles. We did a few trails and it took around 2 hours. Parking was very affordable as well. There’s quite a few activities in this area and you can easily spend the day here. We drove by a tree top trekking spot, butterfly conservatory, and botanical gardens. The trails are quite rugged, with lots of rocks and roots, so be sure to wear proper hiking boots. We hiked for 1.5 hours, and walked about 60% of the trails so each are quite short. The color of the water was amazing and seeing it from the forest-like setting was stunning. There were a lot of people right at the start and by the water but when you got out of that area it was very peaceful. You do have to wait in line for quite a while (maybe 20-30 minutes on a busy day) to go down the stairs into the glen as there is only one staircase and people use it to go up and down. I had been confusing the White Water Walk with the Niagara Glen Nature Centre. The White Water Walk was closed so we hit up the Glen Nature Centre. The main point is that its free, however you do have to pay for parking ($5 for 2 hours). You descend about 40 feet of stairs and then hike downward the rest of the way. My understanding is that the White Water Walk has an elevator and boardwalks. This is more rough and perhaps not for older people or people with mobility issues. We walked the entire River Trail, as well as the time it took to get to each end, in about 90 minutes. Great way to get some exercise on your holiday and not just spend money.

For some reason, we never visited this place until today, when we are still in pandemic and weather is good. And everyone in Toronto area seemingly thinks alon g the same line, the whole Niagara is packed and very hard to find parking.I ultimately found my parking in nearby Butterfly Conservatory, and we had such a good time in this Nature Center, which definitely deserves all good words and ratings here.Thee trail is very interesting, and one can go down all the way to the river, though some people might find it a little challenging, but super good for us. Some serious climbers brought foam paddings, bouldering there. My daughter, though also a serious climber, wasnt prepared for bouldering today, but still claimed along one cliff a little bit, and also got up thru a rock hole. For me, just see the view and river, and climb up and down, and get really good workout. Plenty of picnic tables, and we secured one even with panic crowd.

A popular nature park/hiking trail area in Niagara, this area is known for its outdoor activities. Popular activities are hiking, fishing along the Niagara River and Bouldering. Recommended during the fall to catch the fall colours and go on scenic hikes. The trails are moderate level in difficulty with one trail being the most difficult (mainly because of how far down it goes towards the river). This is also a public park so there are plenty of tables to use without having to venture down into the park for a hike.Parking is spread out along the Niagara Parkway which it is located around and there is also ample transit that passes through the area. This in on of my favorite hikes in and around the Niagara region. The trails are well marked. The trail isnt that long but difficultly level is moderate. The terrain is mostly rocky and could be difficult in rainy/wet conditions. You definitely need good hiking or running shoes. There are many beautiful spots along the Niagara river. So yes, you are going to get some of the best pics on this trail.Last time I went there was early August/2020 and the trail leading to the whirlpool was closed due to higher water levels. The water current in the river around this stretch is usually very high. For the most part, its Class 5 rapids (closer to the whirlpool is class 6) so please be careful when getting close to the water. There are some good spots for rock climbing as well. There are always groups of rock climbing enthusiasts with all their gear enjoying the challenging climbs. Also I noticed that a lot of people go out there to party and leaving their trash behind. Youll see a lot of trash such as beer cans and plastic bottles all along the hike. We need to keep the nature clean. There are trash cans at the beginning on the trail right by the staircase. Please do not leave your trash in the trails. Also note, this is one of the busiest trails around the region.

The Whoosh app advertised on the parking meters doesnt even work for the location. I bought a yearly parking pass (because the price is great), but still cant find a space during busy times. An amazing place with so much to explore!! I would definitely recommend the majority of this to people who are agile as it can be quite slippery and theres a lot of up and down on rocks. There is a trail that walks along the edge for a good 20 minutes with amazing views that is all level ground which I would recommend to anyone worried about their knees or is in a wheelchair, etc. For the lower portion that goes into the gorge, this place has an endless amount to explore and never gets old. There are even rock climbing groups!I used to avoid this place since its a tourist hot spot but honestly, its worth it and you can learn the right time to go for a quieter experience. You get amazing views of the rapids and can watch the water jets in summer. My only critique is that they still need more markers. Theyve improved it so much (I used to get lost and just go in circles til I got fed up and found my way out) but theres still a lot of room for improvement. I get asked constantly how do we get out of here? so there still needs to be better signage. I once met some older women that had been lost for almost an hour so we led them out to the stairs.Definitely check this place out for the views, just keep your bearings in mind if you are new to this place and unfamiliar with it!
