Thank you for opening the pool at Jackie Robinson! We have the nicest Parks Dept staff there, and its been wonderful to cool off there this otherwise awful summer.

Nice and quiet. Not really any non-playground space, but paths are nice when no people on them.

I enjoyed The Multicultural festival this weekend at the bandstand. I enjoyed the different dance groups, singers, and bands that performed. The vendors selling books, T- shirts, bags, jewelry, art and food. Most of all people in the community coming together to celebrate their culture and have fun.

Very nice park with a beautiful public Olympic six swimming pool and its great for exercising walking from up and down the hill via steps. My favorite part of the park is the section that runs on Edgecombe Ave from 145 Street to 153 Street with benches , beautiful flowers with trees lined on one side and the opposite side are residential apts buildings . It’s best for relaxing , hanging out with residents neighbors and sometimes a little BBQ picnic. Mr Softies ice cream trunk occasionally passed by with sweets treats for everyone

This beautiful neighborhood park is beautifully situated in the center of Harlem off of West 145th Street it has the public swimming pool it has play areas for kids the only deficit for the park is there isnt a proper dog run but other than that its beautifully kept it beautifully manicured and a great place for an intimate picnic and I definitely enjoy our times here.

I visited the pool for the first time this week. It wasnt too crowded when I went (around after 1pm). Its a spacious pool with several lifeguards. If youd like to go, remember to bring the following :A lockYour shower or water shoesTowelYour own water bottle.Bags are not allowed in the pool area. Staff can be cranky when its time to clear out. Showers are available but leave enough time to use them at the end of your visit if you choose to use them. The staff will rush you to leave as they want to go on their break around 2:50pm when the first session ends. They are explicit about this no matter if you are with a brood of kids, a few adult friends or solo. Pool opens daily, as per the security guard, at 11:45am.

JRP would do Jackie Robinson proud. With its eclectic views from atop the hills, overlooking the downward slope to East Harlem and local landmarks and the Gothic design of some of the CC buildings and churches will put a smile on your face and a flutter in your New York heart. There is a dog run here, separated for small and large dogs so this is a frequent stop for Cleo and I, she loves it - and I love watching her chase dogs and sniff some booties. (Guess the proverbial apple doesnt fall far from the tree?)

This park being designated as an historical park is clearly underserved. The indoor facilities and programs have been updated to accommodate the influx of yuppies and the existing residents. But the renovations of the bathrooms are null and void. What is the historical society and planning commission doing about this matter. Is this a gloss over or what. I for a fact know the pipe is broken under the park facility bathroom at 149th street and bradhurst ave. So not only are you people dragging your feet, but infact polluting the underground areas. Not only is all that waste going directly into the soil, but could and will spead and kill growth in the whole park area. 4 plus years and nothing but a constant poisoning of the park. If this was downtown it would have been done already. Guess what? Downtown is uptown,so what happens when that pollution comes up and kills someones child playing in the park? HUH?????
