I Charnwood Park

Love charnwood, lots of Crystals to find in the hill, find em while the rocks are still there though!

Beware!Infested with Ticks!Took my 10 year old son here yesterday, access is limited at best.We spent about 2 hours looking for crystals and rocks as its a rock dump.I felt something on my neck grabbed it and it was a Tick, searched my son and he had 4 attached under his hairline, one attached on his neck along with a few crawling on his pants.As I was checking him he noticed 3 on my pant leg.The car ride home was fun too as we found 5 more crawling on us on the QEW, Frightening!!!Place is infested with ticks!, I havent even seen one before, until Charnwood Park!While its not the parks parks fault, I will NEVER return!If you go, bring tweezers and tick proof clothing with lots of spray containing Deet!Sure deet is bad for you, but so is lymes disease! or any of the 15 other diseases they could potentially carry.Be sure to check yourself inside and out as i found 2 in my underwear!As a man, this is not good!Ticks have no morals!Id avoid bringing children and pets as its been a traumatizing experience for my little man, and I cant think of anyone who wants to bring ticks home with them!Avoid avoid avoid!!

Great homeless encampment, I lived there 3 weeks last summer. Free lunch & dinner at Walmarts dumpster. Lots of swimming pools for bathing. Id recommend it to any bum in the falls area.

Other then a large playing area...a big empty field....tbere is basically only a baseball diamond with stone infield in the summer with a basketball court. There are garbage bins around the area. To the left of the courts is a childrens playground with a couple of benches. Add a picnic table or two and you have a decent park!! Nice job by the city and our mayor Jim Diodatti. PRodgers.
