An outstanding gallery, located on the 5th floor of the building at 529 West 20th Street in the Chelsea district of Manhattan, New York. The owners specialise in presenting solo exhibitions by established and emerging artists from continental Africa, the Caribbean region and the global African diaspora - including contemporary African American painters, sculptors and installationists. At the time of my visit, in mid February 2020, the featured showcase was The World Gives Life by Trokon Nagbe - which included a series of delicate, perforated and torn lengths of white paper, suspended from the ceiling, representing the fragility and precariousness of our lives.
