This is the best park, has everything from vert to flat including tons of grinding spots, the only downside is that there is a group of mothers who bring their children here quite regularly to eat and run all over the pipe, etc. Its the same group of white brunette mothers and their children and its literally like every other day. They dont say anything to their kids and theyll hang around for hours talking back to you and laughing if you ask them for space. Its a big group. And then you get to sweep their goldfish out of your way with the broom for a good 30 minutes.

This park is rad. Solid flow, insanely fun mini. A decent variety of obstacles for rail and ledge skaters. There’s even some space to skate flat ground or get weird on a bank to slappy. Can get crowded with scooter kids at certain times, but overall one of NYC’s best.

It’s a really nice skatepark it’s for street riders because they don’t have the bowl yet. Make sure that you go there after 3pm cause there is construction till 3pm)) And the part of the skatepark that I have on the picture is already built so don’t worry)) Stay Sade out there.

This skate park could be amazing but the hours posted are extremely limited. Full pads are required and dont even think of hopping over the fence, all features are locked down with chains and obstacles.

Looked like a great skate park, but they were closed end everything was locked up. There was no point in hopping the fence because there were big metal tubes chained to almost every obstacle in the park. But on the good side there were some really great stairs and rails around the park. They had a bit of a rough roll away but were still able to be skated. There was also some good flat ground with not many people leading up to where the skate park was

Looks like a decent skatepark if i wasnt locked 24/7 with big metal tubes setup to intentionally block almost every ramp.

The redo of this park has made it to the Parks Capital Projects page. Its supposed to start in May 2016. Its getting around $700K. Unfortunately this park is not a favorite with skateboarders because of its state of rarely being open - even when its supposed to be open. Hopefully, that will change with the redo.

How is it possible to have that much space and not let bikes in. I am in awe.

Always locked. Irregular hours. No bmx. What a beautiful waste of space. 99% percent of the year this park is empty and not in use because its kept locked. It has the potential to be the nicest park in the city for bmx and skateboards but the managers choose to allow to it to go to waste. NYC has the worst skate parks system of any city in the east.

Potential to be great, but managed horribly. Its the only skatepark Ive ever been to that requires FULL PADS. Requiring a helmet is fine, but forcing everyone to wear knee pads and elbow pads is ridiculous. Its extremely constricting and very uncomfortable. Im sure those who created the rules dont skateboard, but take it from me and everyone else that has ever stood on a skateboard: wearing knee pads makes skateboarding much more difficult much less enjoyable. The skatepark is also closed the vast majority of the time and opens for to the public very late in the season and closes early. All around very poor waste of what could be a fantastic spot for the many people on the UWS that love skateboarding, biking, etc. Im disappointed to say the least.
