As Wyndham Club Owners who are from NYC, Midtown 45 is always a great staycation spot for us. Its the quiet I need in the busy city. Its always clean, located in the middle of the city so everything around is accessible, the staff is nice and on my recent stay- they really emphasized safety. Will be back soon.

Always a great property to stay at. Room was spotless. Last stay the view was nothing special, this time we stayed up higher and had a decent view of the Chrylser and UN properties. Staff was friendly. We visited for our Anniversary, and at check-in we were welcomed warmly and asked if it was okay to have Champagne sent up. It never happened. Details are impt. All the public area were closed due to Covid. More disappointment. I dont see the need for this. And, in typical Wyndham fashion, they always try to do an owners update. No means no! Only a couple days were booked, no way we, or most anyone want to sit down to get an update, especially after being sold on banking points only to be forced into specifying a use year. Wyndham greed and deception.

As part of the Wyndham Resorts properties, Midtown 45 stands out on many levels. I am proud to call Midtown 45, my home resort. I have spent the past 2 Christmas at one of the units there and I have been delighted each time. The staff is outstanding. The amenities numerous and the property is well kept, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen in the unit has all the necessary utensils to prepare any meal. This is a proven quality. The roof deck offers really grand views of NYC all lit for the holidays. And the Wyndham sponsored events held there during our stay were always pleasurable. Our host for one such event, Brittany was jovial and congenial, and added to the festive mood. Whether enjoying the comfort inside or on the heated outside, it is a very lovely experience. Because of the propertys location, its proximity to everything is an added bonus. If you like walking, many renowned sites are a few blocks away. For example, the United Nations plaza and its iconic headquarters building is easily reachable within minutes. Rockefeller Center and the always famous Christmas tree, along with Radio City Music Hall, and St. Patricks Cathedral are also within comfortable walking distance; so is Times Square and other well known NYC landmarks. Access to the vast subway system is just a few blocks away and is housed beneath the cavernous and spectacular Grand Central Station. So with comfort to bask in and iconic an NYC an envious few steps away, I look forward to booking another over the Christmas stay at Midtown 45.

Love this hotel! It’s a perfect location with restaurants, bodegas and bars in walking distance. It felt safe too. The roof lounge is great with beautiful views of the Chrysler Building and the river. Very chic apartments around the area. Grand Central Station is a 5-minute walk. The hotel itself is great for a New York City visit. There’s no pool or many amenities so it’s best for a family or couple wanting to spend a long weekend or even a week in the city to see all the sights and return to a cozy hotel to rest. The negative is that for Wyndham owners the timeshare staff will be extremely pushy on attending the “owners update” presentation and trick you into attending by offering you “free breakfast” and “gifts”. They call every hour and insist by offering you a quick 15-minute “in and out” update. The update is actually 90 minutes long and they will do anything to keep you and sell you timeshares and more points to owners. You wanted valuable time from your vacation. Just say no and continue with your vacation.

One of the best Wyndham Hotel we have stayed at. The owners suites are modern, nicely decorated, and have great views of the city. The fitness room is new and very complete, but our favorite part of the stay was the amenities/ activities at the owners lounge on the 33rd floor. The location is also great, being a short away from the UN, the Empire State building, Times Square, Rockefeller center, etc. The service provided by the staff is also top notch. Stayed here for 4 days with my husband over the Thanksgiving Holiday so that we could see the Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade and it was wonderful. Just 6 blocks off the parade rt. In a very calm laid back part of town. Plenty of shopping and dining options available. We had a suite with a kitchen to use and that was nice and well laid out. We loved the tv in the bathroom and the deep soaking tub. On the 33rd floor lounge the daily activities were nice and had wonderful views. The customer lounge was also clean place to hang out as well. My only suggestion is to expand and fix the washing machine. It takes a long time to wash and dry and my clothes still didnt come out clean. But other than that I will visit again. Just dont book a tour with Topview bus. That was the worse experience ever.

WYNDHAM CLUB 45 IN MANHATTANListen to me run.....run as fast and far away as you can. Initially the sales personnel were so pleasant. and of course why not they want your money. they want to make a sale. I decided to sign. The day after signing I had buyers remorse I called the guy and told him Im having second thoughts and he said I already signed and there isnt anything that can be done. I started researching and spoke to a lawyer who said there is something called a cooling period in every state. The amount of time varies by state. In NY state its 7 days. initially I was upset because Im like why didnt he tell me this instead he said there is nothing he can do. so I emailed the quality assurance guy and we arranged for me to come and to the paperwork. Let me tell you when I entered the office the people was disgustingly rude. Not just rude disgustingly rude. There was one guy there who said to me didnt you know you had life commitments before you signed and now you want to negate, thats your bad!!. I was utterly disgusted because how dare he. its my choice where I spend my money. Anyways moving along I was so upset I said Im going to talk to someone about his behavior. Now let me mention upon signing I received a gift vacation. while I was there I asked the guy would I still be able to use it because obviously it was given already. These people rescinded . I now understand the RCI gift certificate can only be used when you have a membership. but that day when I asked I was told because of the issues I encountered they would let me retain it as a form of compensation. Lies again. i tried using it only to be told i cant and i need to become a member in order to use it.This is WYNDHAM 45 in Manhattan. run!!!!!!...utterly disgusting!!!!!

Check in is 4, and I arrived earlier than that. Wyndham kept my bags so I could explore without them. However, when I arrived back close to 5, they seemed unsure where my room would be. They had me go and sit while they got my keys. Two others checked in and got their keys in that time. Then I get to my room to find it a stifling 75 degrees. I changed the thermostat to no avail. The fan wouldnt come on, and the room wouldnt cool. Staff came who said the air was off since it was water based and temperatures were supposed to be cooling. He shrugged in response to the fan not working. And recommended we open the window, but that the room should cool with the cooling temperatures. It didnt. The Wyndham staff could only suggest that they could open the window for us, to which I refused. The beds were comfortable, but because of the constant honking and sirens throughout the night it was difficult to rest with the need to have the window open for the room to not be 75 degrees

Its very annoying. The top level veranda is nice. The room is OK but lacking some amenities promised by Wyndhams corporate to their owners. Wyndham Midtown, the hotel is nice and clean and some of the staff is very nice, they would of gotten five stars from me but it all came down to checking out and how my husband and I was treated when we tried to check out, at 9:30am we called the front desk asking for help with our bags since we had a good number of them, so we waited when it was 9:45 and no one came my husband decided to take what he could down and find out what was the delay, he found out that there was only one bellhop on duty and he was busy helping some people, so he called me and told me to bring what I can down and we will return to collect the rest but when we did we realised we were locked out although my husband told the girl at the front desk that we were going up to collect the last of our things, so we went from a 9:30 checkout to a 10:45 checkout because we could not get our things, we were told that only security can open the door once the 10:00am checkout has passed, only to find out that they only have one security officer on staff at that time and he was assisting other people with key problems because even persons who were not checkingout were being locked out, so we had to wait over half an hour to get the room open and get our things all because Wyndham could not hire more than one bellhop and security officer to work a shift, which is not acceptable when you have a hotel of that size and owners keep investing hundreds of thousands of dollars and still having to paying maintenance and HOA fees to have a seamless vacation experience.

On one hand the doormen are hands down the best and the staff is very friendly, but on the other hand they are put in the position of trying to sell timeshares, which when you are already staying there, you dont want to hear about every time you walk in the door. I get it, they make commission on sales, but management really needs to focus more on customer enjoyment and creating a vacation like atmosphere. Definitely does not feel like a vacation trying to dodge the staff in the lobby. The hotel itself needs some updating. It is trying to be an upscale hotel, but is definitely missing the mark.

We had a really great stay at this hotel. The room was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Plus, the view from the terrace on the 33rd floor Owners Club is stunning!Another nice thing is that there are plenty of dining options nearby. If youre able to get a room with a small kitchen, Amish Market is down the street. You can buy groceries there.Since driving around the city is difficult, using public transportation is, by far, youre best option. There is a bus stop on the corner that will take you Uptown. The Downtown bus stop is one block west of the hotel on Lexington Avenue. The subway will take you pretty much where ever you need to go in all of New York. Grand Central Station is less than a 10 minute walk away. If you are staying for at least 3 days and are solely relying on public transportation to get around, I highly recommend getting a MTA 7 Day Unlimited Ride Metrocard. They are $32 per person (plus $1, for the card). The only thing that keeps me from giving this hotel 5 stars is that its very noisy there and the parking situation. One night, we were awakened several times by the sounds of water running through the pipes. The charge for parking is $85 per night! Fortunately, I found a garage on the SpotHero app for $40 per night, one block north of the hotel.

A short 60 minute presentation turned into 4 hours of harassment to get you to buy into their timeshare program and not excepting “no, not right now”. Left angry and in tears because they didn’t except a no over and over again. Ruined our last day of vacation and we missed our reservation to see the Statue of Liberty. Not too shabby. It is not a resort as much as a hotel. Decent rooms but most have fewer amenities than typical hotel room standards and very little on site without going out for it. Most anything you need is close and if youre a tourist youll be out most of the day anyhow. They are not flexible for their room bookings. Had one room 3 night and another room for 2 nights for visiting family. But when family wanted one more night the hotel stuck to their 2 night minimum booking without refund rules. So family left earlier than desired and the room they had to leave remained totally empty as well as having many others empty. Seems like the 2 night booking rule basically shot them in the foot and could cost them money elsewhere if there is no flexibility in it, especially so with an (owner) as I am. They have no cleaning services during your stay either. And it takes an hour or more to get requested toilet paper, towels, etc. to your room.

This review is strictly about the welcome experience. Just let people say no and get to their rooms... I get it some sales tactics are dont take no for an answer. But when youve been told no to everything there comes a point where you respect your guest and say thanks anyways enjoy your night. Instead the manager comes over and attempts to call me out about not knowing all the new programs they offer. Im here to enjoy myself and if I want to learn more or expand my investment, Ill be the first to sign up. But if Im not ready, dont ruin my vacation experience. I eventually had to just walk to the elevator and leave... But I feel for those on here who felt bad and signed up due to pressure. It only ends up with a negative review and a response from management that theyre just doing this bc theyre passionate and want people to be informed. If that was the case, give me the packet, ask if I want to know more, and if I say no say have a great night were here if you need anything.

This Wyndham has an excellent location. The rooms are very updated. There is even a television in the bathroom so you can watch something while you are relaxing in the bathtub. Right next door is an Irish Pub and a block away is a great 99 cent pizza place. Will be staying here anytime I come back to New York.

Nice place in the heart of ManhattanStayed here for three nights on a friends / relative visit to NYC. The location is excellent, near Grand Central and close to theater district. Going everywhere is a breeze with the subway and bus. The rooms are very nicely appointed, not bad for NYC standard (expect it to be much smaller than other Wyndham resorts). This is for Wyndham timeshare holders and it’s a nice “home away from home”. The location in the network enhances the value of the entire Wyndham timeshare value.Tip: The “x07” rooms are very nice, in the corner.

Timeshare meeting typical sales pitch how Wyndham is the best. Had some good pointsBut, we brought an issue about a Wyndham property we were staying at. They showed interest but it was if you by into our property, we will see what can do. Everything fell on deaf ears, so we did not purchase. You can a great deal about a business by how they treat their customers and their potential customers.
