Me and my Family love this park. We ride our bikes on the trail. They have rest areas through out the trail where there are little Gazebos by the lake. So beautiful.

Clean restroom. Walked the trail around the lake about 4 miles. Trail in good condition and well marked.Big kids playground area. Quiet place to sit to relax and read. I think Fall colors will look great once here. I will be back with my bike.

Lots of shade around the lake so my dogs dont overheat, wish i could throw them in the lake but people fish at every spot that you can get to the water so its filled with hooks and fishing line. The mountain trail is nice but DO NOT bring your dogs down that trail, about a quarter mile is heavily covered in broken glass and hasnt been cleaned up for the past 3 years

Great views. Good fishing. My only comment is bring a trolling motor for the boats. Paddling was no fun!

A great place for a walk, run, or bike ride. There is a big playground for the children and you can also fish here. Pretty over fished though so dont expect to catch any monsters. Mostly catch stock fish.

The park is clean, beautiful and a wonderful asset to the town of Newburgh. The trails are great and sitting near the lake and relaxing is especially nice. Its also a great place for kids to play and be close to nature. You can tell that the new parks commissioner, Jim Presutti, is proud of the park and all it has to offer - as he should be! It is so well cared for.

I love everything about this park. Its always clean and there is so much to do. You can hike the trails, fish and there is a great playground for the kids. There is also an area for adults to work out.

I love how clean it is at Chadwick, no garbage floating around on the ground, along with clean and up-to-date facilities. Just got my membership today and I dont regret it! Its a very nice place to go for a walk with me and my newborn. There are a couple trails, but I have only traveled the main trail that surrounds the lake at 4 miles long! and with frequent areas to sit and rest or just go off the trail and look over the lake, I dont feel rushed or crowded.

Fantastic playground equipment for kids of all ages, plus playground-style exercise equipment for adults; pavilion for picnics, and a beautiful lake to walk around; and basketball court and soccer field. If you cant find something you like here, parks may not be your thing.

The pavilions, the lake, hiking trails, benches, picnic tables, playground, fishing and rowboat rentals....all lovely. A very nice place to spend the day.

Beautiful fun short trails, gorgeous lake that you can rent canoes. Perfect place to rent for small parties or cook outs.

The BEST park in Orange County. $25 for Newburgh Residents and $45 for non-residents. Worth EVERY penny. They have boat rents to go and fish on the lake. You can also rent the pavilions for parties. They have one of the BEST playgrounds around. It is also very safe.

Great place for getting family and friends together for many activities. Hiking, biking, fishing, playground, basketball, baseball, soccer, and pavilions for rentals as well as bbq pits!

Great place for an afternoon jog. During the summer, the shade helps keep the area a bit cooler making the run less miserable. The whole loop around took about 4 and a quarter miles. The views are nice, the variation in elevation throughout the loop is nice, but i never saw any water stations around which may be a very nice touch.

I like this park, nice long walk, good for dogs, however there are no bags at the begining of the walk, so you need to remember to bring bags if you bring a dog. Also the bathrooms are closed because of cobid 19 so rember that before you start walking.

My dog is happy here. What else matters?

We had a church service and picnic there. Its a beautiful park. They have a large pavilion with plenty of picnic tables. There was a nice breeze keeping us nice and cool. Everything is in good condition. Restroom was very small though. There is handicap parking. I believe theres a poo there but we didnt swim. Also a gorgeous lake full of fish. Nice

Great park but dogs are a problem here. Owners choose not to leash their dogs here and will get highly offended if you ask them to leash their dog. Note: this is not a designated dog park.

We had an amazing time at this park. It was our family reunions which made it all the better. It was clean tranquil and had many things to do such as kayaking, volleyball, workouts equipment, a park for the kids and there were outlet on every other pole under the shelter. The weather was so beautiful it really was an awesome day.

Great place for a walk or run..

This park is great, lots of different apparatuses for kids to play on very clean. Lovely view and on most days you get a lovely breeze off the lake. Only downside is on hot summer days there is no shade to get out of the heat. Just we bring lots of water and water toys to help on those summer days.

Peaceful quiet place....

Great park, has a good playground area for the kids, basketball hoops, picnic area, and walking trails along the lake. Winter time they have Ice Skating on the lake, at my weight I wouldnt dare to try it. You can rent row boats in the summer time. The lake is very scenic, only down side, you cant use a stand up board in the lake. There is a fee to enter the parking lot, if you dont have a pass its $10.00 for the day, or you can get a yearly pass for $20.00 if your a Newburgh resident, or $30.00 for non residents.

This is a beautiful park very well maintained. We were there for a family gathering. The playground Id great fun for the children.

Chadwick Lake is a beautiful gem. The park is kept clean, the clientele is pleasant and the trails are very well maintained. The Town of Newburgh clearly works hard to keep this park nice and my dogs and I love walking the trails.

This park is my own little slice of paradise. Residents of Newburgh are eligible for a full 12 month membership at the incredibly low price if $20 (thats for 2 vehicle stickers) Only $40 if you live outside of Newburgh. More than pays for itself even if you only visit 2 or 3 times. Youll want to come everyday. Its so beautiful and peaceful, full of adorable little furry critters, fabulous place to walk your well behaved dog (mostly well behaved humans who use the park DO clean up after their pets) The limited hours might seem restrictive, but its really so much better that there is someone monitoring whos in the park and when. View it as motivation Features include flush toilets, water fountain, very nice pavilions available by reservation, baseball courts, miles of nicely maintained trails, an outdoor workout gym for adults only and big playground for the kiddos, much more. They also host many community events (live music, etc) throughout the years. Go check out this gem of a lake park for yourself!

Although it surely is a beautiful park, the employees are quite unprofessional. While taking my transgender camper to the bathroom, one of the employees came yelling at me and questioning why a girl was going into the boys bathroom. I would have accepted it if she had said it in a nice and professional manner but she had a nasty attitude and treated us as we were filthy animals. She was speaking of protocol this, protocol that, and frankly I did not see any protocol posted anywhere in sight. Even if my camper was in fact a girl what would be the problem of her using the boys bathroom? The girls bathroom only had one working stall and there was a long line. Surely you cant expect a child to contain their bladder for that long. Beautiful park though! I just recommend you hire kind, professional, accepting, and sympathetic employees who are inclusive of all HUMAN BEINGS.

Too expensive to visit from out of town. Nice park, too costly to enjoy...

Currently the only thing to do there is ride bikes, walk, and fish.

A nice park with a comfortable walk around a pretty lake. Close to the city of Newburgh. There is a charge to use the facility and a fairly strict dog policy. Other than that it is very nice.

Nice experience with nature. and although dog excrement is natural, it is not correct that people who walk their dogs do not lift their animal excrement. by little floor the excrement.

Lovely place for a walk. I went under my friends pass with them. Otherwise, it is $20/visit. The trails are plentiful, not all are stone ladened.

Went fishing with my boys on Chadwick Lake. The lake was beautiful and are was very well kept and clean. There was a wonderful park and have row boats to rent. You do need to purchase an annual pass to be able to rent boats but the annual pass is equal to two visits.

Its a great way to spend the day. My grandson loved the playground. He keeps my daughter on her toes, chasing him. The lake is beautiful, plenty of benches and picnic tables for us who need to rest a bit. I havent done the path around the lake yet but its on the list for the next visit...

Theres a lot to do here, out door excersice equipment, kids playground, outdoor ice rink, pavillion, the lake, with jogging/romantic stroll path, boat launches, fishing, and sun or shade as you travel the banks. Actual bathrooms, plenty of parking, and friendly staff.

I am visiting from Las Vegas and as a tourist wasnt permitted to rent a boat.Park is nice though.

The wild life

Nice lake area, less busy trail compare to the dutchess bike trail. Very nice lake and almost kids play area.

We met family here for a nice 4 mile hike, but we found the parking rate ($20 for nonresidents for the day) to be exorbitantly high. The bathrooms should be better maintained with fees that high.

That would be so nice for our community, Town of Newburgh. Also wish you could put your own rowboat into lake. Miss that. Years ago you could.
