Whether your playing ball or having a picnic. Great lawn is where its at. Stroll over to the nearby turtle pond. Scale the mighty belvedere castle. Sit beneath the shady pines. A perfect place to visit after the MET or museum of natural history.

The epitome of urban serenity, one of the locations for the New York Philharmonic’s summer concerts in the park, one of very few places in Manhattan where you can see the non-obstructed sky.

A lot of people doing picnic, reading a book or just hanging out with friends. Some playing baseball and some basketball.Really cool view of the skyscrapers of midtown far away. You can pass an entire day at this location and the rest of central park.

Perfect location to just lie down and enjoy sunbathing on a summer day. The place is always buzzing with people on weekends and holidays. You would find people of all age groups having the time of their life here. A lot of movies have also been shot here.

It is a piece of grass. But it was fenced so you could not even (officially) step on it in order to take photos of the scenery around you. However, if it is opened for the public it i likely to be a great area to relax and escape the cities madness a little bit.

End of May...quite warm in full sun but no bugs yet, is absolutely ideal. Trust.I try to stay far away from the football throwers and frisbee players but without fail they slowly gravitate towards me. That and the drones are the only annoying things. Most people keep the music to a minimum. Theres a little weed smoking, technically not allowed but people are respectful about it. People still leave their trash though. Cmon guys. Cmon.Even on a spectacular Saturday, in May its not crowded. Its perfection and one of the best parts of NYC.

As the name sake would imply this is not your average park lawn, it is great. It can get a bit crowded during the weekend as everyone wants to escape their lonely studios during the pandemic however, there is usually enough room to still stay socially distanced from others, you just have to look for a bit.

An outstanding public lawn in Central Park. This is a great place to visit with friends or family, sit and read a book, play catch, or appreciate the fresh outdoor air. I would recommend visiting all of Central Park, and the Great Lawn is a good location to relax for visitors and natives alike. New York City is fortunate to have such wonderful public parks, so lets advocate for more!

The great lawn is a beautiful place without a doubt. Never had any issues when being there. Thats until the day of the global citizens festival! Never seen such an unorganized concert in my life! People were skipping, there was a stampede and everything. Never going to a free concert there again.

This is another review of a great park. I have posted a lot of pictures on the park. Different seasons so a person can get a sense of what its like. Took some good pictures this past weekend. Will post them soon. I think I may have posted some already. Read all the reviews and just look at the pictures. If that doesnt make you want to come here, I dont know what will. Great place.

Well, Im very biased to rate The Great Lawn at this time. I was here to watch the Global Citizen Festival 2019.What can I say? Its huge, the grass is soft and it hosted over 60,000 people and an amazing 5 hour concert aiming to end World poverty.Whats not to love about it?

Pasturesque horizon to sunbathe or sport-play. The vastness of the area from time to time is the theater of Pokemon fanatics and seeing the chase invisible creatures with battery-operated gadgets is quite fascinating. It has all the qualities one is looking for to escape from hustle-and-bustle.
