Surrounding Park is well kept. The garbage these city employees must clean up is gross. But the workers are dedicated, honest and are essential to the quality of life in New York City. I admire and applaud them. You folks are the heart and soul of NYC not ur Governor or Mayor..

This is one hidden gem in NYC. The view from the top and towards the highline is simply amazing with the Harlem and East River in front of you.

I went there for a COVID test. I needed a 72 hour test in August which was almost impossible at this time. The whole team made it happen. They have been so welcoming, so generous and so dedicated!!!! THANK YOU. ️️️️️

If I could give this PUBLIC RECREATION LOCATION a NO star I would. I came in simply to use the restroom and the employees were very rude and did not let me use the restroom. Sad...

I used to go to this pool back about 1973-1975, I remember sneaking in and sometimes we used to walk in with the rest of them. To say that it brings back memories is an understatement, wow! We lost some family members along the way and I guess this is what makes it so special. Do yourselves a favor, love each other, forgive each other, life is too short. Be blessed. May Gods richest and best be yours.

I have been to this pool many times and I love it. They do require that much things. For the lockers you can use locks with a key or combination lock

Best pool for toddlers, no question! There is a huge Olympic size wading pool. It is free, too! Just bring a combination lock with your stuff.

Huge toddlers pool is awesomely spacious. Has never been crowded when Ive visited.Beware: usually crowded when they re-open at 4pm, so you may have to wait in a 30-40mins line. After that, line is almost nonexistent. So I recommend getting there at 4.30-40pm, if youre going in the afternoon.

I go to this pool atleast once every summer. its ok, great for swimming, but can get a bit crowded at times. Has a good variety of water per feet, for babies and older people to swim.

Thats my old neighborhood. One time I snuck in went swimming in the deep area. The staff called my GMA they told her I couldnt come back unless I learned how to swim. The next day she took me for swimming lessons. Since then Ive been a fish in the water. Recently I went there for 2 days. The neighborhood has changed but swimming there brought back so many memories. Reminiscing was so wonderful for me I totally enjoyed my time there and Im looking forward to visiting next year.

Went swimming here today, mixed reactions about the pools.Pros:- Huge- Two pools, one of which is only 1-2 feet deep and therefore great for young children, the main one has a depth of 3-10 feet (so you can jump in at one end)- Having gone on a weekday, I did not find it too crowded- Changing areas, which are outdoors by the way, have individual stalls for privacy, something not seen at all NYC pools- Easy access to subway and Highbridge to the Bronx- The water tower provides an interesting backdrop- The main pool has a zero-depth entrance ramp, great for those with mobility impairments and for slowly adjusting to the water temperature- Long set of tiered concrete seats for spectating/relaxing- Beats the heatCons:- The paint on the floor of the pool was chipping off all over the place; in one spot you could clearly see the bare concrete beneath it. I hope it gets redone this off-season.- There were far too few ladders, making it seem difficult to exit. I actually believe it does not comply with standards to this extent- While its possible to jump in, the deep end has a railing along most of it and temporary barriers are set up by most of the openings, so you have to squeeze by the lifeguard post and walk along the edge- I was told that there used to be diving boards, but these were taken away- There are two structures in the middle of the pool that a while ago were spray features, but have been decommissioned since people climbed on them? I dont see what difference it makes if the fountains are still there sitting dormant?- Lifeguards were sure blowing their whistles frequently, and yes I did notice some horseplay, although I did not feel unsafe
