Very important area for the community. Throughout the entire day youll see an abundance of people in the park playing soccer, baseball, softball, track, basketball, tennis, and when in season and available ice skating and swimming are also popular. I love going there and it offers so much.

You ever never want to tell ppl about certain places? Very under utilized..so much space! Soccer filed football field track indoor gym baseball its just that great of a space and you can really take a walk and not bump into people.. ride your bike pitch a day tent, read a book. Dip your feet in the Hudson ( ah carry lots of sanitizer ) well you get the idea...

We absolutely love this park. The playgrounds are really great for all ages, they have everything you need. Pools, basketball courts, tennis courts, track, workout spaces, spaces to have outdoor parties, restaurant etc. Its so pretty especially when the sun starts to go down. Its just a really nice state park. You can find what you need here. The only con(s) I see , on the weekends it gets really busy, if you are not there early it is hard to find a spot on the grass.

The view on a clear night is everything! You get to see NJ, the George Washington Bridge and a bit of downtown Manhattan. Sprinklers and pool are open during the summer. The track is open all year round it seems. Theres an area to BBQ with benches in the grass and there is areas where you can just lay out in the grass no benches. The elevator is veeeeery slow. The skate rink/ice rink is very nice, never too crowded. The restaurant Sofrito sits right in the midst of the park. Whether you dine inside or out, catching the sunset is the best part of dinner there.

Great view, a plethora of amenities, restaurants and enough room to spread out. One of the best parks in the city, RSP offers exercise space, picnic areas and long stretches of views that are unmatched. You cannot go wrong visiting this urban green haven. Riverbank State Park is so gorgeous. Just walking around there with the lovely view of the water makes me so happy. Nature is so beautiful. I love that theres different buildings for different activities. Its good to have that around for the people to have fun. I really like that its not far from the trains, bus stops, Pharmacies, and McDonalds. This is a great spot to hang out with friends. I definitely plan on going back with my friends and hopefully bring my family here. Its just a beautiful spot to be in and Im happy it exists.

They dont allow dogs even if you just need to go up from the river and cross back into the city. I was turned around by a staff member with my dog. While NYC is a dog friendly place with all city parks open for dog walking, the state of New York has their own vision for this park.

Huge bonus to the neighborhood and what a wonderful way to make a sewage treatment plant into such a fantastic leisure space. Its the double bonus of getting sewage treatment done for a clean river and having a park with sports facilities + amazing views. I only wish that the swimming pool had better lane etiquette and people with fins and/or boards didnt mingle with regular lap swimmers but never mind. The world cant be perfect.

This place is really rundown and disorganized, it needs some refurbishing and updating to bring it into the modern age. The bathrooms are always so filthy and dirty, and you can smell the piss before you even step in. Maps are outdated, shows you can walk here from the waterfront but doesn’t show you where or how and Vice versa. Seems like it’s mostly locals who come here to use the facilities, don’t see this as a place where anyone one would want to see or visit as there’s really not much to see or do.

Riverbank State Park has two pools. An indoor 50 meter pool and an outdoor 25 yard pool. The indoor pool is configured for long course from 6:30 to 8:15 am. Afterward the bulkhead is placed at 25 yards. The water is clean. The water temperature is on the warm side: 80 to 81 degrees. This is a good pool for lap swimming.Locker rooms are what you would expect to find in a public pool. One buys a pass from the ticket counter near the ice skating rink. Depending on age, it costs $1 or $2 a swim. There is street parking. There is no parking at the complex.
